A source was quoted saying, 'The film requires 600 days of post-production work, which in itself speaks volumes about the investment required to create some of the most original visuals.' And now, as per reports, this is the star-studded ensemble of the magnum opus: STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD Ranbir Kapoor – Lord Ram Sai Pallavi – Sita Yash – Ravana Sunny Deol – Hanuman Ravi Dubey – Lakshman Lara Dutta – Kaikeyi Rakul Preet Singh – Shurpanakha Kajal Aggarwal – Mandodari Amitabh Bachchan – Jatayu Anil Kapoor – King Janak (rumoured) Mohit Raina – Lord Shiva Vikrant Massey – Meghnad Kunal Kapoor – Lord Indra Vivek Oberoi – Vidyutjihva Arun Govil – King Dasharath Adinath Kothare – Bharat Ramya Krishnan – Kaushalya (rumoured) Sheeba Chaddha – Sumitra (rumoured) Bobby Deol – Kumbhakaran (rumoured) The entire cast is yet to be confirmed by the makers but this looks ambitious indeed. But they also want to make sure they don't assign a budget that would be impossible to recover.'

Amitabh Bachchan charged just Rs 1 for this film, later it became blockbuster, earned Rs 90 crore, budget was Rs…, lead actors were…

In the glitzy world of Bollywood, fame and fortune always go hand in hand. Well, the prominent the star, the higher the paycheck is. Actors usually charge crores for a single film, but rarely do we get to see a star who chose relationships over remuneration. One such remarkable story is that of megastar Amitabh Bachchan for his 2000 superhit film Mohabbatein. Helmed by Aditya Chopra, the film starred Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya in lead roles, alongside a supporting cast that includes Uday Chopra, Shamita Shetty, Jugal Hansraj, Kim Sharma, Jimmy Sheirgill, and Preeti Jhangiani. Mohabbatein was a huge success both critically as well as commercially. Surprisingly, what made the film more memorable was that Amitabh Bachchan charged just Rs 1 to portray the role of Narayan Shankar in the film. Yes, you heard that right. The times when stars negotiate for their salaries, Amitabh Bachchan asked for just Rs 1 . Well, there is a heartwarming story regarding why Big B charged just Rs 1 for Mohabbatein. When Yash Chopra and Amitabh Bachchan collaborated for cult-classic Silsila, he asked Big B how much money he wants. To this, Big B responded, 'I want more because I want to buy a house.' He then made sure to give Big B the desired amount and fulfilled his wish. However, for Mohabbatein, when Yash Chopra asked the same question to Big B about his fees, he said, 'You gave me what I asked for last time. This time I will take only Rs 1 for the film.' And he stood by it. Made on a staggering budget of Rs 19 crore , Mohabbatein earned Rs 90 crore and became one of the highest-grossers of the year. Although today, Amitabh Bachchan might be charging a lot for his roles, but for Mohabbatein charging just Rs 1 shows that he is not just a prolific actor but also a generous human being.
