Apple is working on AI robots with Siri personality

This is not the first time we have heard about Apple working on AI robot assistants at home. There was a report back in May suggesting that the company is working on two smart robots, one of which has a robotic arm. The new report from Bloomberg builds upon the earlier leak.
The new findings confirm that Apple is working on not one, but several robot projects. The one that's going to be particularly interesting to the end consumer is an iPad-like device with a robotic arm that can naturally respond to human interaction. It can even turn to the person speaking to it.
The small robot will be able to track a person during a FaceTime call and keep them in frame at all times.
The device will feel alive thanks to Siri. Reportedly, Apple is working on an improved version of Siri that's able to hold a conversation more naturally and chime in during a conversation. For instance, when two people are talking about dinner plans, the robot may politely suggest a nearby place.
Some believe that Apple will use the Finder logo smiley face from macOS, so it's more relatable and has a "presence" in the room.
Allegedly, there are multiple teams involved in Apple's robot projects - hardware, software, AI and interface design teams, while the overall lead is Kevin Lynch, known for his involvement in the smartwatch software and automotive projects within Apple.
Apple is likely working on more than just a robotic arm in the future. A wheeled robot similar to Amazon's Astro and even a humanoid model are actively being discussed around Apple's quarters.
Additionally, Apple is eyeing the manufacturing industry too. A large robotic arm codenamed T1333 is under development, and it's designed to be used in manufacturing.
Keep in mind that even though Apple might indeed be working on those projects, there's no guarantee that any of them will come out, just like the failed Project Titan - Apple's unreleased car. However, the AI tablet arm sounds like a product that's really happening.

Apple wants to bring Touch ID to its watches starting next year

Vlad, 20 August 2025 According to a new report purportedly based on internal Apple developer code, the company is currently busy exploring ways to bring Touch ID (aka a fingerprint scanner if you don't live in Apple's world) to its watches. This will arrive next year at the earliest, so presumably on the Apple Watch Ultra 4. The code in question specifically references "AppleMesa", which has long been the company's internal codename for Touch ID. Since the code is for internal use only, the idea is most likely still in the prototype stage. Hence, none of the watches coming out this year will have the feature. If you're wondering just where a fingerprint sensor would even go on a watch, the answer is quite simple when we look at smartphones - basically, it's either going to be embedded into a button, or into the screen. An optical in-display sensor has been rumored in the past, and of course there's always the route of putting it in the side button. A rumor from last week claimed Apple's watches are due for a big redesign next year, and this might fit right in with that. The 2026 models may also get a new processor. Source

Apple's entire iPhone 17 family to be made in India for the US market from the beginning Comments

p PriteshThakker, 1 hour ago Seems USPresident don't want to recognize that both China & India provide cost effect... more Remember when Apple started selling iPhone X at $1000 right off the bat, and while the internet balked at the price, it became a bestseller instead? Price increases in the US won't affect the numbers that much, simply because most consumers buy iPhones under a contract. A $50 (rumored) price increase won't mean a thing when you are spreading the phone's cost over 2 year period. It will only affect international markets where consumers are paying phones at full price upfront, but then again Apple already has a much smaller market share in those markets anyway, so it wouldn't bother Apple much P Anonymous, 4 hours ago Ermm.. aren't the tariffs for India also very high? Seems USPresident don't want to recognize that both China & India provide cost effectiveness for mass manufacturing of products. If manufacturing moves out of China & India, then selling prices most likely will increase, at the time when every company wants to see growth, this can result in lesser ppl buying further costly iPhones. Why they can't stop use ugly design. The last beautiful design from iphone is in iphone xs max💔 M Smartphones are exempt from Trump's 50% tariff in India. ? Ermm.. aren't the tariffs for India also very high? ? potato4k, 9 hours ago Very interesting. This can cause ripple effects in a larger economic scale as it might encoura... more Absolutely correct. 1 [deleted post] Correct! Baitman, 7 hours ago Apple should move the production to America so that iPhone becomes three times the current price 😁 Well, that's what Tronald Dump wants. C For peasants, iPhone 17 with one and two main camera's with small camera island. p Zack1, 8 hours ago People want made in USA not India or any other is playing here and there. Unlike or Japanese, Americans wouldn't care that much about country of origin. Just like most consumers in general, Americans put value and brand trust first. It would only matter if Apple couldn't maintain its QC and support. S ugh, they really have a cheap-knock off design huh. Any leak about what is the upgrade here except the usual chip update? B Apple should move the production to America so that iPhone becomes three times the current price 😁 Socalteknique, 12 hours ago Prepare for poor quality control and issues lol And it's truly visible. Even for other brands. Such as the quality of the vehicles that come from Indian plants of Volvo, Mercedes-Benz, or even MAN is much worse compared to their European counterparts. I I would never support Apple if I lived in the Divided States of America. Too bad their user base is dense and continues to support them going broke while Apple takes their money 😵‍💫 ? I think these phones are assembled in india. Similar to designed in California but made in China. All parts are made in China and assembled in India. Didn't india get the 25% tarrif too? Or phones are exempted? D Looks like shit however nothing new interesting 😁 ? Zack1, 8 hours ago People want made in USA not India or any other is playing here and there. No they don't want it. If its made in usa it will be really expensive. China was ok. D [deleted post] They feel safe behind keyboards knowing their backwards thinking is not right and downright ignorant. Pray they don't breed. Z People want made in USA not India or any other is playing here and there. H Doesn't India have 50% tariffs from tomorrow? How then will Apple sell these at their usual o̶v̶e̶r̶p̶r̶i̶c̶e̶d̶ normal price?
