‘Breaking up with someone on Mother's Day is diabolical': Lil Wayne's ex speaking out

Miami Herald15-05-2025

Is Lil Wayne a bad breaker upper?
That's what the rapper's ex says, and then some.
In a series of Instagram Stories captured on Sunday by Entertainment Weekly, Denise Bidot tells her followers that the 'Lollipop' singer did the deed via text.
'Breaking up with someone on Mother's Day is diabolical,' the Miami native wrote. 'Prayers up though. God always pulls me through. Walking with faith.'
In a video, the plus sized model claims that Wayne kicked her and her daughter Joselyn out of his house and moving has been tough because she is recovering from mommy makeover surgery.
'I can't even lift boxes,' the onetime 'Curvy Girls' star says, 'but this man has his assistants coming to help kick us out today.'
It's unclear where they currently live (most likely L.A.), but Wayne sold his Miami Beach mansion on Allison Island back in 2023.
Bidot, who grew up in Kendall, also lodged cheating and abuse allegations against her boyfriend of five years.
'I've been nothing but supportive to this man, loved him 'til the end of the world.'
Weezy and Bidot went way public with their relationship at the height of the COVID pandemic in the summer of 2020. They appeared to split briefly, reportedly due to a difference in politics in 2022, but reunited shortly after.

Priyanka Chopra Shares the Cutest New Malti Pics From New York Trip With Nick Jonas

On Saturday, Priyanka Chopra reflected on the month of May with an Instagram photo carousel featuring a number of new cute pics of her daughter, Malti Marie. Chopra's husband, Nick Jonas, and his brother, Joe Jonas, also made appearances, along with their family and friends. The actress shared a number of pics where Malti is enjoying playdates with her other young pals, in the playground and working on art projects. Malti was pictured precociously applying makeup from a colorful palette, getting her nails done, and walking by her dad's side, holding his hand. The couple also appeared on a yacht in the water by New York City, enjoying a gorgeous view of Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty. Speaking to ELLE in 2023, the Citadel star said of Malti, 'She's got me wrapped around her finger. I don't even know how I'll ever discipline her because I just don't have it in me.' The couple welcomed their first child via surrogate in January 2022. When they announced her arrival, they shared that Malti spent her first 100 days in the NICO unit after a difficult birth. She told ELLE, 'I was so close to losing her so many times that she can get away with anything and I just want to see her happy. I want her to be the happiest. She's a super smiley, happy baby, and that's all my goal is—to see her joyous. Every time she smiles, it lights up my world, and that's all I want to do.' She then shared that her mother, grandmother, and aunts have been positive influences on her own perception of motherhood. 'I've had incredible influences of moms in my life, and now with my mother-in-law [Denise Miller-Jonas] who's this epic, amazing woman,' Chopra said. 'I've not been a mom long enough to be able to take the celebration, but I love to celebrate the moms in my life on Mother's Day.'

Why Disney and Universal are investing billions into their theme parks

The Walt Disney Company and Universal, two of the biggest names in theme parks, are both undertaking historic expansions to their experiences businesses. Universal Orlando Resort in May opened the gates to Epic Universe, its fourth theme park at its flagship resort. Epic cost an estimated $7 billion to build, according to numbers provided by the University of Central Florida. Brian Roberts, Chairman and CEO of Universal parent company Comcast, called it the "single-largest investment Comcast NBCUniversal has made in its theme park business". "It's so different than anything else that we've ever built, but certainly I think it's different than anything anyone's ever built," said Karen Irwin, Universal Orlando President and COO. Epic's opening coincides with an expansion of Universal Orlando's resort portfolio, adding three Loews hotels to bring its total to 11 operated on the property. Universal is betting that the addition of Epic will turn the resort into a full-week destination, a distinction that is normally reserved for its crosstown neighbor, Walt Disney World. Not to be upstaged, Disney is working on a historic undertaking of its own. In 2023, Disney announced plans to invest $60 billion in its experiences segment, which includes theme parks, cruise ships and consumer products. Of that investment, $30 billion will go to its domestic theme parks, Disney World and Disneyland. "We've got a lion's share of that investment coming to us," said Michael Hundgen, portfolio executive creative producer with Walt Disney Imagineering. "It's about finding what strikes the best creative intent in the most value oriented way possible." These investments come at a time when both Disney and Comcast are paring down or spinning off their linear TV segments, an arena that has seen volatility in recent years. By comparison, theme parks have been consistent revenue drivers for the companies in the post-COVID tourism bounce. However, the timing of these openings and expansions could prove challenging for both theme parks. Epic's opening summer coincides with fears of a travel slowdown due to economic volatility. "If you're uncertain how the economy is going to develop, then you're going to try to be more cautious in your spending," said Jorge Ridderstaat, associate professor at UCF's Rosen College of Hospitality Management.

