"Mick and Lindsey together, what a flawless guitar player": Fleetwood and Buckingham are working on a new record
Whilst a Fleetwood Mac reunion remains a pipe dream for fans, it's been revealed that Mick Fleetwood has been working in the studio with Lindsey Buckingham.
The news has been broken by Swedish producer and songwriter Carl Falk who last month posted a picture on Threads of the two in the studio and wrote: "Slightly unreal moment to sit with Lindsey Buckingham and Mick Fleetwood to play Lindsey the album we have been working on.
"And to see his genuine happiness for Mick to finally do his own album and offering to play guitar and to sing on it. Can't wait to finish this one."
Now Falk has posted more images from the sessions, including one captioned "Mick and Lindsey together again, what a flawless guitar player" as well as another with Fleetwood and Adam Granduciel from the Philadelphia band The War On Drugs.
So it seems a Fleetwood/ Buckingham record of some description is in the works. If so, it will be the first time that the two have worked together since 2018. Back then, you may recall that Buckingham left Fleetwood Mac over issues relating to the band's final tour.
Those issues seemed to revolve around Buckingham and Stevie Nicks, rather than the band as a whole. Nicks herself now seems to have burned her bridges with her ex-partner. "I dealt with Lindsey for as long as I could,' she told Rolling Stone last year. "You could not say that I did not give him more than 300 million chances.'
Fleetwood for his part simply seems to want his friends to repair their friendship before it's too late. "I always have a fantasy that (Stevie) and Lindsay would pal up a bit more and just say everything's OK for them both,' he revealed to US Weekly last month.
'I miss playing as much as we used to. I'm hoping next year, one way or another, some band somewhere will say, come and play with drums or something. So I always love to do whatever I can do working on an album that next year we may tour with it. I don't know, (but) not Fleetwood Mac."

‘It Just Broke Me': Katee Sackhoff Explains Why She Lost ‘All' Of Her Confidence After Working On The Mandalorian
When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. While Katee Sackhoff was certainly a well-known actor prior to 2020 thanks to Battlestar Galactica, Longmire, Riddick, 24 and various other projects, her profile definitely got a major boost from The Mandalorian. Following her animated outings as Bo-Katan Kryze in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels, Sackhoff brought her Star Wars character to life in live-action in the Disney+ subscription-exclusive show's second season, then returned for Season 3. In the midst of that though, there was something that triggered Sackhoff to lose 'all' of her confidence and doubt her acting abilities. The actress talked about this dark time in her life while she was chatting with her Battlestar Galactica co-star Tahmoh Penikett on The Sackhoff Show, where the two of them also reflected on how they were wrong to reject Edward James Olmos' advice when they were younger. Sackhoff informed Penikett that she 'just now figured out a process almost 30 years' into her acting career and hired an acting coach. When he asked her to elaborate, she started off by saying: … What had happened was I lost all of my confidence after Mandalorian… My style of acting has always just been your first instinct is the right instinct. Do that. Play the reality of the situation. And I've never really played a character. You know what I mean? I've always played two steps removed from myself, in a sense. Like, it always felt grounded in some part of my belly of who I was. Bo-Katan is nowhere near who I am as a human being. Her life, what she wants. I didn't understand her. As much as I understood her, I never felt her in my stomach. I never identified with her. I didn't know how to find her. It's one thing to voice a character across a handful of episodes of two animated TV shows (and later the anthology series Star Wars: Tales of the Empire), but playing Bo-Katan on camera marked a major turning point for Katee Sackhoff. More eyes were on her than ever, and while it may have looked on the outside like she was effectively playing the character, the experience was enough for her to start doubting herself because she wasn't able to connect to Bo-Katan on a deeper level. Sackhoff continued: It broke me. It just broke me where I started doubting everything about myself. I'm not a strong auditioner on tape and I was having to put myself on tape. I wasn't booking anything, and for three years, I basically didn't work… I broke down. I was crying one day with [Michael Trucco] at his kitchen counter. And he was like, 'You're going to be fine. You always work.' And I was like, 'I'm not okay, man. I'm not working. I'm so broken. I've got no confidence left. I don't know what to do. I'm lost.' Michael Trucco is another one of Katee Sackhoff's Battlestar Galactica cohorts, and she and him have remained close since the show ended in 2009. That's exemplified by how she was willing to be vulnerable in front of him about her acting struggles. She then told Tahmoh Penikett about how she was 'scrambling' at this point because she 'had no technique to fall back on,' which then led to a clash with her ex-manager: And the worst thing was my old manager would say things like, 'This is just easy for you. It's so easy for you. You don't even have to try. Just stop trying. You're trying too hard." And he would say, 'You're just better at this. Just stop.' And I I lost it at him one day and started screaming. I was like, 'Stop saying that to me. You're destroying me because you've told me my entire life it's easy for me and it's not fucking easy. And now I'm at a point where I'm falling apart because it's not easy, and you're telling me it's easy. It's so dismissive. From there, Katee Sackhoff hired a new manager, told him how she felt, and he set her up with an acting coach. That coach then told Sackhoff it wasn't her goal to teach her out to act since she already knew how to do that, but just to get the Kara Thrace actress back in her 'belly.' Evidently it worked, as Sackhoff sounds like she's in a much more confident place. Otherwise, I doubt she would have discussed this subject while Tahmoh Penikett was appearing on her podcast. That said, it's unclear when we'll see Katee Sackhoff reprise Bo-Katan Kryze again. Although The Mandalorian & Grogu comes out on May 22, 2026, but here's been no mention of her being in the cast. Still, given both Sackhoff and Bo-Katan's popularity, I have to think there'll come a day when she returns to the Star Wars universe, even if it's not necessarily tied to Din Djarin's story. Fleetwood Mac's Self-Titled Album Returns As A Bestseller
