Hilary Swank's ‘Yellowjackets' fate revealed for Season 4
'Yellowjackets' has been confirmed for Season 4 on Showtime, and along with new episodes of the thriller, viewers can expect to see Hilary Swank back on their screens.
'She better be,' Sammi Hanratty, who plays Misty on the series, exclusively told The Post at the 2025 Astra Awards. 'I'm like, I'm pretty sure she signed on for more so we've got to see you!'

Swank, 50, plays adult Melissa, who faked her own death and took on a new identity after the wilderness plane crash.
But one thing Hanratty, 29, can't share is any spoilers for the upcoming episodes.
'I'm sure people will die,' she teased. 'I'm sure we're going to eat some people but that's all I've got for you.'

The show has a star-studded lineup as is, including Melanie Lynskey, Christina Ricci, Simone Kessell, Lauren Ambrose and Tawny Cypress, all of whom Hanratty looks up to on set.
'It's been amazing. I think the best thing about the show is that it really does feel like a team,' the 'Shameless' alum gushed. 'And sometimes I feel like I really am the equipment manager just rooting everybody on. Just honestly, everyone is so talented. I feel like a sponge walking onto set to absorb everyone's amazingness and learning so much. I just wish I could work with the current day cast more, if ever. I never get to. I wish I could.'
And in this cast, there's always room for one more powerhouse woman.

'I would love to have Angela Bassett on the show,' she quipped.
In December, Hanratty welcomed her first baby with husband Christian DeAnda, a son named Levi. Now, she has a village to lean on while balancing life as a working mom.
'Honestly, with Melanie, Christina, Tawny, Lauren and Simone — they are all moms,' explained Hanratty. 'And that's a big thing for me — is that I'm a new mom and just getting to see them walk the walk. It's just inspiring to see working moms kill it and do amazing work. I think more than anything just watching them do what they do.'

The star filmed while pregnant with her son, which posed both enjoyable moments and challenging ones.
'It was crazy. I found out right before we went back [for Season 3], which kind of was my plan. I didn't think I was actually going to get pregnant that quickly but the plan was to get pregnant during the season,' Hanratty told Us Weekly in February. 'It was so hard. I was throwing up the whole beginning half of the show. I felt so bad.'
'Running while being pregnant is not the easiest, [too],' she said.

'Especially on uneven ground while in my Misty gear on. But my baby's right next to me right now and he is literally perfect. I'm really proud of myself for getting through this season and I'm really proud of the season,' she went on. 'I kept telling [the director], 'Please don't take away any good work from me. I can do it.''
'I will say that watching the episodes back, there was a scene that I was watching and I was like, 'I don't remember filming this.' And I was actually in the emergency room the entire time that it was being filmed,' Hanratty reflected. 'We had my body double being me and they never panned to my face in the whole sequence because I wasn't there. So my body double was incredible and really, really stepped up and helped me so much this season. I'm incredibly grateful to her.'
Earlier this month, Hanratty, Ricci, 45, who plays the older version of Misty, and Lynskey, 48, took home the award for best ensemble cast at the Newport Beach TV FEST.

'Lovely time with these two gems at the Newport Beach TV FEST!' Hanratty captioned her Instagram post of the trio. 'So honored to be in such an incredible ensemble cast. Grateful for our award for our ensemble🙏🥰.'
While talking to Entertainment Tonight at the festival, Ricci said, 'We do have such a huge cast and everyone in our cast tries so hard. We're all so committed and we want the show to be so great.'
Hanratty added, 'It feels like two different shows a lot of the time so it's really like an ensemble of of two separate shows as well which is extra epic.'

