Jordan Intercepting Missiles and Drones in Its Airspace
Jordan's air force intercepted missiles and drones entering its airspace Friday, according to its state news agency.
The interceptions took place because the missiles and drones were likely to fall within Jordanian territory, posing a threat to civilians, it said. Israel has been intercepting some of the 100 drones launched by Iran outside Israeli airspace, the Israeli military said.

"Was US intel wrong?": Fox News' Baier doesn't buy Netanyahu's justification for attacking Iran
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had no reason to expect a hostile reception on Fox News. After all, he'd been warmly welcomed in the halls of Congress by Democrats and Republicans alike. The GOP is even more unwavering than their nominal opposition in their support of Israel, so the conservative media giant could be expected to offer glad-handing and softball questions. That's not what the Israeli leader got when he sat down with Bret Baier on Sunday. The anchor repeatedly pushed back on Netanyahu's justifications for launching missile strikes on Iran. After several days of missile exchanges between Israel and Iran, Baier was critical of Netanyahu's assertion that his "preemptive strike" was necessary. "We were facing an imminent threat, a dual existential threat, one, the threat of Iran rushing to weaponize their enriched uranium to make atomic bombs with a specific and declared intent to destroy us," Netanyahu said. "It was the 12th hour. We did act to save ourselves, but also, I think, to not only protect ourselves but protect the world from this incendiary regime. We can't have the world's most dangerous regime have the world's most dangerous weapons." Baier didn't buy it, pointing out that U.S. intelligence has found no proof of an Iranian nuclear weapons program. 'Less than two months ago, the new director of national intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, testified on Capitol Hill saying that everything had been suspended since 2003 and had not restarted, that the nuclear program had not been restarted by the Iranians," he said. "So, did something change from the end of March until this week? Was the U.S. Intel wrong?' Netanyahu countered that Iran would "achieve a test device and possibly an initial device within months." Elsewhere in the interview, Netanyahu claimed that two assassination attempts on President Donald Trump in 2024 were orchestrated by Iranians. "These people who chant death to America, try to assassinate President Trump twice, killed 241 of your Marines in Beirut, killed and injured thousands of American soldiers in Afghanistan and Iraq," Netanyahu said, "do you want these people to have nuclear weapons and the means to deliver them to your cities?" "You just said Iran tried to assassinate President Trump twice. Do you have intel that the assassination attempts on President Trump were directly from Iran?" Watch the interview below:

Trump: ‘It's possible' US becomes involved in Israel-Iran conflict
President Trump said 'it's possible' the United States becomes involved in the current conflict between Iran and Israel, ABC News reported Sunday. 'We're not involved in it. It's possible we could get involved. But we are not at this moment involved,' Trump told ABC News. ABC News also reported that Trump expressed interest in the possibility of mediation in the Iran-Israel conflict by Russian President Vladimir Putin. 'I would be open to it. [Putin] is ready. He called me about it. We had a long talk about it. We talked about this more than his situation. This is something I believe is going to get resolved,' Trump said, per ABC News. On Thursday overnight, Israel bombarded Iran, moving forward with its largest-ever military operation against its common Middle East rival and upending a push from President Trump for a nuclear deal with Iran. The U.S. attempted to quickly distance itself from the strikes that killed some of Iran's top military leaders. However, Trump administration officials were reportedly briefed on plans prior to the strikes. 'Tonight, Israel took unilateral action against Iran. We are not involved in strikes against Iran and our top priority is protecting American forces in the region,' Secretary of State Marco Rubio said in a statement on Thursday evening. 'Israel advised us that they believe this action was necessary for its self-defense. President Trump and the Administration have taken all necessary steps to protect our forces and remain in close contact with our regional partners,' he added. The Hill has reached out to the White House for further comment.

Iran's response to Israeli strikes a 'matter of principle', ambassador to UK says
Iran's response to Israeli attacks on its nuclear facilities is "self-defence" and a "matter of principle", the Iranian ambassador to the UK has told Sky News. Speaking to The World With Yalda Hakim, Seyed Ali Mousavi said the "barbaric Israeli regime" is "violating international law" - describing Israel's actions in recent days as "an act of aggression against the Iranian people". The conflict between Israel and Iran - once played out in a series of proxy wars - has escalated in the past three Friday morning, explosions hit Tehran as Israel carried out a major attack on its top army leaders, nuclear sites, and nuclear scientists. Iran threatened "severe punishment" and quickly retaliated with a wave of missiles. When questioned about whether Iran could continue fighting Israel, the Iranian ambassador told Yalda Hakim that "it is a matter of principle". He said: "This is about self-defence, there is no doubt about it. "We are a responsible member state of the UN and we do all activities according to our international obligations. "Any activities are only in the framework of self-defence." He added that his country would "do our best to preserve our territorial integrity", and that "with the help of God", Iran will "materialise endeavours concretely against our enemy - the Israeli regime". Mr Mousavi also told Hakim that Iran's nuclear activities are "monitored", and that recent comments by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) were "politically motivated". Read more here: The UN nuclear watchdog's board of governors found Iran was not complying with its nuclear obligations for the first time in 20 years. Iran said it has "always adhered" to the safeguarding obligations laid down by the watchdog. Announcing Operation Rising Lion on Friday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed Iran had recently taken steps to weaponise enriched uranium, which could be used to make nuclear weapons. But Mr Mousavi stressed that Iran's "peaceful activities" at its "nuclear fields" were only for the "generation of electricity, and other peaceful" things. Iran was due to continue its round of negotiations with the US in Muscat - however, this was cancelled, given recent tensions.
