Royal Canadian Snowbirds to headline 2025 Westmoreland International Airshow
The Royal Canadian Air Force Snowbirds will be the headline performers at the 2025 Westmoreland International Airshow later this year, it was announced Wednesday by the Westmoreland County Airport Authority.
The event will be held on June 21-22, 2025, at Arnold Palmer Regional Airport.
The Snowbirds last flew at the Westmoreland County show in 2019. They will again be flying nine CT-114 Tutor jet aircraft, according to a news release from the Westmoreland County Airport Authority.
"It was unexpected but certainly very welcome," said Westmoreland County Airport Authority Executive Director Gabe Monzo. "We are ramping up our planning and looking forward to a wonderful event."
The two-day show will feature static aircraft displays, several vendors, and other attractions.
Monzo said this year's show marks the 100th anniversary of airshows held at the airport.
All performances are pending government approval.

Fact Check: Ye appeared to ask Elon Musk and Donald Trump to settle their social media feud
Claim: On June 5, 2025, rapper Ye, formerly Kanye West, made a post on X that appeared to call for the end of an internet feud between U.S. President Donald Trump and tech billionaire Elon Musk. Rating: On May 28, 2025, tech billionaire Elon Musk announced that he would be leaving his post at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) initiative that U.S. President Donald Trump created and that the two had championed. In the following days, the relationship between the Musk and Trump deteriorated. On June 5, Musk posted to his social media site X alleging that Trump was named in the Epstein Files, a series of documents related to the activities of disgraced financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who died in his jail cell while awaiting a new trial in 2019. As Musk and Trump clashed publicly on social media, posts appeared claiming that rapper Ye (formerly Kanye West) posted to X calling for the two to reconcile. The claim was shared by podcast host and former Obama speechwriter Jon Favreau (who is not related to the film director of the same name), for instance. The post attributed to West was real. Although it's impossible to definitively say without direct confirmation from West, it's almost certain that he was referring to the two billionaires' feud. West has publicly supported Trump since at least 2018, when he appeared at the White House in a "Make America Great Again" hat. Additionally, on April 27, 2025, he called himself, Trump and Musk "immortals" in a post on X. That post has since been deleted, but it was mentioned in a Parade article and is on a website archiving the rapper's posts. According to timestamps of the posts on X, Musk shared the Epstein Files claim at 2:10 p.m. CT.
