This Black Honey shade is, in fact, so iconic that its lore reached Lord of the Rings — Arwen famously wore this lip tint as part of her ~ethereal~ elven look.
In an interview with Polygon, the trilogy's hair and makeup designer Peter Swords King shared that he chose the lip tint for Arwen's iconic look because it had 'dark undertones, but at the same time it was sheer so [it] would look like the color of her lips rather than lipstick.'
