Maroon 5 to headline Dubai New Year's Eve 2026 gala at Atlantis, The Palm
Following performances from Sting in 2023 and Lionel Richie in 2024, the band will take the stage for an open-air show under the stars, with a setlist including 'Moves Like Jagger', 'She Will Be Loved', 'This Love', 'Payphone', and 'Maps'. The performance will be accompanied by a fireworks display stretching from Atlantis, The Palm to Atlantis The Royal.

Renowned as one of Dubai's most glamorous black-tie celebration, the gala dinner will feature live theatrical performances and entertainment on a custom-built deck with panoramic views of Palm Island and the Dubai skyline.
The evening will begin at 6 PM with canapés, welcome drinks, and roaming entertainment. Guests will then be invited to an outdoor venue featuring a 30-piece live band, unlimited premium beverages, champagne, lobster, caviar, sushi, live cooking stations, handcrafted desserts, and petit fours.
Atlantis has expanded its VIP offering this year with 22 enhanced Sky Suites located in an elevated section of the venue, which include a private butler and curated dining from the resort's top restaurants.
For younger guests, the Asateer Tent will host a children's party zone with a giant slide, bouncy castle, outdoor cinema, game stalls, arts and crafts, and festive activities.
Ticket prices range from AED 4,500 for kids, AED 6,500 for adults for premium seating. Rouge circle, golden circle and VIP Sky Suite options are also available. Children under the age of three go free.

Lindsay Lohan: My spiritual experience in Dubai helped shape Freakier Friday
Something was missing. When Lindsay Lohan stepped away from acting for nearly a decade – stepped away from life as she knew it – nothing felt right any more. To find herself again, she needed silence. Not the kind that falls between takes, but the kind she found in Dubai. "Silence is something I didn't grow up having," Lohan tells The National. "Dubai is a long moment of silence for me, in a way – and that's really refreshing. "I love Dubai. I'm from New York, and it's so fast-paced. To have somewhere that's still moving fast around you, but where you don't feel compelled to move fast with it – that's something I really cherish as I get older." In Freakier Friday, she slips back into a role that defined her youth. But the person stepping into those shoes now is someone very different – someone who had to stop and ask herself whether she missed this life at all. Jamie Lee Curtis, Lohan's co-star, mentor and friend, did not understand the move at first. "I made an assumption that somehow she had met her husband and he had brought her to Dubai. But that's not the truth. Lindsay was in Dubai on her own because she needed space – safe space – to find what she was missing," Curtis says. Lohan punctuates her sentiment with an emphatic "yes". Curtis continues: "Lindsay needed to see if she missed working – if she missed acting in movies. That was the most impressive thing to me. I really do think that when you get to understand who you are, it allows you to then pretend to be other people. "One thing I've realised is that when you look in the mirror, you're looking at the problem. But you're also looking at the solution to the problem." And to her great joy, after building a new life and starting a family of her own, Lohan has rediscovered the passion that once made her one of the brightest young stars of her generation. And after three successful Netflix films, the actor makes her triumphant return to the big screen on Thursday – on her own terms. "I feel the space that I have in Dubai gives me the time to really think about what it is I want to do and how I want to do it," says Lohan. "I really find that there. Freakier Friday takes the body swap concept of the first and doubles down – with Lohan's character swapping with her own daughter and Curtis swapping with Lohan's soon-to-be stepdaughter. Just as in the original, the concept allows the characters to see the world through different eyes, which makes Curtis wonder what Dubai looks like through Lohan's. "Let's say, all of a sudden, I'm in Dubai as you. What am I doing? Where am I going?" Curtis asks Lohan. "Do something more spiritual because that's the beauty of Dubai," Lohan replies. "You have to go see the desert, see the peace that's there, and have traditional food out there, and sit with people and see that side of the culture. I wouldn't go to the Burj Khalifa and see the sights right away. Out there in the desert, it's just wild." Chad Michael Murray, who played Lohan's love interest Jake in the first film, was thrilled to be able to come back to the material more self-assured. And here we are, 23 years since we filmed the first one, and we felt free to make different