SB Hot List: 12 Game-Changing Discoveries

As another sweltering month starts to wind down, we're sharing some of the hottest items on our radar right now. From products we've added to our makeup bag to Amazon finds we can't stop gushing about, we're sharing a peek into Monday morning conversations among the StyleBlueprint team. Here's this month's edition of the SB Hot List! This article contains product affiliate links. We may receive a commission if you make a purchase after clicking on one of these links. Diyana Impex Cloth Napkins 'I was at a friend's house for dinner, and her colorful little cloth napkins totally stole the show (that and her sassy brood of chickens!). I went straight home and ordered my own. Napkins. Not chickens. They're perfect for dressing up a casual meal, adding charm to picnics and barbecues, and — bonus — cutting down on paper towel waste. With fun patterns and vibrant colors, these are an easy way to make any meal feel a little more fancy (and eco-friendly).' — Jenna Bratcher, Lead Nashville Writer & Associate Editor Pin LIGHT FLIGHT Travel Backpack 'I used to travel with a massive purse, but this backpack was a game-changer! With my laptop, notebooks, books, snacks, and accessories, it's super lightweight, and as someone who loves to stay organized, there are so many compartments to make organization easy. I never have to fumble for my phone, passport, or charger — each has its own dedicated spot! It comes in 11 different colors and can slip easily onto your carry-on.' — Kate Feinberg, Associate Editor & Sponsored Content Specialist Pin Yoto Mini 'My cousin recommended the Yoto Mini, and it's my favorite new find for kids. It lets my kids pick stories to listen to at bedtime without having to use a device (and me having to worry about how they are using a device at bedtime). You can get a ton of stories and music on their little cards, or you can buy cards to record your own. I'm asking the grandparents to read aloud stories that they love.' — Sarah Finklea, Sales Operations Manager Cable Management Box 'I have some unsightly cords and powerstrips, and I have finally covered them up using these baskets. I chose a color that matches my wood floors, so they almost disappear. For less than $20 on Amazon, these are great!' — Liza Graves, CEO & Founder Fishwife Tinned Fish 'Tinned seafood is on-trend, and my current obsession is Fishwife. They offer a wide variety of flavors and preparations — think albacore tuna in spicy olive oil, mussels in basil pesto, and smoked salmon with chili crisp. You can serve with grazing boards, in rice bowls, on crackers … there are so many uses. Plus, the packaging is cute and colorful, making this a GREAT go-to for hostess gifts. If you're new to tinned seafood, I recommend the starter pack, but they have a wide variety of other options, and their shipments even come with a clever little box of toothpicks for serving!' — Alissa Harb, Managing Editor Travel Makeup Mirror 'I've landed on the world's best travel mirror. This one packs tightly, has two different height adjustments, three light settings, and dimming capabilities. Plus, it makes for the perfect back-to-school gift!' — Anne Marie Hanna, Marketing Coordinator & Editorial Assistant Side by Side Chai Mix 'I've been loving this chai mix from Side by Side Chai. It's made in Nashville, and I bought it at White's Mercantile. It's been such a nice treat in the mornings (I'm not a huge coffee drinker) and has made me even more excited for fall.' — Hailey Cunningham, Account Executive Sleeveless Maxi Dress 'I bought this dress when I was nine months pregnant, and it's SO flattering even with a bump. But even if you're not expecting, it looks great on any body type and is a perfect transition piece. Throw on a jacket, sweater, sneakers, or sandals. Plus, it's so comfy!' — Katelyn Caughron, Client Relations & Social Media Coordinator YSE Wide Awake Eye Cream ' YSE Wide Awake Brightening Eye Cream is a total game-changer! It instantly hydrates and brightens my skin, leaving my under-eyes fresh and awake. I use it every morning — the cooling applicator, brightening boost, and burst of moisture make my tired eyes look revived in seconds.' — Caroline Neely, Account Executive Aplós Chili Margarita Mocktail 'I was recently visiting family in Minnesota when I spotted a pack of Aplós mocktails in my mom's fridge. I'm a margarita lover through and through, so I immediately opted for the chili margarita. Poured into a fancy glass over ice, it's the perfect pick-me-up — equal parts refreshing and delicious. Bonus: The brand offers other fun twists on other classic cocktails, too!' — Brianna Goebel, Sponsored Content Manager & Associate Editor Aritzia Scoopneck Cami Tank 'I am OBSESSED with these Aritzia tanks. They're so flattering and comfortable. Perfect for wearing on their own during this August heat or for layering during transition weather.' — Bailey Torkelson, Marketing Manager Havaianas Flatform Sandals 'The Havaianas Flatform Flip Flops are my summer go‑to: comfortable, durable, and featuring a chunky sole I love. They're the perfect addition to any hot‑weather outfit.' — Madison Huskey, Digital Account Coordinator

