‘Just want it to stop': Resident speaks after recurring pride flag theft in Eagle Mountain, officials seek info
SALT LAKE CITY () — Hailey Randall has put up LGBTQ+ pride flags at her Eagle Mountain home for years — but over the past year, the flags at her home have been stolen or vandalized on several occasions.
'We just want it to stop,' Randall said. 'We just want everybody to feel safe and loved.'
On Monday, the shared , which happened on the night of March 24. The UCSO said pride flags had been stolen from the home 'over the past year, and again the past few nights,' and is seeking information about the thefts.

'The suspects appear to be juveniles and were seen leaving the area on a yellow electric bikes and mountain bikes,' the sheriff's office said in the video.
The footage shared by the sheriff's office shows three suspects, with two of the individuals grabbing onto and hanging from a rainbow flag until it detached from the home. A third person is seen pulling a transgender flag out of the grass in the yard.
Randall said the incidents first started last summer, when a pride flag on her property was taken down, ripped up, and thrown back onto the yard. Another incident happened around Halloween last year, when a flag at the home was torn down again.
'The first time, it was really hurtful… almost kind of shocking,' Randall said. 'We hear that this stuff happens, but to actually have it happen to us was… kind of a gut punch.'
Randall said as the incidents have continued, it's been 'frustrating,' and that they keep replacing the flags to 'have that representation out there that we believe that everybody should feel safe for whoever they are.'
Randall said similar pride flag vandalism has occurred within the neighborhood and believes the suspects may be local to the area.
'Just please stop,' Randall said. 'Even if you don't like what they stand for, or agree with it … it's something that's important to us, and it's not good to come onto people's properties and take things. Just let it be.'

Udall neighbors rattled after park restrooms set on fire — twice
UDALL, Kan. (KSNW) — You could smell it before you saw it — the charred remains of the city park restrooms, torched and melted from the inside out. Udall Police Chief Erik King is calling it arson and says it's unlike anything he's dealt with in town before. The damage is estimated at around $10,000. Neighbors say the smoke drew their attention before they knew what was happening. 'I was doing yardwork and I had the boys, and a lady from out of town came up to the fence and asked if I had seen a person walking around,' said Skylar Kistler, who lives next to the park. That's when she noticed the smoke coming from the bathroom. 'It kind of made us, I guess, feel protective, like a little more protective, like kind of upset that anybody would do that,' she said. Her husband Tylor says the damage is personal. 'I've lived here my whole life, so it's kind of nice to have a park like this with a splashpad, and you know everything here for the boys right in our backyard, and it's just kind of bad. This is a good building, and it's terrible,' he said. Chief King says the person believed to be responsible has been arrested and is currently being held in juvenile detention. Rapid City man gets 25-years for dealing meth
RAPID CITY, SD (KELO) — A federal judge on Friday sentenced a Rapid City man, tied to a Mexican drug cartel, to 25-years in prison. 38-year-old Guillermo Calderon pleaded guilty in March to Conspiracy to Distribute a Controlled Substance. Prosecutors say Calderon was the leader of the conspiracy that trafficked significant amounts of methamphetamine to Rapid City and Pine Ridge from Mexican cartel operatives. Father disarmed son after deadly shooting
WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Newly released court documents are shedding light on the case of a Wichita man charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of his pregnant girlfriend, 20-year-old Naomi Oglesby. Matthew Criscenzo, 19, was arrested at the scene on May 25 after officers found Oglesby shot in the head inside a home on South Laura Street. According to an affidavit made public this week, Criscenzo made multiple unsolicited statements to officers while in custody, saying he 'shot her,' 'didn't want her to go,' and 'didn't think [his] finger was on the trigger.' Here's how to report damage Oglesby, who was 37 weeks pregnant, was rushed to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead minutes after her baby girl was delivered via emergency C-section. He told police he found Naomi on the ground and Matthew holding a gun. He took the weapon away and placed it on the front porch before emergency responders arrived. Criscenzo appeared in court on May 29, where he was charged with first-degree murder and aggravated battery. He remains held in the Sedgwick County Jail on $500,000 bond.
