The Ant-Man star revealed her accident and subsequent hospital dash when she uploaded a post onto her Instagram page on Friday.
Sharing a slew of snaps where she looked blooded and bruised, Evangeline told her fans how she had fainted while enjoying a day at the beach.
Fainting and falling face-first into a boulder, Evangeline - who is known for her work in Marvel movies - was then rushed to hospital.
Alongside the selection of graphic snaps showcasing her injuries, the TV actress revealed all.
"I fainted at the beach. And fell face first into a boulder," she explained.
She continued: "At the hospital, the nurses and doctor went straight into action, more determined to find the cause of my blackout than to stitch up the hole punctured into my face by the rock.
"I smiled wryly at them. 'You won't find anything.' I said with a woozy voice..." she added.
She then wrote more about the ordeal in a Substack post where she detailed "absent" and "fainting spells" since she was little.
Evangeline even revealed how she was checked for epilepsy before the doctors settling for a diagnosis of hypoglycemia without doing any tests.
"For a good chunk of my life, I went with that – hypoglycemia. It added up — my metabolism is through the roof and I metabolize sugars, particularly, with [shocking] efficiency," she explained, as per Us Weekly.
The actress then said that the cause of her blackouts remain a mystery.
She went on: "I have come to believe that this 'checking out' is a result of my little soul reaching her limit of what she feels she can cope with in this life, and she 'leaves the building,' so to speak."
Evangeline later penned: "That when she has had enough, when the pain becomes too great, the stresses beyond overwhelming, the shattered idealism crushing, my soul exits my body and returns to pure spirit."
Fans flocked to the Instagram post, which promoted her full Substack post, to share their well wishes with Evangeline.
"Oh my goodness Evangeline! I am sending you all of the healing energy in the world. Take it easy! We're all here for you," penned one.
Another added: "Thank you so much for talking about this. Thinking of you."
And a third wrote: "Hope you're feeling better and heal up quickly inside and out."
Underneath the post, Lilly penned: "Thank you all for your beautiful well wishes."
Evangeline's hospital dash and health update comes after she announced she was retiring from acting.
Last year, after 20 years on screen, Evangeline said: "I am so filled with joy and contentment today as I live out my vision.
"Praise God, I feel so grateful for my blessings. Stepping away from what seems like the obvious choice (wealth and fame) can feel scary at times, but stepping into your dharma replaces the fear with fulfillment."
She then added: "I might return to Hollywood one day, but, for now, this is where I belong.
"A new season has arrived, and I AM READY...and I AM HAPPY."

‘Who raised you?!' Home cook slammed after sharing attempt at Italian dish – but can you tell what it's meant to be?

THERE'S nothing better than tucking into a tasty homecooked meal, and it's even better if it's a traditional recipe. But one home cook left people scratching their heads after they revealed their attempt at a particular classic dish. 4 4 Despite their best efforts, the food turned out nothing like you would expect, and some people even questioned what they meal was supposed to be in the first place. This came after the wannabe chef took to Facebook to show off their concoction with a picture from before it went into the over and after. "How do you make lasagne, mine came out crispy as hell and I want it soft, please help," the Facebook user wrote alongside the pictures. The first snap shows a dish layered with dry spaghetti, strips of uncooked bacon and slices of American cheese. Unsurprisingly, the meal only looked worse after some time in the oven. Instead of melting, the cheese shrivelled up and burned, and the dry spaghetti didn't look any more enticing either. After sharing the snaps in the popular Facebook group people were so shocked by the food creation they thought the foodie must've been joking. "This has got to be satire," one person commented on the viral post. But others weren't so sure, as a second said: "What in the name of god did you think you were making!?!" And a third chimed in: "I have never seen anything like this, where is the sauce?" The Sun tries Wetherspoons' new menu "I want to laugh but I genuinely don't even know what to think here," another wrote. Meanwhile, others offered some cooking suggestions for their next attempt. "You should start by reading an actual recipe, this is a crime," one said. And another commented: "I dread to think how many Italians you killed making this. Even if it is a joke this post should come with a trigger warning." And someone else quipped: "Who raised you?!" This isn't the first time food fans have been left stunned by a meal. Mum and TikToker Michelle previously caused viewers to lose their appetites as she proudly showed the breakfast she fed her family. The now-viral video, which has racked up a staggering 2.2million views in just two days, sees the parent make scrambled eggs - but with a twist. Rather than using actual eggs, the mum whipped up the first meal of the day with a ''scrambled egg mix'' - which was essentially just a powder. To add some extra boost of protein, Michelle also threw in a generous amount of bacon - that had been freeze dried. The gut-churning concoction called for half a cup of the scrambled egg mix which she dissolved with warm water, as well as the bacon bits - which needed to be re-hydrated with cold water. For extra flavour and texture the mum also chucked in some freeze fried cheddar cheese that had to go in the water before as well. Once the egg mixture was ready, Michelle cooked it on the pan, before squeezing the water out of the shredded cheese and throwing a spoonful of the watery bacon. Showing off the final result on her page, the mum tried to convince the viewers it was ''good'' - and the rest of the brood agreed, with the dad dubbing the dish ''yummy''.

Trump reignites feud with CBS over ‘deleted' Colbert interview - years after his claim was debunked

President Donald Trump posted a video claiming that CBS 'deleted' his 2015 interview with Stephen Colbert, resurfacing a debunked claim against one of his favorite recent rivals. Late on Friday, the president reposted a Facebook video on his Truth Social account containing heavily edited clips of his September 2015 interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. A message next to the video states: 'You are not supposed to see this video. CBS DELETED this entire episode from their official website. You will not find these segments on YouTube either.' However, a quick search on YouTube showed otherwise. Clips from the Trump-Colbert interview are still available to be watched on the official Late Show account. One video has 17 million views. The Independent has reached out to the White House and CBS for comment. Both the YouTube video and Trump's post include a portion of the interview in which Trump, then a candidate, touts his plans to build a wall, prompting the audience to cheer. 'Oh, listen to this, even with your crowd –' Trump begins. Colbert interjects: 'They love the wall. People love the wall.' Strangely, this isn't the first time that Trump has made this claim. The president appears to have reposted that same video in his first term in October 2018. Hours later, Colbert posted on X: 'I don't know why the president would take time on a National Day of Mourning to retweet something weird like this, but the original clips have always been online. 16 million views.' The comedian attached two links to YouTube clips from the episode in question. A CBS spokesperson at the time told the Associated Press that full episodes of The Late Show are only available to stream online 30 days after the initial airing. Trump's Friday Truth Social post marked the latest move in his feud with CBS. The president has repeatedly expressed his ire at CBS' 60 Minutes interview with Kamala Harris. He has sued the network for $20 million, claiming it used 'deceitful editing' to advantage the then-vice president. CBS filed a motion to dismiss the case earlier this month, arguing: 'This lawsuit is an affront to the First Amendment and is without basis in law or fact.' In response, this week Trump's lawyers claimed he suffered 'mental anguish' as a result of the interview. His legal team also accused to the network of seeking 'to wield the First Amendment as a sword, arguing that they cannot be held responsible for illegal conduct, intended to mislead the masses and undertaken in the pursuit of profit, because such conduct was the result of 'editorial judgment.''
