Airlines suspend flights after Israel strikes
Israel launching widescale strikes against Iran has prompted international airlines to halt flights to the region.
Below are some of the airlines that have cancelled their flights to and from the region:
Aegean airlines
Greece's Aegean Airlines has cancelled all flights to and from Tel Aviv scheduled for Friday, June 13, it said.
Airbaltic
Latvia's airBaltic said that all flights to and from Tel Aviv until 23 June have been cancelled.
Israel hits Iran nuclear and missile facilities, appears to block retaliation
Aeroflot
Russia's Aeroflot said that it had cancelled flights between Moscow and Tehran, and made changes to other routes in the Middle East after Israeli strikes on Iran.
Air France-KLM
Air-France said that it had suspended its flights to and from Tel Aviv until further notice.
KLM has cancelled all flights to Tel Aviv until at least July 1, Dutch news agency ANP reported.
Air India
Air India said that multiple flights were either being diverted or returning to their origin.
Israel's attack on Iran: Pakistan says airspace operating as per routine
Ajet
Turkish Airlines subsidiary AJet has cancelled flights to Iran, Iraq and Jordan until Monday morning, an AJet source said.
The source said that AJet will operate flights to Lebanon only during daylight hours. It plans to operate flights to elsewhere in the Middle East including flying over Iraq without using the affected airspace, the source added.
Delta air lines
Travel to, from, or through Tel Aviv, may be impacted between June 12-June 30, the U.S. carrier said on its website.
El Al Israel airlines
El Al Israel Airlines said that it had suspended flights to and from Israel.
Etihad airways
Etihad Airways said that it had cancelled two flights between Abu Dhabi and Tel Aviv and delayed the departure of four others.

Emirates
Emirates said that it had cancelled flights to and from Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, and Iran.
Flydubai
Flydubai said that it had suspended flights to Amman,Beirut, Damascus, Iran and Israel.
ITA airways
ITA Airways said that it will extend the suspension of Tel Aviv flights until July 31.
Lufthansa group
Lufthansa said that it had suspended all flights to and from Tehran. The German airline added that it would also avoid Iranian, Iraqi and Israeli airspace for now.
Qatar airways
Qatar Airways said that it had cancelled flights to and from Iraq, and Iran.

Ryanair
Ryanair said that it had cancelled flights to and from Tel Aviv until August 31.
Tarom
Romania's flag carrier said it had suspended all commercial flights to and from Tel Aviv, Beirut and Amman until Monday, June 16.

Wizz Air said that it had cancelled a number of flights scheduled to fly over areas affected by regional tensions in the Middle East.

Iran denies that its uranium enrichment programme is for anything other than civilian purposes, rejecting Israeli allegations that it is secretly developing nuclear weapons. U.S. President Donald Trump told Reuters that he and his team had known the Israeli attacks were coming but they still saw room for an accord.

PM Pakistan condemns unprovoked Israeli attack on Iran
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday strongly condemned what he described as an 'unprovoked' Israeli attack on Iran, warning that the incident could further destabilise an already volatile region. In a statement posted on X, Sharif said: 'I condemn, in the strongest possible terms, today's unprovoked attack on Iran by Israel. This grave and highly irresponsible act is deeply alarming and risks further de-stabilising an already volatile region.' He expressed sympathy for the Iranian people over reported casualties and called on the international community, including the United Nations, to act swiftly to prevent any further escalation that could threaten regional or global peace. In a separate move, the prime minister instructed authorities to ensure the safety and secure return of Pakistani pilgrims currently in Iran. A Crisis Management Cell has been established at Pakistan's Foreign Office, and the country's embassy in Iran has been placed on high alert. UNGA demands immediate Gaza ceasefire

PHOTO: REUTERS The United Nations General Assembly on Thursday adopted a resolution, by overwhelmingly majority, demanding an immediate, unconditional and permanent ceasefire in Israel's war in Gaza and aid access, after the United States vetoed a similar effort in the Security Council last week. Piloted by Spain, the resolution, co-sponsored by Pakistan and 47 other states, garnered 149 votes in favour to 12 against, with 19 abstentions. Among those opposing the resolution were the United States and Israel, who were joined, among others, by Argentina, Hungary and Paraguay. India, Georgia, Ecuador, Romania and Ethiopia were among the countries abstaining. Under its terms, the resolution strongly condemns the use of starvation as a weapon of war, demands a full lifting of the Israeli blockade on humanitarian aid, and insists on the protection of civilians under international law. Although General Assembly resolutions are not legally binding, they carry significant political and moral weight. Meanwhile, famine conditions continue to threaten lives across Gaza, and reports persist of civilians being killed or injured while trying to access food at distribution points operated independently of the UN but supported by Israel and the US. "We meet here on the 614th day of a full-fledged assault against the Palestinian people," underscored the Palestinian Ambassado to the UN Riyad Mansour. "This illegal, immoral situation cannot continue; it has to stop and stop immediately," he said, pointing to Israel's siege against Palestine — "where over 2 million people have been subjected to relentless bombardments, wanton destruction and engineered starvation".
