It is a fitting location: Flack grew up with church gospel; her mother played organ at the Lomax African Methodist Episcopal Church in Arlington, Virginia. As a teen, she began accompanying the church choir on piano.

How to watch last 20 minutes of Taylor Swift on New Heights after glitch
Wednesday night's New Heights episode with Taylor Swift went almost perfectly. Jason Kelce was a phenomenal host, and it was clear why Swift wanted to do her first interview in ages with Jason and her boyfriend Travis Kelce. The trio covered a litany of topics, ranging from Travis and Taylor's relationship to football to sourdough bread to her family. They, of course, discussed Swift's new album at length as the 14-time Grammy winner announced the title (The Life Of A Showgirl), release date (October 3) and cover art on the podcast. Although things seemed to be wrapping up at the hour and 44 minute mark, the stream abruptly cut off without a real sign-off. It was quickly discovered that there was a technical issue of some sort, with about 20 minutes of the episode unseen. The New Heights folks -- shoutout to producers Brandon and Jake -- immediately got to work trying to fix the issue while not having people lose their place in the episode (or lose the views to that point). It has to be said that the ability of YouTube and their servers to host a million viewers with no initial delays or crashes. The late-episode drop-off was inconvenient, but at least we had been gifted nearly two hours of in-depth Taylor discussion at that point. If you haven't yet seen the last 20 minutes, the link to pick up where the glitch occurred is now available. Overall, a well-done endeavor by everyone involved.
