The iconic Greggs sausage roll will be immortalised with its own wax model at Madame Tussauds.
A beloved British classic, the pastry will sit alongside the likes of well-known figures such as Sir David Attenborough, Stormzy, and William Shakespeare.
For a limited time, it will be on display at the London wax museum's 'culture capital' section dedicated to 'icons who have helped shape modern British culture'.
The savoury treat will be unveiled at the attraction next week, just in time for National Sausage Roll day on June 5.
It will be placed on a blue velvet cushion accompanied by a commemorative plaque which notes that Greggs was founded in 1951 and that 365 million of its sausage rolls, each with 96 layers of flaky pastry, are bought every year.
The one-of-a-kind replica sausage roll marks the first time an individual food item has ever been given the celebrity treatment.
Greggs' CEO, Rosin Currie said: 'It's a true celebration of a national favourite, and we couldn't think of a more fitting tribute in the lead-up to National Sausage Roll Day.
'Seeing our Sausage Roll receive the celebrity treatment is a proud and slightly surreal moment for all of us at Greggs.'
The plaque notes that Greggs was founded in 1951 and that 365 million of its sausage rolls, each with 96 layers of flaky pastry, are bought every year.
The bakery claims to sell one millions sausage rolls every day, helping Greggs making a pre-tax profit of more than £200 million on last years sales of more than £2 billion.
Its sausage rolls have also felt the effect of inflation with the price shooting up by a staggering 30 per cent since 2021, when it was priced at just £1.
But at the start of 2022 the price rose to £1.05, then £1.10 in May 2022, £1.15 in October 2022 and 1.20 by January 2023.
In 2024, the cost being increased to £1.25 before the bakery chain bumped up against in January by another 5p, meaning it now costs £1.30.
However, this has not stopped the savoury treat from becoming a favourite among the British public.
The wax replica followed the same making-of process as the human figure creations with the Madame Tussauds' team studying dozens of individual sausage rolls to ensure it has been recreated perfectly.
Studio manager at Madame Tussauds London, Jo Kinsey, said: 'The Greggs Sausage Roll is synonymous with British culture – we just had to put it in our Culture Zone.
'Our artists have put in numerous hours to capture every detail of this popular menu item, the pressure was on to capture it perfectly because we know how passionate Brits are about their favourite pastry!
'We took the process very seriously, making this creation the exact same way we make all our figures at the attraction.
'We're delighted to honour its iconic status with a history-making feat – the first time an individual food item has had the honour of having their own figure at Madame Tussauds London.'
Earlier this month, the wax museum unveiled a new model of the Princess of Wales to join replicas of her husband Prince William, and King Charles and Queen Camilla.
The figure is modelled on the outfit the royal wore to the annual Diplomatic Reception at Buckingham Palace in December 2023, the second of King Charles's reign.
Prince William's figure also received a restyling in honour of the new display, now wearing a black Ede and Ravenscroft tuxedo and a white tie.
Madame Tussauds first launched a wax figure of Kate in April 2012, one year on from her wedding to Prince William at Westminster Abbey.
The figure has been 'refreshed from tiara to toe' in honour of the Prince and Princess of Wales, who recently celebrating their 14th wedding anniversary.
Meanwhile, the figures of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were separated from their family in January 2020 after they decided to step back from royal duties.
The waxworks were placed in a new Awards Party zone along with their showbiz friends like George Clooney and then-pals Victoria and David Beckham.
Madame Tussauds is a popular tourist attraction in London, with a reported 10 million guests each year.
It offers fans a chance to take selfies and snaps with their favourite celebrities, if they've been unable to meet them in person.
The life like Sausage Roll will be on display from National Sausage Roll Day, Thursday June 5, throughout the month.

A YouTube star has been hired by a thinktank supportive of Reform UK as it looks to strengthen Nigel Farage's policy agenda, Sky News can reveal. Archie Manners, a comedian and magician who has performed high-profile pranks on celebrities and Just Stop Oil activists, has been hired by Resolute 1850, which is planning to change its name to The Centre for a Better Britain. It is understood the 32-year-old, whose YouTube channel with fellow influencer Josh Pieters amassed more than one million subscribers, has been hired full-time and will provide social media and communications advice. The hiring of Mr Manners, who worked for Mr Farage during the general election campaign, indicates Reform is hoping to expand its already significant reach with young men. While most of Reform's supporters are still older white men, post-election analysis by YouGov found Reform was the third most popular choice for men aged 18-24, alongside the Green Party. Reform has also been quick to engage with social media platforms, including TikTok, which are popular with Gen Z. The party now boasts nearly 400,000 followers - more than any other major political party - while Mr Farage's own personal TikTok now has over a million followers. While independent of Reform, Resolute 1850 has strong links to the party through leading figures, including Jonathan Brown - the thinktank's chief executive and former Reform chief operations officer - who will also seek to raise funds through UK, and possibly, US donors. In its first guise as Resolute 1850 - which the Financial Times reported is a reference to the HMS Resolute Royal Navy ship whose timbers were used to make the US president's desk in the Oval Office - the thinktank said its mission was to "foster stronger transatlantic relationships and more effective governance". Mr Brown told Sky News that Resolute 1850, which is due to launch formally by the autumn, was changing its name to the Centre for a Better Britain because "we wanted to be clear on what it did on the tin". "What we hope to do is set a policy agenda for the centre right which acknowledges the dire financial state the country is in and the errors that have been made around net zero and pretty much every policy the Labour Party and the Conservative Party are pushing forward, and actually have a desire for a radical break with the consensus of the last 20 years," he added. "Our desire is to build up a proper policy base and not be fixated on culture war issues - but to actually look at proper economic fiscal policy, foreign affairs and defence. "There's been a lot of enthusiasm around it." Mr Brown sought to downplay comparisons between his outfit and equivalent US thinktanks that are independent but supportive of US President Donald Trump, saying the UK had its "own challenges and political climate". He said calling Resolute 1850 a British version of MAGA (Make America Great Again) was "easy" but that he "disagreed" with the comparison. 