Travis Barker ‘Played Peacemaker' Between Kourtney Kardashian and Alabama Amid Bhad Bhabie Drama

Kourtney Kardashian and husband Travis Barker's daughter Alabama Barker have gone through ups and downs of late, but a source exclusively tells In Touch that the Blink-182 drummer has brokered peace between the two. 'Kourtney and Alabama have really turned a corner. Things are in a much better place between them now than they were a month ago,' the insider says. 'Not to say Kourtney doesn't still have her hands full. Alabama's a very feisty free spirit. She's always going to stick up for herself. But thankfully, Travis stepped in to play peacemaker.' The source adds that Travis, 49, sat down with his wife, 46, and daughter, 19, and 'told them how much he loves them, and how important it is for them to support each other,' especially now that they have Kourtney and Travis' young son, Rocky, 19 months, to take care of. 'It was a turning point. Kourtney and Alabama had a real heart-to-heart and decided to move forward with a clean slate,' the source concludes. 'They're not besties overnight, but there's a lot more respect and effort on both sides now. They even had a girls' date recently and got their nails done together. Travis couldn't be happier. His girls finally getting along has taken a huge weight off his shoulders.' Alabama even made her appreciation for her stepmom publicly known on Mother's Day. The rapper took to her Instagram Stories on May 11 with a sweet shoutout to Kourtney. 'Happy Mother's Day to someone who chose to love me like her own,' Alabama wrote. 'You stepped into my life with patience, care, and an open heart, and I'm so grateful for everything you've done to support and guide me. Your presence has brought comfort, strength, and so much love, and I truly appreciate the role you've played in my life. Thank you for showing up, for listening, and for being someone I can count on. You mean more to me than you know.' Travis shares Alabama and son Landon, 21, with ex Shanna Moakler. He is also a stepfather to Shanna's daughter Atiana De La Hoya, 26. Meanwhile, Kourtney shares son Mason, 15, daughter Penelope, 12, and son Reign, 10, with ex Scott Disick. She and Travis welcomed Rocky in November 2023. The blended family recently faced some drama when Alabama entered a feud with former friend Danielle Bregoli, a.k.a. Bhad Bhabie and the 'Cash Me Outside' Girl. In late 2024, Bhabie, 22, accused Alabama of trying to steal her boyfriend and the father of her child, Le Vaughn, while the pair was on a break. Though Alabama admitted to 'spending time' with the rapper, she denied knowing that he was Bhabie's boyfriend at the time. The female musicians' beef turned into a rap battle with one song, 'Cry Bhabie,' from Alabama and three tracks, 'Over Cooked,' 'Ms. Whitman' and 'OG Crashout,' from Bhabie. The 'Hi Bich' singer dragged Kourtney and her family into the drama on 'Ms. Whitman' in February when she twerked on a Travis lookalike in the music video and rapped about Alabama allegedly getting 'kicked out of the Kardashian house.' She even included a line that was seemingly about Kourtney, rapping, 'Your stepmom burnt out.' Later, both Reign and Rocky were brought into the mix. Reign, who typically stays off social media, appeared on an Instagram Live with Alabama's boyfriend, Scooter Jackson, to deny rumors that Justin Bieber was his father. Meanwhile, Bhabie's mom, Barbara, slammed Alabama as a 'little dirty ass hoe' that was 'still talking about my granddaughter yet her daddy has a whole new family. Rocky rules while you're just on your knees,' she wrote in a social media post. While the feud has seemingly since fizzled out, a source exclusively told In Touch in early May that it was 'a huge source of stress' for Kourtney and Travis. 'They're both upset and worried about Alabama and now on top of that, Kourtney's hit the roof because Rocky and Reign have both gotten dragged into the negativity,' the insider added. The source continued, 'Rocky's a baby and he's already getting trash talked in public thanks to Alabama having this toxic feud. And now thanks to Alabama's boyfriend, Reign has had to answer questions from random strangers on the internet about whether Justin Bieber is his dad. It's absolutely horrifying.'
