Meghan's Latest Move Could Derail Harry & Charles ‘Fragile' Reunion Plans—There's ‘Nothing Good About This'
The latest news out of the British royal family is that the feud between King Charles and Prince Harry could soon come to an end. Senior aides for the two have met, in what is considered a first step towards reconciliation, and the lines of communication are now open for the first time in a while. But since the King and his son have yet to meet, reconciliation could still be derailed. One of the things that could potentially affect it, according to experts, is Meghan Markle's upcoming legal fight with her estranged half-sister, Samantha Markle. The Post reported that Markle is preparing for another legal fight with her sister, and that this could affect the possible reconciliation. More from StyleCaster Where Diana Would Have Stood in Harry & William's 'Profound' Feud After Reports the Heir 'F-ing Hates' His Brother The 1 Meghan-Related Ultimatum Charles Gave Harry Before Agreeing to Reconcile-'This Is About Father & Son' Related: Here's what each royal inherited from Queen Elizabeth 'More legal disputes between Meghan and Samantha could break the fragile links between Harry and Meghan, trying to establish a way forward,' Ian Pelham Turner told Fox News. 'The royals are hyper-sensitive toward any legal issues in America, resulting in any more secrets coming out to the detriment of the royals in the UK.' He even suggested the timing isn't a coincidence. 'This could be misconstrued as a timely action by Samantha Markle as she sees her half-sister on the ropes regarding Netflix and a glimmer of hope to be reconnected with the royal family.' Samantha Markle sued Meghan Markle for allegedly making 'demonstrably false and malicious statements' about her during an interview with Oprah Winfrey. During that interview, Markle claimed she grew up as an only child. Samantha Markle, who shares a father with Meghan, claimed the comments subjected her to 'humiliation and hatred' and is there for asking for $75,000. A hearing is set to take place Sept. 9 in Jacksonville, Florida. 'The Obama-appointed District Court judge dismissed the case against Meghan Markle, notwithstanding that there were sufficient allegations made, which that judge was required to treat as true,' Samantha Markle's lawyer, Peter Ticktin, told The Post. 'Hence, we filed our appeal, which is now fully briefed and awaiting the oral argument scheduled for September 9. We have good reason to hope for a reversal for the reasons expounded in our briefs.' According to royal expert Hilary Fordwich, the legal battle is sure to make royals wary. 'There is nothing good about this for Meghan Markle,' Fordwich told Fox News Digital. 'Her reputation is tarnished further by her own sister making such allegations.' 'Whether true or not, it doesn't matter, as neither way does it reflect well,' she added. This is far from the first time Samantha Markle has come at her sister. In 2022, she filed a libel lawsuit that was dismissed after a judge ruled Meghan Markle's remarks were opinions and 'not capable of being proved false.' Considering the state of Meghan Markle's relationship with both her sister and her father, it is unlikely these legal challenges will stop. Whether they end up being a problem for Markle or Prince Harry going forward, particularly as they try to mend Harry's relationship with his own family, remains to be seen. A statement from Manchester United read: 'The tie was halted due to a head injury suffered by Reds midfielder Sekou Kone, inside his own box, and the youngster was taken off on a stretcher. 'We can confirm Sekou is conscious, stable and communicating with United's medical team. 'He has been taken to hospital, as a precaution, for further checks. 'Everybody at the club wishes him a speedy recovery.' A statement on Tamworth's official X account said: 'Due to the medical situation, we are forced to abandon tonight's fixture, details will be revealed in due course. 'We would like to wish safe travels to all the Man United fans, staff and players. We especially wish Sekou Kone a speedy recovery.'
