THIS is the terrifying moment an Edinburgh fairground ride spun out of control with children inside.
Kevin McNulty said his children were "very lucky" to still be walking after the 'unthinkable' happened while they were on the Waltzers at Galactic Carnival Festival in Wester Hailes, on Saturday night.

The ride at Galactic Carnival Festival in Wester Hailes, Edinburgh, remained closed for investigation, while the rest of the fair remained open for business
The dad was in the car behind his three kids - aged 13, 12, and 7 - when it 'came completely off' and went 'flying' into the waltzer he was in.
The whole ordeal - which happened around 7pm - was filmed by one of his children, who are all heard screaming in terror.
Kevin said that the car 'smashed about before coming off the track', and described the ordeal as 'something you see in the movies'.
In a Facebook post, dad Kevin said: "Last night we were at these shows at Westerhailes Plaza, my three kids were on the Waltzers with myself and Brooke in car behind.

"Then the unthinkable happened. Going FULL PELT (not slowing down) their car came completely off and then went flying into our car.
" It then smashed about the place crashing into the side off the track, thankfully there was a heavy large speaker that they collided with or they would have been through the whole thing and then the ending would have been a completely different story ( a thought I can't stop thinking about).
"The shows continued to go (not the Waltzers) but place should have been shut down for a full inspection.
"It was like something you see in the movies and my kids are very very lucky that they managed to get out of this still walking."
A source at the carnival last night said the ride was closed due to an 'incident' on Saturday night.
They added: 'It was very lucky that no one was seriously hurt. The waltzer car came loose and it flew off the ride.
'Thankfully it hit the speaker and the crash barrier otherwise who knows what would have happened. The young girls were very shaken up by it.

'It has now been closed as it will need to be investigated.

A poll of 2,000 adults found 39 per cent are determined to say 'yes' more often while 69 per cent admit they 'play it safe' in life. While the average adult typically turns something down as often as twice a week, it has been revealed that 27 is the age when someone is most likely to say yes to new opportunities. Of those who felt the opposite, being settled into a routine (41 per cent) was considered the biggest barrier, while others blamed life being more complicated now (35 per cent), being too tired (33 per cent) and wanting to plan things in advance (33 per cent). I tried new things and made new memories.
