‘Kerala Crime Files' returns with Season 2 on JioHotstar

Following the tremendous success of its debut season, the critically acclaimed Malayalam crime thriller Kerala Crime Files is back with a gripping new instalment. Titled Kerala Crime Files Season 2 - The Search for CPO Ambili Raju, the much-anticipated series will premiere on June 20 on JioHotstar.
This season dives into the haunting mystery surrounding the sudden disappearance of a police officer, promising a darker and more intense storyline. The recently released trailer has already stirred excitement across social media, offering chilling glimpses into the murky depths of a police investigation that unearths dark, hidden secrets.
The series is penned by Bahul Ramesh, the writer behind the critically lauded box office hit Malayalam movie Kishkinda Kandam. Far from a straightforward whodunit, the narrative hints at deeper power struggles and internal conflicts within the force.
As the search unfolds, the trailer suggests a shadowy game played behind closed doors--one riddled with secrets, betrayal, and manipulation. With its dark tone and suspenseful mood, the trailer promises a deeper, more intense season that pushes Kerala Crime Files into bold new territory.
The disappearance of CPO Ambili Raju, a respected officer, becomes the central mystery, but the trailer suggests this is just the tip of the iceberg. With cryptic voice-overs and disturbing visuals, it teases themes of police brutality, systemic rot, and moral ambiguity.
The background score by Hesham Abdul Wahab adds to the unease, with haunting notes amplifying the suspense. Returning to the investigation are fan favourites SI Manoj Sreedharan and CI Kurian Avaran, portrayed once again by Aju Varghese and Lal, respectively.
The second season also introduces a stellar ensemble cast, featuring Arjun Radhakrishnan, Indrans, Harisree Asokan, Noorin Shereef, and acclaimed filmmaker Jeo Baby, all making their debut in the series.

Directed by Ahammed Khabeer and written by Bahul Ramesh, the series is produced under the Monkey Business banner by Hassan Rasheed, Ahammed Khabeer, and Jithin Stanislaus. The technical team includes Jithin Stanislaus as the cinematographer, Mahesh Bhuvanend as the editor, and Hesham Abdul Wahab handling the music.

Special Ops 2 Trailer: Kay Kay Menon is back as RAW officer Himmat Singh to prevent cyber-terrorism, Watch

Ace filmmaker Neeraj Pandey is gearing up for the release of the second season of his hit show ' Special Ops' . On Monday, he treated the audience to an intriguing trailer of the upcoming season, which stars Kay Kay Menon, Prakash Raj, Vinay Pathak, Karan Tacker, Saiyami Kher, Muzammil Ibrahim, Gautami Kapoor, Parmeet Sethi, and Kali Prasad Mukherjee. With Kay Kay Menon reprising his iconic role as R&AW officer Himmat Singh, the makers promise a deeper, darker, and more urgent mission than ever before. This time, he fights to prevent cyber-terrorism, led by Tahir Raj Bhasin, who will be seen as the antagonist. Cyber-Terrorism vs. Himmat Singh in Special Ops 2 On what fans can expect from 'Special Ops 2', Neeraj Pandey, in a press note, said, 'This season reflects the times we live in, where the enemy doesn't announce their arrival. The new-age warfare has altered everything we know about threat, security, and sacrifice. Special Ops 2 is about the war we don't see, until it hits home. It's a reminder that in today's world, the greatest battles are fought without a single bullet fired, but the damage runs just as deep.' Kay Kay Menon also opened up about reprising his iconic character of Himmat Singh. 'Himmat Singh has always fought with grit, intellect, and instinct. But this time, the war isn't visible. The stakes are bigger, the threats more unpredictable and that made this season both relevant and deeply personal to portray. There's a quiet burden Himmat carries of duty, of sacrifice, of knowing more than he can say. This chapter allowed me to explore not just the strategist, but the man behind the mission, the father, the patriot, the constant protector.' Director Shivam Nair added, 'With Special Ops 2.0, we've truly raised the bar–in scale, storytelling, and intensity. This season dives into a world where intelligence operations collide with the fast-changing landscape of AI, digital warfare, and cybersecurity. It's not just thrilling–it's timely. Reuniting with Neeraj Pandey has been creatively rewarding, and together, we've built something that feels both urgent and cinematic.'Karan Tacker also shared how his character of Farooq Ali has evolved over the years.'Farooq has evolved and so has the mission. This season forced us to think beyond guns and disguises. The tension lies in not knowing where the next hit will come from because the enemy is invisible. I'm incredibly proud to be back'. Tahir Raj Bashin, who will be seen as an antagonist in the show, said, 'Joining the world of Special Ops has been an electricfying adrenalin rush. This role pushed me emotionally and physically. Speaking of the character, what makes this antagonist exciting to portray is how layered and rooted in the real world he is. He doesn't need guns, he uses code, data, and people's blind trust. That's what makes him truly dangerous! He doesn't belong to fiction, he exists in the world we live in today'. 'Special Ops 2' will be out out on JioHotstar on July 11.

Rajeev Khandelwal Recalls Wife Manjiri Crying After Wedding News Leaked In Newspaper: 'Her Parents...'

Last Updated: Rajeev Khandelwal reveals how his wife Manjiri Kamtikar cried after their wedding news was leaked in the media, shocking her parents. Rajeev Khandelwal, fondly remembered as the heartthrob Sujal from the hit 2000s TV show Kahiin Toh Hoga, recently opened up about a deeply personal chapter from his life — the early days of his relationship with his now-wife, Manjiri Kamtikar, and the emotional storm that followed their love being thrust into the public eye. In a candid chat with Zoom, the actor reflected on how their relationship, which they had kept private for years, was suddenly exposed in the media without warning. The timing couldn't have been more difficult — Manjiri's conservative family had no idea she was dating an actor, let alone someone as recognisable as Rajeev. 'When I was hosting Sacch Ka Saamna in 2009, I had already said publicly that I wasn't single. But I hadn't revealed who I was dating because she wasn't from the industry," Rajeev recalled. However, the media wasn't ready to leave the mystery unsolved. 'They found her picture on Facebook, and I was told it was going to be printed," he said. The news shook Manjiri to the core. 'She started crying when she heard her photo would be in the paper. Her parents didn't know anything." Desperate to shield her from the fallout, Rajeev made a direct appeal to the media. He called up the editor and pleaded, 'Please understand, this is a middle-class family." But his requests were dismissed, and the news made its way to print. That morning, knowing the article was about to land in homes across the country, Rajeev took a bold step. 'I secretly got her father's number and messaged him at 6 AM," he revealed. In the message, he introduced himself and gently broke the news before the newspaper could. 'Sir, this is Rajeev Khandelwal. This is going to happen. Here's my number. If you have any concerns, please call me. I want to be man enough to stand up and not hide." Rajeev's honesty struck a chord. While it was a difficult moment, he believes that Manjiri's father appreciated his integrity. 'Till this day, he respects me for sending that message," he shared. Despite the rocky start, love and accountability prevailed. Today, Rajeev and Manjiri share a strong bond built on trust, truth, and courage. On the work front, Rajeev was last seen in The Secret of the Shiledars, which premiered on JioHotstar earlier this year. First Published: June 16, 2025, 21:35 IST