Audra McDonald claims fan followed her home, demanded autograph after ‘Gypsy' performance: ‘Big no-no'
Some people. Audra McDonald, 55, has revealed that a fan allegedly followed her home from the Majestic Theatre and demanded an autograph after one of her last 'Gypsy' performances. 7 Audra McDonald during the opening night curtain call for the new revival of the musical 'Gypsy' on Broadway at the Majestic Theatre in New York City on December 19, 2024. WireImage 7 Audra McDonald in an Instagram video shared on Saturday, Aug. 16. Audra McDonald/Instagram The singer and actress, who took her final bow in the hit Broadway play Sunday night, detailed the startling encounter in a lengthy Instagram video one day before her last show. McDonald said that the determined theatergoer 'snuck around and found' where she exited the venue and trailed her 'all the way' to where she was staying. She added that the fan 'came into the building, and was uncomfortably close' and 'when I finally got some security to help me, their response was, 'Hey, I've come all the way,' and named some town, some city that they came all the way from.' 7 Audra McDonald in an Instagram video shared on Saturday, Aug. 16. audramcdonald/Instagram 'That is crossing a big ol' boundary. And just want to call that out,' McDonald said. 'That's a big no-no. That's now messing with my safety. And it's not right.' McDonald used the scary encounter to share a lesson about theater etiquette and to clarify that while some Broadway actors greet fans outside after a performance, others do not. 'There are a lot of reasons that performers don't do the stage door,' the Tony winner explained. 'There have been shows that I've done it and shows where I haven't done it.' 7 Audra McDonald in an Instagram video shared on Saturday, Aug. 16. Audra McDonald/Instagram 'When you see an actor leave the stage door, if they don't stop, leave them alone,' she added. 'There is a reason that they're not stopping, and it has nothing to do with you.' Meanwhile, McDonald returned to Instagram on Monday to 'say goodbye' to Mama Rose, whom she portrayed in 'Gypsy' for an outstanding 28 previews and 261 regular performances. 'I don't even have the words to express how much I love them all.' 'My head is full of gorgeous memories, my body is tired, and my heart is full of nothing but gratitude and love,' she concluded. Before McDonald's final 'Gypsy' performance, and before her startling encounter with a fan, the 'Beauty and the Beast' star was targeted by fellow Broadway stalwart Patti LuPone. 7 Audra McDonald performs a number from 'Gypsy' at the 78th Annual Tony Awards in New York City on June 8, 2025. REUTERS Lupone, 76, had bashed both McDonald and Kecia Lewis in a scathing sit-down with The New Yorker in May. After the 'Agatha All Along' actress said that McDonald was 'not a friend,' she called Lewis, 59, a 'bitch' who 'doesn't know what the f–k she's talking about.' McDonald addressed LuPone's vicious remarks during an interview with Gayle King on 'CBS Mornings,' and she said that she was 'surprised' by her colleague's comments. 7 Audra McDonald performs 'Rose's Turn' from 'Gypsy' during the 78th Tony Awards at Radio City Music Hall in New York City on June 8, 2025. Charles Sykes/Invision/AP 'I mean, if there's a rift between us, I don't know what it is,' McDonald said at the time. 'That's something you'd have to ask Patti about.' 'I haven't seen her in about 11 years because I've been busy with life and stuff,' she added. 'So, I don't know what rift she's talking about. You'd have to ask her.' More than 500 Broadway artists then signed an open letter condemning LuPone over her comments against McDonald and Lewis.

Frances Tiafoe, Madison Keys among star-studded pairings in new-look US Open mixed doubles event
When it came to finding a partner for the newly formatted mixed doubles event at this year's U.S. Open, it seemed like a no-brainer for World No. 6-ranked Madison Keys. The reigning Australian Open champion is partnered with Frances Tiafoe, with whom Keys shares an almost sibling-like relationship. 'It was pretty easy. When they announced the new format and all of the things, he was kind of the first person that popped into my head,' Keys told The Post. 'I've known him for many, many years. We lived in the same apartment building for a very long time, and I feel like I basically had to try to keep him alive. I just really enjoy being around him. I really like giving him s–t and just kind of poking fun at him. And I feel like he's also obviously a phenomenal tennis player. 'It just felt like if I was going to do this, I wanted to do it with someone who I was going to just have the most fun with.' 3 Frances Tiafoe reacts during an Aug. 13 match. Getty Images 3 Madison Keys is pictured during an Aug. 13 match. Imagn Images Keys and Tiafoe are among the 16 pairings taking part in this year's event, which has gone through a drastic shake-up that has been met with intrigue and criticism. The tournament begins Tuesday with a field that was shrunk from 32 to 16 and includes some of tennis' top players in the world, including 10 major singles champions and a combined 54 Grand Slam titles among them. Carlos Alcaraz is playing with Emma Raducanu; Venus Williams will play with Reilly Opelka; and Jessica Pegula is teaming up with Jack Draper, to name a few. Jannik Sinner is slated to play with Katerina Siniakova, but after Sinner retired from the Cincinnati Open final on Monday due to illness, there is some question whether he'll still compete in the mixed doubles in Queens. The mixed doubles will take place over a two-day period — the first two rounds will be held Tuesday, followed by the semifinals and final Wednesday — all at Arthur Ashe and Louis Armstrong stadium, with the winning pair taking home a $1 million shared prize. Teams will only need to win four games in order to win a set, and there will be no advantage scoring. 3 Frances Tiafoe and Madison Keys are pictured after a December 2022 doubles match. AP In the final, it will remain a best-of-three-set match, but the team will need to win six games to clinch the set. The new format hasn't come without its critics, in particular, those deemed doubles specialists, who are missing out on getting to play in the revamped tournament. Sem Verbeek, the Wimbledon mixed doubles champion, told BBC that his 'heart is bleeding' over the format change for the U.S. Open event. While the superstar pairings will draw more attention, it leaves a lot of doubles specialists missing out on competing. 'I'm not going to actively root against it for it not to be a success,' he said. 'The positive I can think of is that there's going to be more people that can see the top single stars earlier in the tournament when they are maybe a bit more accessible to the public. But as a doubles athlete, my heart is bleeding.'

Although Stone did not share any additional details about her and Nelly's romantic rendezvous, her fans rushed to social media to express their surprise about the stunning revelation. 'Ahh! 'When I reconsidered what value things had to me in life, I really wanted to have children and spend my time with them,' Stone told Today during an interview published Monday. 'And I only really worked as much as I needed to to support my family,' she added. 'But now my children have left the nest, and now I'm back to work.' As for Nelly, he married his longtime on-again, off-again girlfriend, Ashanti, in December 2023. The couple later welcomed a baby son, Kareem, on July 18, 2024.