2:22 "The idea that we are some sort of UK branch of a US organisation is not true," he said. "We are independent." Mr Brown added that Resolute 1850 currently had no US donors and that most of its fundraising - understood to be in the region of £1m - had been secured domestically, but that he was open to donations from across the Atlantic. Rumours of US donations to Reform began circulating last year when it was reported that Elon Musk, the billionaire owner of Tesla and X, who has just left his role at the White House, was considering offering $100m (about £80m) to the party. However, the donation has not materialised and the relationship between Mr Farage and Mr Musk appears to have fractured after the tech tycoon called for Rupert Lowe, the ousted Reform MP, to replace Mr Farage as leader. The impending launch of the Centre for a Better Britain comes as Mr Farage looks to build his policy platform following his success at the May local elections, where Reform won control of 10 councils and picked up more than 670 councillors. At a speech on Tuesday, the Reform leader vowed to reverse cuts to winter fuel payments and scrap the two-child benefit cap while also outlining his ambition to increase the personal allowance from the current £12,750 to £20,000 year - something the Institute of Fiscal Studies suggest could cost between £50bn to £80bn a year. Mr Farage has argued such policies can be paid for through scrapping net zero commitments and by ending the use of asylum hotels - but Sir Keir Starmer said they would be "Liz Truss all over again". "He set out economic plans which contain billions upon billions of completely unfunded spending," the prime minister said last Thursday. "Precisely the sort of irresponsible splurge that sent your mortgage costs, your bills and the cost of living through the roof."

Jon Pearce praised the Government for proposing a suite of new powers which councils can use to run their own bus routes and prevent companies from pulling 'socially necessary' services. Transport Secretary Heidi Alexander said the Bus Services (No. 2) Bill, which secured a second reading on Monday, would 'streamline' the franchising process when authorities bid to set up London-style networks, and would better secure 'lifeline routes' elsewhere. 'In part thanks to a TikTok craze to photograph sunset and sunrise over Mam Tor, communities where I live in High Peak have been plagued by illegal parking,' Labour's Mr Pearce told the Commons. The 517 metre-high hill in Derbyshire has become popular on social media, with several videos filmed at the landmark racking up more than 100,000 likes on TikTok. Mr Pearce continued: 'I'm co-ordinating a response to these issues with local stakeholders like the Peak park, police and councils, and a key tranche of what we need to do is deliver better bus services that are integrated with local train services. 'This Bill will transfer powers away from Westminster and empower local communities to take decisions necessary for our commuters to get to work, our students to get to college, our vulnerable to access the healthcare they need, and our honeypot villages to manage tourism sustainably.' Gritting crews were unable to reach a Peak District road near the hill earlier this year after more than 200 cars were double parked on it, according to Derbyshire County Council, and Mr Pearce previously wrote to authorities, when he warned that emergency services had been obstructed. The Bill would give councils the power to set up franchised bus networks to regulate routes, timetables, fares and vehicle standards, without the need for ministers' permission. Ms Alexander said the Government is 'fixing the broken' franchising process and told MPs: 'Proposed schemes need to jump through a myriad of hoops and they still require my consent to proceed, which is odd to say the least. 'The idea that I understand more what passengers in Leicestershire or Cornwall need than their local leaders is for the birds. In December, we opened up franchising to every local authority and now through this Bill we will further streamline the process making it simpler for franchise schemes to be granted and assessed.' Ms Alexander said the franchising model 'won't work everywhere', and added: 'That's why this Bill also strengthens enhanced partnerships and removes the ideological ban on establishing new local authority bus companies. 'Furthermore, by giving local authorities the power to design and pay bus operator grants in their areas, this Bill gives greater protections for socially necessary local services – securing those lifeline routes that keep communities connected.' Pressed about funding to local authorities for the £3 bus fare cap, Ms Alexander said: 'There is a spending review under way but I can confirm that I fully appreciate the importance of an affordable and accessible bus route.' Ms Alexander also said the Government will 'press pause' on so-called floating bus stops 'perceived to be poorly designed', amid concerns over accessibility issues and potential hazards for visually impaired people and others. Liberal Democrat transport spokesman Paul Kohler said the Bill 'rightly lifts the outdated, ideologically driven ban on municipally owned bus companies, empowering local authorities who wish to use it, rather than infantilising them' and added that 'it is not and must not become a one-size-fits-all approach'. He added: 'Empowering local authorities in law is one thing. Enabling them in practice is quite another. 'Whilst this Bill hands councils a set of keys to a new bus network, it doesn't ensure there's fuel in the tank.' Conservative shadow transport secretary Gareth Bacon earlier said improvements for passengers 'simply won't happen' without more Treasury money. He said: 'The Bill does not prioritise passengers and there is nothing in it that guarantees an improvement in service standards. 'The truth is that this Bill appears to be driven by political nostalgia. It is in many ways a thinly veiled attempt to recreate the municipal model of the pre-1986 era without fully considering the financial and operational realities of today.' The Bill will undergo further scrutiny in the Commons at a later date.
