Vivo has expanded its budget-friendly T-series portfolio with the launch of a new device, the T4 Lite 5G, in India. The company has introduced this model as part of its effort to make 5G-enabled smartphones more accessible to a wider user base at an affordable price range. The new model enters the market alongside the Vivo T4 Ultra 5G, T4 5G, and T4x 5G. Let's take a closer look at what this new mobile phone has to offer. The Vivo T4 Lite 5G comes with three memory configurations. The base model with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at Rs. 9,999. The mid-tier version offers 6GB RAM and 128GB storage at Rs. 10,999. The highest variant features 8GB RAM and 256GB storage and costs Rs. 12,999. Customers can purchase the phone starting July 2 through Flipkart, Vivo's official online store, and select offline outlets. The device is available in Prism Blue and Titanium Gold colour options.

The Vivo T4 Lite 5G features a 6.74-inch HD+ LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 1,000 nits. The screen carries TÜV Rheinland certification to help reduce blue light exposure. In terms of optics, the device sports a 50MP primary camera supported by a 2MP secondary sensor on the rear. It also has a 5MP camera on the front for selfies and video calling. Additionally, the camera includes AI Photo Enhance and AI Erase to give users a better way to use the camera.

Under the hood, the device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset built on a 6nm process. It supports up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and provides either 128GB or 256GB of internal storage, expandable up to 2TB via microSD card. Furthermore, the mobile phone runs FuntouchOS 15 based on Android 15.

On the other hand, the Vivo T4 Lite 5G houses a large 6,000mAh battery with 15W charging support. It also includes additional features like a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, dual SIM slots, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, Wi-Fi, and a USB Type-C port. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), India's largest IT services exporter, is planning to open new offices across multiple cities as part of a massive infrastructure and expansion push. As per a report by Economic Times' Sobia Khan , the company has earmarked over Rs 4,500 crore for setting up new campuses, leasing office space, and expanding its physical footprint nationwide. Tesla only keen on selling their cars in India, no further plans: H D Kumaraswamy
New Delhi [India], June 24 (ANI): Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Steel H D Kumaraswamy on Tuesday said that US vehicle major Tesla has so far shown interest only in opening a showroom in India, referring to the speculations of the company's intent to setup a manufacturing unit in India. 'Tesla is only interested in opening a showroom till now. They want to sell their car in India. There is no further development about Tesla,' the Union Minister said, speaking on the sidelines of the launch of a portal that will enable foreign electric vehicle (EV) manufacturers to submit their applications to manufacture EVs in India. Launched by the Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI), the scheme is expected to attract investments from global EV manufacturers and promote India as a manufacturing destination for e-vehicles. The Scheme will also help put India on the global map for manufacturing of EVs, generate employment and achieve the goal of 'Make in India.' The approved applicants will be allowed to import Completely Built-in Units (CBUs) of e-4W with a minimum CIF value of USD 35,000 at reduced customs duty of 15 per cent for a period of 5 years from the Application Approval Date to encourage the global manufacturers to invest under the Scheme. Approved applicants would be required to make a minimum investment of Rs 4,150 crores in line with the provisions of the scheme. The scheme is strategically crafted to position India as a global hub for electric vehicle manufacturing. With a minimum investment threshold of Rs 4,150 crore, it provides an enabling policy environment for leading global and domestic players to establish long-term manufacturing footprints in the country. According to the Ministry, the application portal would be open for applications from 24th June 2025, 10.30 a.m. and will remain open until 21st October 2025 till 6:00 p.m. The Ministry said that it has approved a forward-looking scheme to promote the domestic manufacture of passenger cars, with a special focus on electric vehicles (EVs). Gujarat's 'Mission Schools of Excellence' becomes India's largest education mission
Gandhinagar (Gujarat)[India], June 24 (ANI): Gujarat's 'Mission Schools of Excellence' has become India's largest school education initiative, with the state completing the construction of 13,353 classrooms, 21,000 computer labs, 1.09 lakh smart classrooms, and 5,000 STEM labs under the project. According to a Gujarat CMO, the programme, launched in 2022 under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, aims to upgrade around 40,000 government and grant-in-aid schools in the state. The Government of Gujarat has allocated around Rs 12,000 crore for the mission, and the World Bank has committed $750 million for its implementation. Over the past 22 years, this initiative has led to foundational improvements in the education sector and a notable increase in school enrollment rates. Enhancing schools with robust infrastructure, smart classrooms, STEM labs, and co-curricular facilities within the campus plays a vital role in improving academic quality. Gujarat, a pioneer in adopting new approaches in education, launched the country's largest inclusive school campaign - 'Mission Schools of Excellence'. The objective of 'Mission Schools of Excellence' is to upgrade around 40,000 government and grant-in-aid schools by strengthening infrastructure, digital learning tools, and foundational education. This is the first such project in the country aimed at enhancing the quality of school education nationwide. As per the saetemnt, the target is to build 50,000 new classrooms and 1,50,000 new smart classrooms Under the Mission Schools of Excellence, the work of strengthening the physical and digital infrastructure of schools across Gujarat has gained momentum. As part of this initiative, 50,000 new classrooms will be constructed, out of which work on 13,353 classrooms has been completed, while 31,469 classrooms are under construction. In addition to new classrooms, modernisation of 27,872 classrooms has been completed, and work on modernising 63,860 classrooms is ongoing. To further the digital approach in the education sector, 21,000 new computer labs have been established. The process of equipping 18,000 government and grant-in-aid schools with computer labs is currently in progress. Additionally, the mission aims to build 1,50,000 new smart classrooms, of which work on 1,09,000 smart classrooms has already been completed, and equipping 26,000 smart classrooms in government and grant-in-aid schools is underway. The construction of 5,000 new STEM labs has been completed to promote education in science and technology subjects. Under 'Mission Schools of Excellence,' school transformation includes comprehensive development of selected primary, secondary, and higher secondary schools through planned activities such as civil infrastructure, digital infrastructure, smart classrooms, computer labs, STEM labs, online assessments, remedial classes, and holistic education. This will directly and indirectly benefit nearly one crore students and will strengthen the foundation of primary education in Gujarat. (ANI)
