Geese, the New York rock band featuring singer-keyboardist Cameron Winter, have announced a North American tour. Set to take place this autumn, the Getting Killed Tour is the biggest run of headlining shows in their career. Check out the full list of tour dates below.
Beginning on October 10, in Burlington, Vermont, the Getting Killed Tour will bring Geese across most of the United States and to two Canadian cities. It's currently set to end just before Thanksgiving, on November 21, in Brooklyn, New York. Opening select legs on the tour are Racing Mount Pleasant and Dove Ellis.
Geese are gearing up to release their as-yet-untitled third album and follow-up to 2023's 3D Country. In the period since then, the band shared an EP of unreleased songs from those same recording sessions, dubbed 4D Country, and Cameron Winter put out his excellent solo debut, Heavy Metal, in December 2024. Shortly afterward, Geese shrunk down to a quartet, with guitarist Foster Hudson departing the band to pursue his 'academic endeavors.'

Mom Finds Photo Taken During Labor—No One Prepared for What It Shows
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. A Canadian mom-to-be rediscovered a photo of herself she had captured during labor, but no one could guess what it showed. Katelyn Eagleson (@kate_eagleson) from Vernon, British Columbia, shared online how she went into labor on Halloween dressed head-to-toe as the Grinch—green makeup, Santa suit and even holding an onion. Eagleson revealed her full costume mid-labor, lying in a hospital bed in a post on TikTok. The text overlay reads: "Wheeled in in a full Santa suit too because I was trying to steal Christmas." Eagleson, who was 19 at the time, told Newsweek she was inspired to share the pictures because of a TikTok trend called "late night finds." From left: Katelyn Eagleson takes a photo of herself in a mirror; and lays dressed as The Grinch wearing a hospital gown. From left: Katelyn Eagleson takes a photo of herself in a mirror; and lays dressed as The Grinch wearing a hospital gown. @kate_eagleson The labor itself began in the most-unexpected way. Eagleson was in the middle of trick-or-treating with her brother, Samuel, when she started contractions. She called her husband, Colton Eagleson, who dropped Samuel at home and then drove to the hospital. That is when the hilarity began. "It was really hard for me to walk, so my husband grabbed me a wheelchair, and I wheeled into the emergency room in full costume," Katelyn said. "We couldn't stop laughing because I was dressed up, and other people in the ER started laughing, too." Her due date wasn't until November 28, nearly a month away, so Katelyn was shocked to be heading into labor. Nurses at Vernon Jubilee Hospital in British Columbia were equally surprised—and amused. "They tried not to, but I couldn't stop laughing, and I told them they were absolutely allowed to because it made me feel more comfortable and made the experience more fun," Katelyn said. She even let the nurses take pictures, and one snapped her laughing through a contraction while trying to smile for the camera. Katelyn's post has over 7.1 million views and a further 1.1 million likes. Over 8,200 users couldn't cope with the mom's story in the comments. "I think you had an original experience," one user posted. "And then imagine the face while pushing for the baby omg [oh my God]," another added. Katelyn was admitted at 4 centimeters dilated and remained in labor for 18 days of contractions before giving birth to her daughter, Olivia Eagleson, on November 18. "By then, I was not in Grinch makeup," Katelyn added. TikTok users agree Katelyn's labor wasn't as she imagined, but will have a lasting impact. As a third TikTok user put it, "Trying to steal Christmas, but ended up stealing our hearts."

Box Office: ‘Nobody 2' Picks Up $1.3 Million in Thursday Previews
'Nobody 2' picked up $1.3 million in preview screenings on Thursday as the action sequel heads into an opening weekend that will see it face off against 'Weapons.' The film, which brings back Bob Odenkirk as a typical suburbanite who racks up a serious body count when not driving a minivan, is projected to earn between $10 million to $12 million from 3,200 North American theaters. That would best the $6.8 million opening of the first 'Nobody,' but it's worth remembering that the 2021 original opened when cinemas were just coming back after being shut down during COVID. 'Nobody' went on to earn $27 million domestically and $57 million worldwide while becoming a popular title on premium video-on-demand platforms. His side hustle as a mercenary has put a strain on his marriage and left him missing family events. Sharon Stone co-stars as a mob boss with a few screws loose — her gang of bootleggers toggles with Hutch, threatening to ruin everyone's R&R. 'Nobody 2' was modestly budgeted at $25 million. The first film carried a $16 million price tag. Universal produced and distributed the sequel. 'Nobody 2' will likely be no match for 'Weapons,' a twisty horror film from Warner Bros. and New Line that opened to a smashing $43.5 million last weekend. It's continued to be a box office winner throughout the week and should top charts with $20 million to $22 million in its sophomore outing. This weekend's other new release, Spike Lee's crime thriller 'Highest 2 Lowest,' will debut in roughly 300 screens. It's a remake of Akira Kurosawa's 1963 classic 'High and Low.' Denzel Washington stars as a music mogul who gets tangled up in a ransom plot. Apple backed the film which A24 is releasing in theaters before it debuts on Apple TV+ on Sept. 5. Critics have largely embraced the picture, with Variety's Peter Debruge writing that the film's 'sensational third act more than justifies what might have seemed an unnecessary update.' Prince William, Kate Middleton's Move Forces Families Out of Homes
There's even more drama when it comes to Kate Middleton and Prince William's upcoming move to Forest Lodge. To catch everyone up, rumor has it that Kate and William are ditching their relatively new home, Adelaide Cottage, for what's essentially a giant mansion in Great Windsor Park. And on top of reports that King Charles is "fuming" at the couple's move thanks to how expensive it'll be, there's drama due to the move forcing multiple families out of their homes. According to the Daily Mail, two families who live in nearby cottages were asked to "vacate their properties." Their homes were originally stables for the lodge, and were rented out by the Crown Estate—meaning the royals are essentially evicting the families. As for their reaction, apparently everyone was "surprised" to hear the news, and have relocated to "similar or better" housing elsewhere in Great Windsor Park. Per a source, "They were told to move out. I guess they were given somewhere else, but they were told they had to move. They were not expecting it. Those houses are very close to the lodge, so they're not going to want any Tom, Dick or Harry living in those houses if there are going to be royals there." The Daily Mail notes that Forest Lodge has been a "hive of activity" lately, with builders, privacy screens, and "new shrubs being planted in its grounds." They also report that William and Kate are paying for the move themselves. As a reminder, the couple were initially reported to be moving to Fort Belvedere, but it's allegedly been leased to a Canadian billionaire who renewed their contract earlier this year, meaning Kate and William were fresh outta luck.
