Egypt's Mohamed Karim Boards Brian Skiba's Desert Race Thriller ‘Dead End' As Star & Producer
EXCLUSIVE: Egyptian actor Mohamed Karim is set to star in Brian Skiba's desert race thriller Dead End, which will shoot in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt, and Arizona in 2026.
Karim was recently seen in Skiba's western adventure Gunslingers, which starred Nicholas Cage, Heather Graham and Stephen Dorff, and hit theaters in the U.S. in April. For this latest collaboration, Karim will star and produce under his MK Global Entertainment banner.

Kirk Shaw (Ambitious Entertainment) joins as a producer, bringing experience on more than 200 productions including Academy Award-winning drama The Hurt Locker.
Karim will star as Nixon Callahan,a former street racing legend, has been hiding in Cairo, haunted by a tragic past. When forced into one last drive, he must confront his demons. Teaming with a rogue mechanic, he must survive a deadly cross-desert run, navigating outlaw bikers, assassins, and a global syndicate, all while transporting a mysterious trunk that's worth killing for.
The film will be shot in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt, and Arizona in 2026, with further cast members to be announced soon.
Combining a blend of Middle Eastern roots and Hollywood experience, Karim has long been a major player in the Middle East's film and television community. A GQ Middle East's Man of the Year in 2022 and the former host of The Voice Arabia, Karim's feature MENA feature credits include Shahata's Store and Stolen Kisses.
The producers are planning to showcase Dead End at Saudi Arabia's Red Sea Film Festival and market in Saudi Arabia in December.

Winter has finally released its icy grip, which means patio season is here in Waterloo region. "It's nice, after a long winter. This winter was really cold and long, and so it's beautiful to be outside," said Darko Zeljkovic while he sat on a downtown Kitchener patio. He's Bosnian and said outdoor culture is a regular part of European life. Colourful umbrellas, leafy trellises and cozy gazebos welcome diners with crafted cocktails, delicious wines and beers and a menu that celebrates the hot weather ahead. Most spots have accessible seating but call ahead to confirm if your furry friend can join you. Also, check socials and websites for restaurant's summer schedules of live performances and events. Whether you want a chili dog, an elevated dinner or something in between, many kitchens are focusing on locally grown and produced ingredients. You'll also find glasses and pitchers filled with sophisticated zero-proof or regular cocktails, beers or coffee drinks. In Cambridge, you can sip a Moment of Zen cocktail on The Blackshop's patio. They offer dishes like Nashville chicken sliders and sushi cubes from their social hour $8 bar bites menu. In Elora, enjoy the staff's favourite beef souvlaki under The Friendly Society's streetside zebra-striped umbrellas and have a Strawberry-Basil Smash. When Bardō Guelph's summer menu launches, they'll have produce from their Millgrove farm in dishes like the Mexican Street Corn pizza, and drinks like a Passionfruit Sour. Thanks to careful design, visitors won't feel crowded on the outdoor space at Waterloo's Bodega Rose. The kitchen is putting their final touches on the summer menu, but they offer a White Lotus and Rosé French 75, with new featured cocktails appearing every weekend. "We usually just base it off of what the weather is going to be, if there's events going on," explained Marshall Ward, Bodega Rose's front of house beverage manager. "For example, when Taylor Swift was in Toronto [last November] we did a whole week of Taylor Swift-themed cocktails." There's a garden-like patio tucked behind downtown Guelph's Miijidaa Café and Bistro. There, you can enjoy thin-crust pizzas or a venison burger as well as a Berries In Bloom cocktail. Still in Guelph, The Wooly will host Woolystock from June 20 to 22, to celebrate their 35th anniversary. You can enjoy the music and festivities from their porch, patio or biergarten. In Ayr, Willibald's patio overlooks the farm that inspires their menu. Some of their cocktails, like Rhubarb Rhubarb and the zero-proof Never-Grow Old, feature Ontario honey. At Fergus's Brewhouse on the Grand, you can get a table overlooking the river or hear it rush by from one of their new gazebos. It's an idyllic setting with an elderberry cocktail or a Thai Coconut Curry. With a new menu in the works, Guelph's Royal City Brewing will be adding mango and pineapple to their Berserker sour series, and a non-alcoholic citrus Radler. Kitchener's TWB's patio will reopen in mid-June and will continue hosting events and alternating food pop-ups by Kojo's Kitchen and Lord of the Tacos. They're launching a Pride beer and The Kultrun Raspberry Wheat this summer, and offering Willibald cocktails and Backed by Bees Mead. While it's not a brewery, uptown Waterloo's Hop House has dozens of beers to enjoy on their patio to go with their summery handhelds and options like blackened chicken with coconut rice. The Stockyards Brew Hall Restaurant, across from the St. Jacobs Market has a 250-seat patio. Selections from K-W Craft Cider joins their house-made brews, to perfectly pair with the restaurant's upcoming barbecue-themed menu. Elora's Lobby Bar is preparing for their first patio, where you can enjoy their Asian-inspired small plate menu. Their cocktails include the Mark and Marty gin cocktail, named after Elora Distillery's co-owners. Looking out over Roos Island in Kitchener's Victoria Park, the Boathouse DTK's cantilevered patio's next phase is expected to be completed in July. "It will have an outdoor bar as well as a smoker and grill area," explained operations manager, Shawn Flanagan. "We're going to create a little bit of an event [when construction is over]—a little party kind of atmosphere to introduce ourselves," he said. It's a perfect sunny spot for an evolving menu that mashes up familiar park concession food, elevated local dishes and barbecue to go with cocktails that capture the season. LISTEN | :

