IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ingram Micro Holding Corporation (NYSE: INGM) ('Ingram Micro' or the 'Company') today reported fiscal first quarter results for the period ended March 29, 2025. The Company reported fiscal first quarter net sales of approximately $12.3 billion, net income on a GAAP basis of $69.2 million or $0.29 per share, and non-GAAP net income of $144.2 million or $0.61 per share. Consolidated Fiscal First Quarter 2025 Financial Highlights
Net sales totaled $12.3 billion, compared to $11.3 billion in the prior fiscal first quarter, representing an increase of 8.3%. The year-over-year increase includes net sales growth in our North America, Asia-Pacific and EMEA regions. The translation impact of foreign currencies relative to the U.S. dollar had an approximate 2.4% negative impact on the year-over-year net sales comparison.
Gross profit was $828.8 million, compared to $834.9 million in the prior fiscal first quarter.
Gross margin was 6.75%, compared to 7.37% in the prior fiscal first quarter. The year-over-year decrease in gross margin was driven by a shift in sales mix towards our lower-margin client and endpoint solutions offerings, a shift in customer mix more towards large enterprise customers which typically yield lower gross margins, and a shift in geographic mix towards our lower-margin, lower cost-to-serve Asia-Pacific region.
Income from operations was $200.9 million, compared to $170.1 million in the prior fiscal first quarter. Adjusted income from operations was $229.3 million, compared to $222.5 million in the prior fiscal first quarter. The growth in income is reflective of the same mix factors noted above as our net sales were more concentrated in lower cost-to-serve business, coupled with the efficiencies garnered from prior cost reductions and automation.
Income from operations margin was 1.64%, compared to 1.50% in the prior fiscal first quarter. Adjusted income from operations margin was 1.87% compared to 1.96% in the prior fiscal first quarter. The year-over-year comparisons are reflective of a lower gross margin profile largely offset by improved operating expense leverage.
Adjusted EBITDA was $290.8 million, compared to $290.4 million in the prior fiscal first quarter.
Diluted EPS was $0.29, compared to $0.22 in the prior fiscal first quarter. Non-GAAP diluted EPS was $0.61, compared to $0.61 in the prior fiscal first quarter.
Cash used in operations was $200.4 million, compared to $100.3 million used in operations in the prior fiscal first quarter, and adjusted free cash flow was $(159.1) million, compared to $(66.8) million in the prior fiscal first quarter, including some strategic investment in inventory ahead of potential cost increases driven by macro-economic factors.
Regional Fiscal First Quarter 2025 Financial Highlights
North America
Net sales were $4.4 billion, compared to $4.0 billion in the prior fiscal first quarter, an increase of 9.8% compared to the prior fiscal first quarter. The year-over-year increase in North American net sales was driven by an increase in net sales of client and endpoint solutions, led by strength in PCs and tablets, as well as growth in advanced solutions, primarily server, infrastructure software and cyber security, with a heavier concentration of these sales into large corporate and enterprise customers. Additionally, growth in both cloud-based solutions and Other services contributed to the year-over-year increase in net sales.
Income from operations was $84.4 million, compared to $59.9 million in the prior fiscal first quarter.
Income from operations margin was 1.90%, compared to 1.48% in the prior fiscal first quarter. The year-over-year increase in income from operations margin was primarily due to a reduction in selling, general and administrative ('SG&A') expenses as a percentage of net sales in the region driven by mix of business and the outcome of prior cost reduction initiatives.
EMEA
Net sales were $3.4 billion, an increase of 0.6% compared to the prior fiscal first quarter. The year-over-year increase in EMEA net sales was primarily a result of growth in PCs, components and storage, as well as strong growth in cloud, partially offset by declines in peripherals and networking. The translation impact of foreign currencies relative to the U.S. dollar had an approximate 2% negative impact on the year-over-year net sales comparison.
Income from operations was $57.3 million, compared to $49.0 million in the prior fiscal first quarter.
Income from operations margin was 1.67%, compared to 1.44% in the prior fiscal first quarter. The year-over-year increase in income from operations margin was primarily due to a reduction in restructuring costs and improved operating leverage, which was partially offset by a mix shift towards our lower-margin client and endpoint solutions.
Asia-Pacific
Net sales were $3.6 billion, compared to $3.0 billion in the prior fiscal first quarter. The 20.1% increase in Asia-Pacific net sales was driven by net sales of client and endpoint solutions, led by growth in smartphones and tablets, as well as growth in advanced solutions, primarily in networking. Cloud-based solutions also grew double digits in the region. The translation impact of foreign currencies relative to the U.S. dollar had an approximate 3% negative impact on the year-over-year net sales comparison.