The chicest black summer looks to wear now

The Curator independently decides what topics and products we feature. When you purchase an item through our links, we may earn a commission. Promotions and products are subject to availability and retailer terms. Forever the Cool Girl cousin, black reeks of fashion. And sometimes throwing a darker hue into your wardrobe mix (in a summer-weighted fabric like linen) can both ground your look and elevate it at the same time. Have you heard my favourite saying? 'I'll stop wearing black when they invent a darker colour.' Tailored and Timeless Right on cue for the August return of upscale academia, a pleated skirt with simple lace-up brogues and a black twin set is equal parts fetching and fashion. Thank you yet again, Demi Moore. Story continues below advertisement Amazon Essentials Women's Vee Cardigan Do not break the bank on a simple black cardi. I chose a 'V' cut here – but roll with your neckline preference. $28.6 on Amazon SHAPERMINT High Compression Womens Top Affordable, effective shapewear worn as a tank is the best kind of double dip. Sizes up to 4-X Large. $34 on Amazon Pleated Skirt A smidge shorter than Demi's iteration (plus this one has an elastic waist at the back – woot), but you get the drift. And inky navy and jet-black is one of my most adored pairings in the Pantone universe, btw. $25.90 at Zara Story continues below advertisement Oversized Handbag Clearly giving retro Balenciaga Le City bag vibes, and I'm completely here for it. Extra points if you clip a charm (or like, four) onto the handles. $55 on Amazon You may also like: Laneige Lip Glowy Balm – $25.50 Gold Polished Chunky Twisted Waterdrop Bangle – $19.99 FunkyMonkey Women's Comfort Slides – $39.99 Proportions, proportions… When it comes to injecting a little edge thanks to summer black, proportion-playing is a clever way to shake things up. Translation? Test drive a blousy chemise with bike shorts (below) or perhaps a high-waisted balloon pant with a fitted tank is the move. Either way? You'll add dimension plus drama. Story continues below advertisement Braided Leather Slingback Ballet Flats These slingbacks are equal parts ballet and jelly – and both are trends I'm loving right now. $109 at Zara Home Weweya Pillow Slippers A cloud-inspired buckle sandal adds a touch of street style (not to mention height if you're 5'2, like moi). $21.99 on Amazon (was $29.99) Women's Short Puff Sleeve Top Never have I ever met a puff-sleeve I didn't like. Be sure to try a laissez-faire French front tuck on this cutie. $19.5 on Amazon (was $30.67) Story continues below advertisement Golden LIFE Atmosphere Hi-Rise 7-inch Shorts The LIFE Atmosphere Hi-rise 7' bike short from Aritzia has become a sweat-wicking gold standard. $58 at Aritzia You may also like: Women's Sleeveless Slim Fit Ribbed Tank Top – $16.57 Tomtoc Electronics Organizer Travel Case – $27.99 Clear Cosmetics Bag – $26.99 All About Those Add-Ons Don't underestimate how much a giant resin ring in jade green or an oversized fluffy florette pinned to your blazer lapel can take your look from riding-the-pine to centre court in a split second. Story continues below advertisement FEISEDY Sunglasses It's no secret I heart the super-duper eyewear brand Feisedy, and this silhouette and lens tint combo is my current obsession. $20.99 on Amazon 2-Pack Cotton Mesh Bag A simple French market tote adds texture and chic factor. $19.99 on Amazon Handykette Designer Ina Seifart hits the bullseye with her phone necklaces. I've had my neon orange and pink version for a few years now – zero regrets. $115 at Hills Dry Goods Story continues below advertisement Reef Bucket - Fray OK it's not black – but this topper by Lack of Colour will look SO good with a black maxi dress and chunky slides. $149 at Hills Dry Goods You may also like: Oxford Cloth Toiletry Bag – $23.99 Lojel AirTag Holder – $55 Gold Bubble Initial Keychain – $19.99
