One of the seven wonders of the world has revealed plans for a £38million overhaul.
The Egyptian government has unveiled plans to clean up the Pyramids of Giza, with improved management and regulations.

In total, the project is expected to cost £38million.
A new access point has been established, replacing the historic entrance near Marriott Mena House, which often experiences traffic jams and congestion.
New measures will also stop private cars and tour buses from entering the plateau.
Instead, visitors and guides will be provided with eco-friendly electric vehicles to get around the site.
The revamp aims to improve overall sustainability of the complex, but some visitors have complained on social media that they have been forced to wait or walk in the heat.
However, 45 electric buses have now been made available at the site and scheduled to run every five minutes.
The revamp will also see several tombs restored, online ticketing introduced and a new visitor centre.
The project, which is being led by Orascom Pyramids Entertainment Services Company, follows a number of complaints about the destination being prone to overcrowding and scams.
For a number of years, the UNESCO World Heritage Site has experienced poor management, aggressive vendors and large crowds of tourists.
There have also been some setbacks to the works.

Some of the horse and camel tour operators block vehicles from entering in protests against their relocation to designated parking areas.
The vendors claim that they will now be too far away from the entrance and that this will damage business.
Egyptian authorities hope that works planned for the Pyramids will help to limit the overcrowding and persistent vendors.
A mysterious city was also recently found under the Pyramids, according to scientists.
Researches from Italy and Scotland discovered "a vast underground city" that is 10 times larger than the Pyramids themselves and span over 6,500 feet.
The team used radar to established a detailed image of what lies below the Pyramids and labelled the study as "groundbreaking".

Beautiful Croatian hilltop village that was used as a dupe for city of Nottingham in the Robin Hood movie

An hour away from the Croatian city of Pula is the pretty village of Završje, it sits on a hilltop, has winding streets and stone houses with terracotta rooftops. The village is tiny, with the last population consensus in 2021 revealing that just 39 people lived there. More people might have seen it than first thought though, as in 2018 it appeared in a blockbuster movie. Završje stood in for 12th century Nottingham in the Robin Hood film starring Taron Egerton, Jamie Foxx and Eve Hewson. The town's medieval look made it the ideal backdrop for the movie's scenes and were used for the end battle between Robin Hood and the Sheriff of Nottingham. Završje has its very own leaning tower - the church tower is 22 metres tall and leans about 40cm because of the unstable ground it was built on. Once you've had a walk around the tiny village, there's plenty more to do in Istria - the heart-shaped peninsula boasts incredible beaches, cities and historical sites. Its Ancient Roman buildings have led to many comparisons with Italy, and the city of Pula's Roman amphitheatre is the sixth largest in the world. It's also one of the best-preserved in the world with its outer walls and four side towers mostly intact. Tickets for entry to the Arena can be purchased at the main entrance - adults are €10 (£8.64) and students are €5 (£4.32). One of the top attractions is the Punta Kamenjak National Park where you can go swimming and snorkelling. Essential spots to see include the Old Town, Baredine Cave, Port of Rovinj and Church of St Euphemia. Istria is also home to Croatia's largest waterpark Aquapark Porec Aquacolors. It boasts several huge waterslides, including the Freefall, a 48-metre long drop and Turbolance which features a steep drop, reverses and a splash pool, all while taking "crazy photos" of riders. However, there are also calmer rides for youngsters including family rafting slides. The park has a TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice Award due to the number of positive ratings it has received. One visitor wrote: "Awesome place, so much fun and adrenaline. Would come again, definitely! Make sure you arrive early because there is so many slides you will want to try." Scots tourist could be jailed for stealing from historic European site

The man, 51, was stopped by Italian Carabinieri police after a guide saw him put fragments from a brick and five stones lifted from the UNESCO World Heritage Site in his backpack. Locals say those who take treasures from the site are hexed after tourists who helped themselves to ancient items suffered a series of misfortunes. A police spokesman said: "This week we caught a Scotsman before he could get away but we may have saved him from the curse. "He said he had no idea it was forbidden to remove artefacts from Pompeii. "He was trying to get out of trouble but it did not work." Officials say the man was stopped near a train station after lifting pieces of the ancient ruins during a night-time tour on Thursday. Pompeii near Naples was home to up to 20,000 people until volcano Mount Vesuvius erupted sending scorching 250°C ash clouds across the city in 79AD. The mountains of debris helped preserve the site, which is visited by 2.5million tourists each year. Tonnes of volcanic ash protected the settlement's buildings until archaeologists could unearth its basilica and temples. The Tragic History of Pompeii Voids left by human bodies which were trapped underneath have been filled with plaster and resin to recreate figures trapped by the disaster. Up to 20,000 visitors each day come to see them. An American woman who took two stones from Pompeii in 2011 says she got stage 3 breast cancer and her marriage collapsed prompting her to return the items. In 2020, a Canadian posted mosaic tiles and ceramics she had taken to a travel agent in the city claiming she suffered from bad luck, including two bouts of serious illness and financial problems. And in 2015, an English tourist returned a fragment of an art work her parents lifted decades earlier claiming it had brought years of misfortune. Gabriel Zuchtriegel, director general of the archaeological park in Pompeii, said: 'Congratulations and thanks to the attentive tour guide, to our excellent custodians and security staff, and to the Carabinieri for this collaborative effort to protect our heritage. 'Controls will be reinforced in the coming days due to the high influx of visitors during the summer.'
