TYCOON (6.00 Windsor, nap)
This son of super sire Kingman created a good impression on his debut at Sandown in late August. He travelled sweetly enough but finished the line full of running in third place. He gave the impression he would come on plenty for that experience and has much more to offer the Gosdens who have made a flying start to the new Flat season. They can bag another winner with Oisin Murphy in the saddle.
BELL SHOT (2.45 Lingfield, nb)
He shaped well on turf when third at Thirsk last time. He was just a little tapped for toe over the six-furlong distance there and moving back to this best trip can pay dividends. His last visit to Lingfield saw him beaten just a length and he's back from the same handicap mark.
BARMYBLADE (4.40 Ayr, treble)
He took advantage of a falling handicap mark to land a battling victory at Catterick last time. He was returning from more than six months off there and showed a good attitude. The handicapper has been more than fair with just a 2lb nudge up the weights and he has few miles on the clock so there should be improvement to come.
DOUBLETHETROUBLE (2.15 Lingfield, Lucky 15)
He has been knocking on the door and made it three podiums in a row when a close-up third in a similar contest to this at Kempton last time. He stays well and his rider's 7lb claim brings his weight down nicely.

Willie Mullins eyeing famous Ascot success with Reaching High
The master of Closutton has long been at the top of the training tree and it should perhaps be no surprise that the first man to pass a century of winners at the Cheltenham Festival and who also holds his own on the Flat is the first Irishman to train for the reigning monarch. If Mullins was feeling any nerves after being bestowed such an honour, he can take comfort from heading to the familiar territory of the Ascot Stakes with Closutton's royal inmate, a race he has won four times and which came immediately on Reaching High's radar after a pleasing stable bow at Leopardstown. 'I've been very happy since his first run, he did everything nicely at Leopardstown and if he could run a similar type of race at Ascot I would be very pleased,' said Mullins reflecting on Reaching High's short head defeat in the hands of Jody Townend. 'It would be great to have a winner for Their Majesties. It's great of them to send me a pedigree like this to train and we're hoping for the best and that it all goes well on the day.' Mullins of course has previous with the royal family at their own meeting having been the man who saddled Simenon to narrowly finish second to the late Queen Elizabeth II's Estimate when she achieved a famous Gold Cup success in 2013. Estimate was trained by Sir Michael Stoute and ridden by Ryan Moore and it is perhaps fitting that Mullins' first horse since being added to the royal roster is a former Stoute-trained offspring of Estimate set to be partnered on Tuesday by Moore. Mullins though, is determined to enjoy his week attending Flat racing's annual jamboree, even if the magnitude of victory for the King and Queen will see him bookmarked in racing history yet again. 'Why wouldn't you look forward to Royal Ascot,' said Mullins. 'Yes we'll have a few runners and hopefully a winner, but it's sort of a busman's holiday that gives you a good chance to get round and meet people who I don't get to meet at Cheltenham. 'While the Flat trainers are working away, I can catch up with all our owners just like the Flat trainers do while we're busy during Cheltenham and it works well. If we can then get a winner it's a bonus, even one in the first four is great.' Mullins currently has 10 Royal Ascot winners to his name and will also bid for a Copper Horse Stakes hat-trick with Charlus on the opening day card, while the biggest threat to Reaching High could in fact come from within his own Closutton camp in the form of Triumph Hurdle hero Poniros. Owned by Brighton and Hove Albion supremo Tony Bloom, for who Mullins saddled Stratum to win back-to-back Queen Alexandra Stakes in 2021 and 2022, the Ascot Stakes marks what could be a busy summer on the level for the shock 100-1 Cheltenham Festival scorer who was bought with dual-purpose designs. 'Poniros is well entitled to go there and he ran well there at the meeting last year,' continued Mullins. 'I think we could have some fun with him this summer and he would be one we can look forward to in all of those staying handicaps.'

Sir Chris Hoy competes in Le Mans race – 20 months after life-changing cancer diagnosis
SIR Chris Hoy competed in the Mustang Challenge Invitational at Le Mans, despite his stage four cancer diagnosis. The Scottish sporting legend was diagnosed with terminal prostate cancer in 2023, but hasn't let the illness deter him from living life to the fullest. One of the ways he has done this is by taking part in an invitational race at the iconic event this weekend. Sir Chris said on Instagram: "What a few days at LeMans.. after my cancer diagnosis 20 months ago I never imagined I'd be back racing here again, so when the opportunity arose courtesy of Ford performance and Jay Ward to take part in the Mustang Challenge Invitational I grabbed it with both hands. "The circuit de la sarthe is a special place and the magic never fades, it really is a privilege to drive on this historic track. "As my team mate for the week Chris Harris said, you never turn down the chance to drive at LeMans. "Speaking of Chris Harris it was a blast to hang out, talk cars and learn from him, what a job he did in Race 2, P12 from 31st on the grid, making 11 places in lap one amidst the carnage and bringing the Tour de 4 liveried #77 home in style! "I managed P20 from the same grid position in race 1, very happy to have had some awesome battles throughout the 45 minute race and get a proper hit out after frustrations in qualifying. "Massive thanks to Academy Motorsport team for all their hard work and support, what a great bunch they are. "And finally, best of luck to all the drivers in the 24 heures du mans, I wish you a safe and successful race." The six-time gold medal winning star's car featured the 'Tour de four' logo, which is a charity bike ride the cycling hero has organised for later this year. Fernando Alonso drives to victory at the 24 hours of Le Mans in 2018 Hoy told TNT Sports before racing in France: "This is the Tour De Four, which is a mass participation charity bike ride which I'm organising in September, September 7th. "It's to try and raise £1million for cancer charities across the UK and also try and change perceptions of stage four cancer, because I was diagnosed with stage four cancer almost two years ago now and it shocked me, it rocked my world, it changed everything. "In one sentence you're told its not curable, but its treatable and suddenly you have this death sentence and it is terrifying but I'm here to show that life goes on for many people in that situation. "So the bike ride is to try and get as many people together as possible, not just people suffering with cancer, but anybody, to show that, you know, we can keep on living and make the most of every day and live in the present, because that's all any of us have."