Income from operations was $46.3 million, compared to $50.6 million in the prior fiscal first quarter.
Income from operations margin was 1.28%, compared to 1.68% in the prior fiscal first quarter. The year-over-year decrease in income from operations margin was primarily the result of shift in geographic mix towards our lower-margin, lower-cost-to-serve China market, a heavier concentration of mobility sales, and a heightened competitive market in India.
Latin America
Net sales were $0.8 billion, compared to $0.9 billion in the prior fiscal first quarter. The 8.5% decrease in Latin American net sales was primarily driven by currency translation rates, which had a negative impact of 8.2% on the year-over-year comparison of net sales.
Income from operations was $23.0 million, compared to $24.5 million in the prior fiscal first quarter.
Income from operations margin was 2.86%, compared to 2.78% in the prior fiscal first quarter. The year-over-year increase in income from operations margin was a result of higher gross margin achievement on net sales of both advanced solutions and cloud-based solutions, partially offset by an increase in compensation and headcount expenses. The translation impact of foreign currencies relative to the U.S. dollar also had a negative impact of 17 basis points on the year-over-year comparison of the region's operating margin.
Fiscal Second Quarter 2025 Outlook

Dividend Increase and Payment
The Company's board of directors has declared a cash dividend of $0.076 per share of the Company's common stock, representing a 2.7% increase from the prior quarterly dividend of $0.074 per share. The dividend is payable on June 3, 2025, to stockholders of record as of May 20, 2025.

SCHEDULE A: RECONCILIATION OF NON-GAAP FINANCIAL MEASURES (unaudited)
In addition to its reported results calculated in accordance with U.S. GAAP, the Company has included in this release adjusted income from operations, adjusted EBITDA, return on invested capital ('ROIC'), adjusted ROIC, non-GAAP net income, adjusted free cash flow, and non-GAAP EPS, which are defined as follows:
Adjusted Income from Operations means income from operations plus (i) amortization of intangibles, (ii) restructuring costs incurred primarily related to employee termination benefits in connection with actions to align our cost structure in certain markets, (iii) integration and transition costs and (iv) the advisory fees paid to Platinum Equity Advisors, LLC ('Platinum Advisors'), an entity affiliated with Platinum, under a corporate advisory services agreement (which has been terminated as a result of our initial public offering ('IPO')) (such terminated agreement, the 'CASA').
We define adjusted EBITDA as EBITDA (calculated as net income before net interest expense, income taxes, depreciation and amortization expenses) adjusted to give effect to (i) restructuring costs incurred primarily related to employee termination benefits in connection with actions to align our cost structure in certain markets, (ii) net realized and unrealized foreign currency exchange gains and losses including net gains and losses on derivative instruments not receiving hedge accounting treatment, (iii) costs of integration, transition, and operational improvement initiatives, as well as consulting, retention and transition costs associated with our organizational effectiveness programs charged to selling, general and administrative expenses, (iv) the advisory fees paid to Platinum Advisors under the CASA, (v) cash-based compensation expense associated with our cash-based long-term incentive program for certain employees in lieu of equity-based compensation prior to the IPO, (vi) stock-based compensation expense for restricted stock units issued in connection with our IPO, and (vii) certain other items as defined in our credit agreements.
ROIC is defined as net income divided by the invested capital for the period. Invested capital is equal to stockholders' equity plus long-term debt plus short-term debt and the current maturities of long-term debt less cash and cash equivalents at the end of each period.
Adjusted ROIC is defined as adjusted net income divided by the invested capital for the period. Adjusted net income for a particular period is defined as net income plus (i) other income/expense, (ii) amortization of intangibles, (iii) restructuring costs incurred primarily related to employee termination benefits in connection with actions to align our cost structure in certain markets, (iv) integration and transition costs, (v) the advisory fees paid to Platinum Advisors under the CASA, plus (vi) the GAAP tax provisions for and/or valuation allowances on items (i), (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) plus (vii) the GAAP tax provisions for and/or valuation allowances on large non-recurring or discrete items.

