Misr Italia Properties Achieves EGP 4bn in Sales for January 2025
Misr Italia Properties recorded EGP 4bn in sales in January 2025, marking an impressive 200% growth compared to the same period last year. This strong performance is seen as a key step toward meeting the company's first-quarter targets, with expectations to surpass the results of 2024.
Mohamed Khaled El-Assal, CEO and Managing Director of Misr Italia Properties, emphasized that this growth was fueled by the launch of new project phases and expanded investment opportunities. 'Our diverse portfolio in prime locations, including East Cairo, the North Coast, and Ain Sokhna, strengthens our market position and contributes to this success,' he said.
Looking ahead, El-Assal announced plans to invest EGP 11bn in 2025 as part of the company's ongoing expansion strategy. The investment will support a range of initiatives, including the opening of 23 international retail outlets. These will feature popular brands like 'Pier 88' and 'Brunch & Cake' in the restaurant and hospitality sectors, as well as 'LA7' in wellness and fitness. These outlets will be located within the 'Cairo Business Park,' East Cairo's vibrant hub for entrepreneurship, innovation, arts, and culture.
Additionally, Misr Italia Properties has launched the final phase of its Cairo Business Park project, which includes 40 new office spaces spread across the 4th floor of three buildings. These flexible office units, ranging from 55 to over 300 square meters, are designed to meet the growing demand for administrative spaces in East Cairo. With delivery scheduled for 2027, the new offices aim to attract both local and international companies to this dynamic business ecosystem.

Luxor Governor Receives US Senator Tim Sheehy to Discuss Strengthening Cooperation
Taarek Refaat Abdel Motaleb Amara, Governor of Luxor received Senator Tim Sheehy, a member of the US Congress, as part of his visit to Egypt and the accompanying high-level delegation. The meeting witnessed an open dialogue between the two sides, addressing ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries. The Senator began his speech by expressing his happiness at being in Luxor for the second time after 22 years. He expressed his admiration for the positive changes taking place in the city and his amazement at ancient Egyptian civilization, emphasizing that Egypt is a country with a rich civilization dating back thousands of years. Sheehy added that Egypt is an important and ally in the Middle East region, and that it has a promising economic future over the next five years. He expressed his hope for strengthening American partnerships in Egypt and praised the country's ongoing comprehensive development efforts, particularly in infrastructure modernization and the renewable energy sector. On his part, the Governor of Luxor welcomed the US Senator and explained the governorate's economy, which is based on the cultural tourism sector, followed by agriculture and industry. He emphasized that tourist bookings have increased this year compared to last year, and that the booking rate for the upcoming tourist season is very promising and exceeds previous years, despite global events. The governor added that despite the hot June weather approaching, the continued growth of tourism in Luxor has not been affected. He attributed this to the stability and security Egypt enjoys thanks to the wisdom of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, who assumed the presidency 10 years ago. He also praised US support for the country. The US Ambassador to Cairo attended the inauguration of the new drinking water station in the village of El-Hanady, east of Esna, south of Luxor. This station will serve approximately 10 villages by 2024. The station was funded by the US Agency for International Development. Hurghada Int'l Airport Celebrates First Flight from Tashkent
Taarek Refaat Hurghada International Airport today received the first flight of Uzbekistan's Centrum Air airline from Tashkent International Airport, carrying 175 tourists. Ayman Salah, Deputy Director of Hurghada International Airport welcomed the passengers with flowers and souvenirs, along with the participation of the public relations and media team, and the traditional water salute. This flight is the first in a series of scheduled flights during the summer season between Uzbekistan and Hurghada, in light of the growing international interest in Egyptian tourist destinations. Uzbek Gov't Delegation Tours Agricultural Projects, Research Centers in Egypt
Taarek Refaat An Uzbek government delegation headed by the Director of the Cabinet Secretariat for Investment, Export, Trade, Agriculture and Water Resources visited several agricultural projects and research centers during a four-day visit to Egypt. The Uzbek delegation began its field trip with a visit to the Agricultural Research Center, where they were briefed on the center's research activities and its efforts to achieve food security and improve crop productivity. They also visited the Excellence and Innovation Exhibition. The Uzbek delegation also visited the Desert Research Center, where they learned about the center's efforts to address the challenges of desertification and climate change. The Uzbek group expressed their great admiration for Egypt's experience in establishing integrated agricultural communities aimed at achieving social stability and sustainable development, commending the role of the Desert Research Center in providing pioneering models and practical solutions to environmental and agricultural challenges in desert regions. They also inspected the "Future of Egypt" sustainable agriculture project, the first project aimed at achieving self-sufficiency and exporting surpluses. The targeted area for reclamation is 1.5 million feddans, out of the total area of the New Delta project, which amounts to 2.2 million feddans.