Ginny and Georgia season 3 ending explained: Theories on what will happen after cliffhanger
*Spoilers alert* Cancel all your weekend plans. Ginny & Georgia series three just dropped, and it's the most binge-worthy season of all. To quickly recap, series two ended with Georgia getting arrested for the murder of Tom Fuller. In peak Netflix drama fashion, the police crashed her wedding to Mayor Paul Randolph and read Georgia her rights during their first dance. As for the final scenes? They closed the show with Georgia at the police station, having her mugshots taken in her wedding dress. Now, with 10 new episodes picking up right where things left off (plus plenty of other intense subplots), there is *so* much to unpack. From whether or not Georgia is convicted of the crime, to where her relationship with Paul stands, the season three content makes for a pretty epic finale. Carry on reading to find out what happens at the end of Ginny & Georgia series three. Sarah Lampert, Ginny & Georgia's creator, recently spoke to Deadline about the series in general and the bombshell ending. She said: "For season three, the question I asked is, 'What would it take to break Georgia?' And I mean that coming from a place of love for Georgia, because I think she needs to break to build. So season 3 was about getting her to a place of being able to build her back differently in season 4." With that, as the season progresses, we see Georgia grapple with her new reality: that she actually might get sent to prison for her crimes. Or at least just one of them. If you remember, at the end of episode four, Gabriel, the private investigator hired to expose Georgia's secrets in series two, tells the jury that he thinks they're dealing with a serial killer. And of course, he's not wrong. But in true Georgia style, she finds a way to potentially change her fate. With the help of Ginny (who makes more questionable decisions than ever this season), the mother-daughter duo convince Georgia's younger son, Austin, to pin the murder on his dad, Gil. Ginny tells her brother that if their mother goes to prison, Gil, who has a history of being abusive, is going to move him away to Michigan. As Ginny puts it, he has to "choose between his mom and his dad" going to prison. After showing Austin a bruise on her arm inflicted by Gil, Georgia adds: "It's a murder trial, we have to give them a murderer." They also create a motive: that Austin overheard Georgia and Cynthia (Tom's wife) talking about how they blocked Gil's apartment application, so that he could be closer to his son. (For those who remember, this is partially true - Cynthia made it happen after witnessing Gil become violent toward Georgia at their kids' school.) Ultimately, Austin decides that he doesn't want to be split from Ginny and Georgia, and takes the stand as the only witness. He commits perjury, telling the jury that Gil was the person responsible for killing Tom. Prior to this, Ginny also convinces Cynthia to go along with this story. At first, Cynthia rejects the idea, but after Ginny blackmails her - she says she has evidence of her and Joe's affair on the cameras at Blue Farm - she concedes. After lying to the jury, Cynthia finds out that Ginny was also lying: the cafe doesn't have cameras, so she couldn't physically prove their affair. Because of this, at the end of the season, we see Georgia walk free. Cue a potential storyline where Cynthia seeks revenge on Ginny. Despite Georgia skipping jail time, the whole charade takes its toll on Paul. And when Georgia makes a truly unforgivable decision - telling Paul she's pregnant with Ginny's positive pregnancy test, which is a whole other story - he finally divorces her. But here's the twist. During the final moments of the last episode, Georgia drinks from a regular milk bottle. Though this sounds like an insignificant detail, Ginny reminds her that this was one of her pregnancy symptoms. The only problem? We don't know who the father is, because Georgia had slept with Paul and Joe around the same time. Err, major cliffhanger alert. In another turn of events, Lampert explained: "I know whose baby she's carrying, but I went into the writer's room this season and I said, 'Here's who the daddy is,'" before changing her mind. The creator also said that Georgia is "single as a Pringle" at the end of the season. As for Ginny, who fell pregnant with Wolfe's baby (the guy from her poetry class), the season ends with her dealing with her relationship with Marcus. During the 10 episodes, we see Marcus struggling with depression and addiction, alongside his on-and-off relationship with Ginny. Though the pair confess their love to each other, Ginny realises that she needs to let Marcus focus on himself before they can be together. We already know that Ginny & Georgia was renewed for season four. So right now, it's unclear whether a season five is on the horizon. However, Lampert said that there is still so much story left to tell. She revealed: "I always thought it would end at season four, just because I knew what the ending was, let's say. But what we're finding in the writers' room for this season is that there's actually more there. "It would almost feel rushed to get to that ending for it to happen in four [seasons]. I'm not Netflix. I can't control whether or not there's a season five, but I would say what we discovered very early on is, oh, there's more story here." Oh, you're killing us here!