Pfizer has been a big name in healthcare for decades, and I don't think that's likely to change anytime soon. One dividend stock I think all income investors should consider owning is Realty Income. This is a real estate investment trust (REIT) that not only offers a high yield of 5.8%, but it also pays a dividend every month. There's no need to wait around for multiple months, as is the case with other dividend stocks; with Realty Income, you're getting a much more regular stream of cash flow. The REIT has a diverse mix of tenants, which makes it an ideal option for long-term investors. It's diversified across industries and geographies, with more than 1,500 clients across 91 industries. The dividend remains well supported -- the REIT reported funds from operations (FFO) per share of $1.05 during the first three months of the year (versus $0.94 a year ago). That averages out to $0.35 per share per month, which is higher than the rate of its monthly dividend of $0.2685. REITs use FFO to assess how much they can afford to pay in dividends, and with Realty Income's financials looking solid, there aren't any significant risks with its payout. Share prices of Realty Income are up 5% this year, and this can be a great income-generating investment to add to your portfolio for the long haul. Rounding out this list of high-yielding dividend stocks is Canada-based Bank of Nova Scotia, also known as Scotiabank. At around 6%, that's a high payout for a top bank stock that is known for long-term stability. It declared its first dividend back in 1833 and has continued making regular payments since then. The bank increased its provision for credit losses in its most recent quarter, in a sign of growing concern about macroeconomic conditions. Scotiabank's net income totaled over $2 billion Canadian dollars for the period ending April 30, which was nearly identical to its bottom line in the prior-year period. There are concerns about how the Canadian economy may perform in the near future due to tariffs, but in the grand scheme of things, that may prove to be a short-term concern for investors who are willing to hang on for years. Scotiabank's impressive track record and resilience over the years should inspire some confidence in the business. The bank stock has increased its dividend by more than 22% in four years and can be an excellent option to hang on to for the long term. Not only can you collect a high yield today, but the dividend income you get from this investment can rise over the years. Millennium M2000 Steals The Show At Cadence Live 2025

After last year's Cadence Live event, it was going to be hard to match the energy and star power of CEO guests like Nvidia's Jensen Huang and Qualcomm's Cristiano Amon. This year, Cadence brought back Huang, but instead of Amon, Cadence had Intel's Lip-Bu Tan. It was a homecoming for Tan, who helped turn around Cadence as its CEO for over a decade. He is now CEO of Intel and trying to turn around that company; he also recently had Cadence on stage at the Intel Foundry Direct Connect event to talk about their partnership. (Note: Cadence is an advisory client of my firm, Moor Insights & Strategy.) At the event, Cadence announced a slew of new products from across the range of the company's offerings. As Cadence and many other tech companies embrace a system-level approach to solving some of the world's most complex design problems, we've seen a shift towards more integrated solutions. This is certainly true for Cadence, whether that solution is a software product, an IP design or a hardware platform. When I spoke with Cadence's CEO Anirudh Devgan, it was clear that the company wants to expand its IP capabilities and enhance its engagement with customers on building out its portfolio. In line with this approach, Cadence announced its new Tensilica NeuroEdge 130 AI Co-Processor, which is specifically targeted at agentic AI applications. This processor is designed to complement the NPU by allowing it to offload some simpler tasks. Cadence says the co-processor provides a 30% area savings and 20% reduction in power compared to Tensilica's Vision DSPs. The new co-processor can work with any NPU, whether it's based on Cadence's Neo NPU IP or comes from a third party. In addition to the new IP, Cadence announced the new Millennium M2000 Supercomputer with Nvidia Blackwell GPUs. This built on last year's launch of the Millennium M1, which combined Cadence's Enterprise Multiphysics platform with advanced computational fluid dynamics capabilities, accelerated by both CPUs and GPUs. On stage at Cadence Live, Huang talked about how excited he was for the Millennium M2000, so much so that he publicly proclaimed a purchase order for ten M2000s right then. I also learned from the Cadence and Nvidia teams that the M2000 will come in two flavors, one with HGX B200 clusters and one that uses RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell GPUs. The difference is that the RTX Pro is more of a blend of visualization and computation, while the HGX B200 is purely for computation. This means that each customer can buy the right M2000 based on its specific use case and whether visualization is key to its needs. The impressive thing about the M2000 is that it helps to address the three core areas of Cadence's business: silicon design, system design and drug discovery. Cadence claims that a single M2000 replaces 10,000 CPUs for silicon design, 80,000 CPUs for airframe simulations and 150,000 CPUs for molecular discovery. Cadence customer MediaTek even said that the M2000 enabled previously impossible simulations for dynamic IR, while customer Supermicro said the M2000 delivered 8x faster thermal simulations for its server designs. The use case that really stuck with me was aerospace, specifically the idea that a single M2000 can simulate a multibillion-cell airframe in