Fleetwood Mac has released multiple greatest hits compilations throughout the decades under different names, and each one varies from the last in at least a few minor ways. Many of those projects have become great commercial wins in countries like the United Kingdom and the United States, where the Grammy-winning act is still celebrated as one of the best of all time. Several Fleetwood Mac albums play sort of like hits compilations, as they feature so many beloved songs. The group's Rumours is certainly counted among that bunch, as is the pop-rock act's self-titled effort, which is a hit once again in the UK — even as multiple compilations featuring some of its most popular singles perform well at the same time. Fleetwood Mac – the Album – Breaks Onto Multiple Lists Fleetwood Mac's self-titled full-length appears on two charts in the UK at the moment, and it returns to both of them. The set reenters the Official Physical Albums roster at No. 21, and it finds its way to the Official Album Sales list at No. 24. Fleetwood Mac Almost Returns to its Peak Fleetwood Mac comes very close to matching its all-time high on both of those sales tallies. In the past, this version of the project has only spent about a month on the rankings, and it has previously topped out at No. 20. Two Self-Titled Albums by Fleetwood Mac Fleetwood Mac released two self-titled albums, separated by less than a decade from one another. The latter of the two, which dropped in 1975, is the more successful of the bunch, as by that point the group had become hugely successful. That project produced singles like 'Warm Ways,' 'Rhiannon,' and 'Say You Love Me,' and the fan-favorite album cut 'Landslide.' Rumours, 50 Years – Don't Stop and Greatest Hits Fleetwood Mac is one of four full-lengths by the band that appear on the charts in the U.K. at the moment. Rumours is the top performer, as it lives on half a dozen rankings, while 50 Years – Don't Stop settles on two and still makes space inside the top 10 on both of them. Another compilation, the simply-named Greatest Hits, can also be found on the Official Album Downloads ranking, where it lifts a pair of spaces to No. 62. 'Dreams,' 'Everywhere,' 'The Chain' and 'Go Your Own Way' Just as many songs by the band also find space on at least one U.K.-based chart. That roundup includes 'Dreams,' 'Everywhere,' 'The Chain,' and 'Go Your Own Way,' which finds its way back to the Official Streaming list in one of the lowest spaces. Interestingly, none of Fleetwood Mac's hits at the moment appear on its self-titled album, so it's not a surging tune that helps the studio effort reappear, but rather just its continued popularity throughout the decades.

Netflix's Extraction Spinoff Keeps Getting Good News, And I'm Pumped It Just Added A Game Of Thrones Alum
When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. Fans of the Extraction films starring Chris Hemsworth got some good news about the franchise earlier this year, although not in the form of a continuation in the form of Extraction 3. A television spinoff is happening to expand the world of the films, and there are finally some casting updates beyond Omar Sy as leading man. Game of Thrones vet Natalie Dormer landed a role, just days after another star was announced. Dormer will be a series regular on Extraction, according to Deadline, to play the leader of a private military contractor by the name of Clayton Wisper. This will be Dormer's second project for Netflix, although it's a safe bet that working on the series will be a lot more intense than her voice work on The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. (The Dark Crystal show was cancelled in 2020.) The actress is likely still best known for portraying Margaery Tyrell on Game of Thrones, with Dormer's character actually in more episodes than heavy-hitters like Joffrey Baratheon (Jack Gleeson) and Catelyn Stark (Michelle Fairley). Netflix describes the project as an "action thriller" following a mercenary on a risky mission in Libya to rescue hostages, stuck between killers and factions at war. It won't be all action, however, and the story unfolding as a TV show rather than a movie means that there will be more time for character development than could happen in either of the films. The spinoff comes from showrunner, executive producer, and writer Glen Mazzara (known for shows like The Walking Dead and The Shield), with the Russo Brothers of MCU fame on board as executive producers. While the Extraction show certainly won't be ready in time for a premiere in the 2025 TV schedule, there's more encouraging news about the progress so far. Boyd Holbrook has been cast to play an Extraction team leader named David Ibarra, according Deadline, as a series regular. Like Dormer, Holbrook has worked on Netflix productions before, including Narcos opposite stars like Wagner Moura, The Last of Us' Pedro Pascal, and Andor's Diego Luna. More recently, he wrapped his time as part of The Sandman cast with the series finale in July. Natalie Dormer and Boyd Holbrook star opposite The Killer and Jurassic World: Dominion's Omar Sy, who was the only cast member confirmed when the Extraction spinoff was announced in early 2025. (Sy also has Netflix credits to his name with three seasons of Lupin.) Now, if you're a fan of the Extraction films (both of which are available streaming now with a Netflix subscription), you may notice that I'm not listing Chris Hemsworth or any other names from the movies. At the time of writing, it's not clear how closely tied the show will be to the stories of Tyler Rake (Hemsworth), if at all. For now, you can always revisit the two movies streaming on Netflix, and keep your eyes peeled for any more casting news to come out of the show in the weeks to come. Solve the daily Crossword
