Teledyne FLIR is lead integrator in modernizing the NBCRV sensor suite system with an improved and autonomous suite of chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) sensors. Among other third-party solutions, the Sensor Suite features the FLIR Defense R80D SkyRaider ™ drone integrated with FLIR's MUVE™ B330 biological detection payload designed for small unmanned aerial systems. Also, a FLIR-developed command and control system combines all devices and platforms with sensor fusion and automation features that reduce cognitive burden and improve decision-making.
Last year, the company delivered initial Sensor Suite upgrade prototypes for government testing, and successful results led to a $168 million production award in November. This new contract calls for FLIR Defense to develop an expanded Sensor Suite upgrade design (Capability Set 2.2), deliver six prototypes, and provide added support for government testing. Among its many improvements, the upgrade will include advanced sensing capabilities, autonomous SkyRaider flight control, and hazard prediction software upgrades.

Palantir Wins Big with $795M Army Deal, Wedbush Upgrades to 'Outperform'
May 27 - Palantir (NASDAQ:PLTR) won a $795 million contract modification from the U.S. Army for its Maven Smart System, boosting the total award to about $1.3 billion. The deal will run through May 2029, with funding and work sites set by individual orders. Wedbush analyst Daniel Ives sees the contract as a fresh catalyst for the big-data firm, moving his rating to Outperform with a $140 price target, about 13% above current levels. Ives noted that federal AI spending may accelerate under new defence priorities, positioning Palantir to benefit from a wave of government contracts. Ives also pointed to prospective work on the Golden Dome air and missile defence project, a Trump-era initiative budgeted at $175 billion over three years, with $25 billion proposed for 2026. – Innovative, dual-layer micromesh, closed-cell stent with the flexibility of an open-cell stent for maximizing clinical outcomes in carotid artery stenting procedures – SOMERSET, N.J., May 27, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Terumo Interventional Systems (TIS), a division of Terumo Corporation, is pleased to announce the early commercial availability of its FDA-approved ROADSAVER™ Carotid Stent System. Indicated for use with the Nanoparasol® Embolic Protection System, ROADSAVER Stent System addresses carotid artery stenosis in patients with increased risk of adverse events following carotid endarterectomy. ROADSAVER Stent System is the only carotid artery stenting (CAS) device with an innovative, dual-layer micromesh. It is designed as a closed-cell stent with the flexibility of an open-cell stent, providing increased flexibility and wall apposition in complex anatomies. It is also the first dual-layer micromesh carotid stent approved in the United States, and the only carotid stent system designed to contain plaque to the vessel wall and prevent plaque protrusion, protecting against distal embolization.