choices and just be a little bit more risky," says Murray. "I think everybody's going to leave the theatre on cloud nine, just feeling good dancing out of the theatre, having a million laughs. It's tough out there, man. I say this in jest, but honestly who knows – this kind of movie helps. It might help you live longer." For Kiss fans in 2020, it meant your own hotel room at Atlantis The Palm, with a private balcony overlooking a socially distanced stage – part of a five-night New Year's package during the height of the pandemic. Fast forward to December 31 this year: if you have Dh6,500 to spare, you can catch Maroon 5 performing at Atlantis The Royal 's first public New Year's Eve concert, complete with a lavish buffet. Want to sing She Will Be Loved and Payphone with nine friends and a private butler? That'll cost Dh200,000 for a Sky Suite. While the numbers may raise eyebrows, this reflects a long-running trend. The UAE has turned luxury live music into a signature – blending performance, setting and scale in ways few markets attempt. Here's a look back – and in one case, ahead – at six of the country's most exclusive and lavishly priced concerts, listed in ascending order. 6. The Dutch DJ's trance and atmospheric anthems went down a treat at this October show. A capacity of 1,000 people was on hand to see van Buuren perform a set with exclusive production that included drones, fireworks and lasers. The amphitheatre layout allowed audience members to see from all angles, making the show resemble a special desert version of the popular online dance music concert series Boiler Room. Best part of all, for some folks anyway, is the show wasn't van Buuren's usual seven-hour epic set. The Dutch spinner ended his four-hour performance at 1am. 4. Dh4,500: Lionel Richie at Atlantis, The Palm, Dubai, 2024 Before this year's New Year's revelry moves to the more ultra-luxe Atlantis Royal, many of Dubai's biggest New Year's Eve concerts were held at the neighbouring family-friendly Atlantis, The Palm resort, with previous artists over the years including Sting, Kylie Minogue and Robbie Williams. Last year was no different, with a dinner concert by Hello singer Lionel Richie – a breezy 60-minute selection of his greatest hits from both his solo and Commodores catalogue, including All Night Long, Dancing on the Ceiling, Penny Lover and Sail On. 3. Dh5,000: Atif Aslam and Sami Yusuf at Etihad Arena, Abu Dhabi, 2025 Expensive tickets aren't reserved for New Year's Eve or beachside venues – sometimes it's simply about being front row for a meeting of musical giants. Pakistani pop star Atif Aslam and British singer Sami Yusuf will perform separate sets on October 7 that highlight Aslam's elegant ballads and Yusuf's compositions rooted in Islamic history and heritage. Organisers are promising a production to match the occasion. Each artist will perform with their own orchestras and stage design. 2. Dh10,000: Enrique Iglesias at Nammos Dubai, 2022 For such a party starter, the Spanish pop star has rarely headlined his own New Year's Eve concert. His Dubai show marked his first solo end-of-year bash in a career spanning over three decades, giving the event an air of exclusivity. Iglesias took the purpose-built stage at the Jumeirah beach club, an outpost of the popular Mykonos party spot, alongside Cuban pop group Gente de Zona. With tickets ranging from Dh8,000 to Dh10,000, the event followed a 'glam chic' dress code. The intimate crowd dined on a Mediterranean dinner before hitting the dance floor to see Iglesias ring in 2023 with hits like Bailando, I Like It and Vamonos. 1. Dh47,850: Kiss at Atlantis, The Palm, 2020 Not many fans would shell out nearly Dh50,000 to see a rock concert – then again, not many bands inspire the kind of devotion Kiss enjoyed in the final years of their career. But this was no ordinary New Year's Eve gig. Held at the height of the pandemic, when the live music industry was effectively shut down, the New Year's Eve show at Atlantis, The Palm made headlines for offering a possible blueprint for safe, large-scale performance. The resort became a tightly controlled bubble, where safety protocols never came at the expense of spectacle. Most attendees paid the eye-watering sum to watch the show from private hotel balconies overlooking the purpose-built stage that floated above the pool, with the ticket price formed part of a five-night holiday package that included luxury accommodation and exclusive access. A very limited number of Dubai residents were able to secure ground-level views by booking Royal Beach tables at Dh2,500 per person, with a five-guest minimum. Everyone else watched online, with more than 50 cameras capturing the band's final-year theatrics for a global live-stream audience.