under 24 hours — something that would normally take a Top 500 supercomputer eight days. The Milennium M2000 is enabling aerospace startups like Boom Aero to take complex CFD simulations from one week down to two days. Many startups in the defense and aerospace industry cannot afford to build massive supercomputers to compete with prime contractors such as General Atomics, Northrop Grumman or Lockheed Martin. They must be agile, yet also still have access to the simulations necessary to test their ideas and iterate quickly. I believe that having access to a solution like the M2000 could give smaller American aerospace and defense companies an opportunity to compete without needing to stand up entire datacenters. During his keynote, Devgan spoke about AI more times than I could count. He recapped the company's various AI platforms, which include JedAI with its various agentic AIs. But what I really liked was his visual representation of how a silicon agent might utilize creation and execution agents that in turn control other subsystem agents to deliver different levels of automation. Cadence has created an autonomous system-level ranking — much like the car industry has for autonomous driving, but instead of driving a car, it's building a chip. He spoke about how Cadence expects that AI-driven chip design will likely reach an inflection point this year, with the majority of advanced chips being designed using AI-enabled tools. He also talked about how agentic AI will increase the number of chip designs and further shorten time-to-market. In addition to its broader AI approach, Cadence also announced the Cerebrus AI Studio, which is one of the agentic AIs specifically targeted at helping implement digital designs. Cerebrus AI Studio uses agentic AI to improve PPA optimization, improving power consumption by 10%, density by 1% and timing by 30%. Samsung used this to achieve a 4x improvement in productivity for one project and an 11% improvement to PPA in AI subsystems. STMicroelectronics also optimized multiple SoCs in one platform. This is an area where Cadence has had room for improvement compared to Synopsys, so I'm glad to see the company forging ahead to improve this part of its overall offerings. I believe that Cadence is doing a good job of continuing to expand its capabilities and evolve into a systems solution company, attacking both bigger and smaller problems at the same time. I get really excited about the possibilities of something like the Millennium M2000 supercomputer, especially when I think about its potential applications in science, aerospace and computing. Cadence's levels of AI-automated chip design Anshel Sag That said, Cadence is also still very much an EDA tools provider, and it's good to see the company leaning into that with more AI-enabled tools and a more complete agentic approach to chip design. To be most successful, the company must continue to balance its expansion into solving ultra-difficult scientific and engineering challenges using its supercomputers with maintaining its stronghold in EDA for chip makers. Cadence continues to be one of the most important companies in the world for enabling chip design; based on its latest announcements, that shows no signs of slowing.

How singles are using AI to improve their online dating success

Singles are increasingly turning to AI to boost their odds in the dating world. According to a new study, just over a quarter (26%) of singles are using artificial intelligence to enhance their dating lives. That's a 333% increase from 2024. Match and the Kinsey Institute surveyed around 5,000 U.S. singles between the ages of 18 and 98 for their 14th annual Singles in America study. The findings show that nearly half of Gen Z singles have already used AI in their dating lives, whether to shape their profiles, craft conversation starters, or screen for compatibility. So if you've been active on dating apps recently, there's a good chance you weren't flirting with just a person. You were flirting with AI—or at least with someone getting a little help from it. AI's role in modern dating is only growing. Looking ahead, nearly half (44%) of all singles say they want AI to help filter potential matches, and 40% want help optimizing their profiles. Even Gen X, the group least likely to use AI for dating (only 15%), is showing a rising interest in AI-powered matchmaking. 'AI isn't replacing intimacy, it's giving singles an edge,' said Dr. Amanda Gesselman, psychologist at Kinsey and Match's director of sex and relationship science, in the press release. 'For a generation overwhelmed by options, tools that bring clarity and efficiency are more than welcome.' That sense of overwhelm is widespread. Nearly half of singles (47%) report feeling dating burnout, while 54% say the modern dating landscape leaves them emotionally drained. AI is stepping in as a potential wingman, with apps like Tinder, Hinge, and Bumble already introducing AI features designed to improve the dating experience. Hinge recently launched an AI-powered coaching tool to help users refine their prompt responses. No more 'pineapple belongs on pizza' as your most controversial opinion, please. For a limited time, Tinder even let users test out pick-up lines on an AI chatbot before using them in real conversations, through a feature called The Game Game, developed in collaboration with OpenAI. If all this has you ready to delete the apps and swear off dating altogether, you're not alone. The study found that 46% of singles have taken intentional breaks from dating, and two-thirds of them said those breaks helped them clarify what they truly want. Still, it's not all bad news. With or without AI, hope remains high. Seven in 10 respondents said they believe in destiny when it comes to relationships, and 73% of singles still believe in forever love. So don't give up just yet.
