Rob Lake, one of the world's best illusionists, is returning to Dubai this March with a pocket full of jaw-dropping tricks and ' how did he do that?!'
Lake is one of the world's most celebrated illusionists, and he will perform five shows here in Dubai across three nights from March 21 to 23, 2025. He will be performing at the Dubai World Trade Center with DXB Live.
Lake has been dubbed 'The World's Greatest Illusionist' by NBC, and has dazzled millions in Times Square and the Las Vegas Strip. He last performed here in November 2022, where he took to the stage at the Dubai Opera with his unbelivable acts. He has performed across the world in over 60 countries.
The illusionist has been doing this for quite some time now. In fact, at the age of 25 he became the youngest magician in history to receive the Merlin Award. The award is equivalent to that of an Oscar, and so a huge one to receive for magicians.
He has also served as an illusion designer and creative consultant for Disney's Aladdin on Broadway, Harry Potter philharmonic global tours. One of his most famous tricks He had Adele disappear on stage. Wow.

The director went on to explain that sometimes the timing and type of work just don't match up. "I still would like to get Jodie Foster. But I guess after asking a few times, I thought maybe I'm not... I think sometimes somebody has an idea of the kind of work they want to do at that time in his or her life, and we weren't right," he said. Anderson did not specify which roles he envisioned for Foster. Anderson's most recent work, The Phoenician Scheme, marks his 13th feature film. The film is centred around Benicio del Toro, who plays Zsa-zsa Korda, a wealthy businessman. Korda becomes the target of a dangerous pursuit after appointing his nun daughter, Sister Liesl (Mia Threapleton), as the sole heir to his vast estate. The film has been released in theatres, garnering attention for its unique storytelling and star-studded cast, further cementing Anderson's signature style. Meanwhile, Jodie Foster made her debut in French cinema with Vie privee (A Private Life). The film premiered last month at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, where The Phoenician Scheme was also in the running for the Palme d'Or.

Emirati theatre to make strong comeback in Eid Al Adha 2025
DXB LIVE, the experiential agency of the Dubai World Trade Centre Theatre, will host two performances of One Thousand Nights and a Wedding with Al Ahli Dubai Theatre on June 7 and 8, during Eid Al Adha. One Thousand Nights and a Wedding is a rich tapestry of comedy, drama, and music while celebrating traditions that transcend generations. Al Ahli Dubai Theatre uses their artistic production to demonstrate the balance between important family traditions and the reality experienced by the youth of today. The production blends ancient tales with a modern social commentary of life in the UAE. The comeback of Emirati theatre is being spearheaded by DXB LIVE who are working on a comprehensive 2025 calendar, to boost recognition of Emirati theatre, support Emirati art and highlight the talents of young Emirati actors.
