Cosmic Cabubu lineup of Samsung foldables
Caviar has announced a collection of the newly launched Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, which is being called 'Cosmic Cabubu'. The new Caviar collection is inspired by the viral Labubu doll created by an artist named Kasing Lung. Now, the company has reimaged the viral doll as a cosmic traveller, hence the name 'Cabubu.'
If we look into the foldable design, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 comes with a titanium finish with the design of planets and a 3D figure of Zimomo ( a Labubu character). The rear panel is also equipped with 24K gold, jewellery-grade enamel, diamonds and ragments of real meteorites. On the other hand, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 showcases Cabubu on Venus with black titanium and gold detailing on the rear panel. It also includes 13 natural diamonds and small pieces of actual meteorite, which are extremely rare and exotic in nature.

Alongside the unique-looking design, Caviar is also offering customisation such as personal engraving, adding a logo or initials, material replacement, and others. However, the Cosmic Cabubu lineup of Samsung foldables does not come at a cheap price, and people will have to pay a huge sum to buy the Labubu-inspired smartphones.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7's Cabubu on Mars edition comes with a starting price of $10340 (about Rs. 8,87,823) for the 256GB storage variant. The Galaxy Z Flip 7's Cabubu on Venus edition is priced at $8910 (about Rs. 7,65,039) for the 256GB variant. Apart from the pricing and design, the foldables retain similar specifications as announced in the Galaxy Unpacked event.

Brian Cox Returns For 007: Road To A Million Season 2; Here's What To Expect
Prime Video has announced that the second season of 007: Road To A Million, along with Brian Cox, who will return as The Controller. While the search for the next James Bond continues to make headlines, no actor has been confirmed yet to take on the iconic role. But fans won't have to wait for their next dose of Bond-inspired action. Prime Video has announced that Season 2 of 007: Road to a Million will premiere on August 22. Following the success of its first season, the reality competition series returns with even more thrilling challenges. Brian Cox is also back as The Controller, who guides contestants through a series of high-stakes tasks. This season, new teams will face even tougher tests as they compete for the ultimate prize: £1 million. As per the press release, 'This time around, eight pairs of ordinary people embark on a thrilling 007-inspired global adventure which takes them from Bangkok's Sinn Sathorn Tower to shark-infested waters in the Bahamas. They face epic challenges testing skills and relationships, including facing live scorpions in Thailand, firing guns in a historic Hacienda in Mexico, and braving dizzying Alpine cable cars." 007: Road To A Million was planned back in 2021, even before Amazon fully bought MGM Studios in 2023. It also happened before Amazon MGM Studios took creative charge of the James Bond film series in 2025 from the original producers, Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson. For season 2 of the show, the people behind the Bond movies, Barbara Broccoli, Michael G Wilson and Gregg Wilson, are back as executive producers. For Brian Cox, being the host of the reality show is a fun and exciting job. But when the makers first contacted him, he misunderstood their offer. The Succession star thought he was finally going to be part of a real James Bond movie. Later, he found out it was not a movie role, but he would be hosting a Bond-themed reality show. Speaking with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show, Brian said, 'I thought it was the new James Bond film, so I said, 'Oh, finally, they're getting me in a James Bond movie.' And I thought, yes, of course, don't even show me the script, there was no script, it's a reality, and there was no James Bond movie. I thought for years, I'd love to be a James Bond villain, it's really interesting, and I thought this was my moment, but it wasn't." The contestants for 007: Road To A Million season 2 include Dylan, Dan, Cat, Maiya, Ricky, Noddy, Shabina, Sid, Asaad, Jamilah, Rob, Alex, Steven, Shelley, Sam and Luke. view comments First Published: July 31, 2025, 09:41 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Shanghai police bust gang selling fake Labubu dolls worth $1.7 million
Police in Shanghai busted a gang making and selling fake Labubus this month, detaining eight people and 5,000 counterfeit toys worth $1.7 million, local state-owned media reported. Pop Mart notified police when a customer reported that one purchased online was in fact fake.(REUTERS File) Made by Beijing-based toymaker Pop Mart, Labubu dolls have become a must-have item internationally, adorning the handbags of celebrities such as Rihanna and Dua Lipa. The furry, fanged creatures, which typically sell for around $40, are released in limited quantities and have caused frenzies at stores around the world. Knock-offs -- many of which are also made in China -- have flooded online platforms, dubbed "Lafufus" by social media users. The Shanghai bust in early July uncovered 12-million-yuan ($1.7-million) worth of fake Pop Mart toys, state-run Shanghai Daily reported late Tuesday. Pop Mart notified police when a customer reported that one purchased online was in fact fake. This led to the discovery of an online store that sold fans, speakers and gaming consoles -- but was also a front for selling the counterfeits. Police raided a warehouse, detaining eight people and the 5,000 toys, complete with forged trademarks and fake anti-counterfeit stickers, the report said. It is not the first time the fluffy monsters have been associated with crime. In Singapore, CCTV footage captured a family stealing Labubu dolls from a claw machine last year, according to online media outlet AsiaOne. And in June, burglars broke into a store in California and took several Labubu dolls along with electronics and other valuables, US news outlet ABC reported.
