Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is one of the most celebrated actors in the industry. He is not just known for his impeccable acting skills or his huge fan base, but also for being a true gentleman. Every co-star of the actor praises him for his kindness. Now, his Swades co-star Daya Shankar Pandey revealed that he was riding a bike during a scene with SRK at the back. He shared how the superstar fell off the bike due to Daya's fault, but took the blame upon himself to save him.
In a conversation with Friday Talkies, Daya Shankar Pandey shared that there was a scene in Swades where he was riding the bike and Shah Rukh Khan was sitting on the back. However, he didn't know how to ride the bike properly. Though he insisted director Ashutosh Gowariker to instead ask the superstar to ride as he hadn't ridden a bike since long, his request was declined.
Daya Shankar started rehearsing the scene while King Khan was watching him. He then called Daya and asked if he could ride a bike. He lied, saying yes, and was immediately asked to give a ride to him.
The Swades actor added, 'You won't believe it, the bike actually went up in the air and threw SRK on the ground. I had left the bike, and I was shivering in fear. I was convinced that this was end of my career.' He added that the set's environment changed quickly.
Daya shared that SRK was already suffering from severe back pain and even had physio on set. He was staring at him but couldn't lend a helping hand to him to stand as he was too scared to do that.
Talking about Shah Rukh Khan's heartwarming gesture to save Daya, he shared, 'He then stood up, walked up to me and kept his hand on my shoulder. He quietly said, 'I knew you didn't know how to ride a bike.' He quickly turned towards Ashutosh and said, 'Ashu, let's take the shot'. Ashutosh gave me a death stare when Shah Rukh stopped him and said, 'What are you looking at? It was my fault. I disbalanced it'.'

Ed Sheeran drops new song Sapphire with desi beats, Arijit Singh vocals. All Shah Rukh Khan fans care about is his cameo

Looks like Ed Sheeran took a leaf out of bestie Taylor Swift's playbook when it comes to his new song, Sapphire. (Also Read: Shah Rukh Khan sings hook line of Sapphire with Ed Sheeran, Arijit Singh spends time with singer on a barge. See post) Ed finally dropped the 3-minute video for Sapphire, a song he has been teasing for a while now. Shot guerrilla-style during his trips to India, some of the visuals in the video are featured on his social media, including videos of him taking auto rickshaw rides or interacting with fans. The famous video of Arijit driving Ed on his scooter also features in the video, as does a selfie of Ed and Shah Rukh singing the lyrics of Sapphire. Ed has been teasing the desi beats and the line – cham cham sitaare warghi – for a while now. In a recent post about the song, Ed wrote 'love that guy' while referring to Shah Rukh and called Arijit 'the final jigsaw piece' of his song. He also teased that a full Punjabi version of the song with Arijit will be out soon. Fans were thrilled to see Shah Rukh in the video, even if for a few seconds. One fan commented on YouTube, 'Is no one gonna talk about SRK peek (heart emoji).' Another wrote, 'He is a cutie pie, he should have had more screen time.' Another called the song iconic, writing, 'This is iconic on so many levels. Having Arijit Singh AND Shah Rukh Khan's cameo in the same video like whatttttt.' Festive fervour grips Jama Masjid's Bakra Mandi ahead of Eid-al-Adha

NEW DELHI: With Eid-al-Adha just around the corner, the narrow lanes around Delhi's Jama Masjid are bursting with energy, excitement, and extravagance. At the heart of it all is the famous Bakra Mandi, where goats named after Bollywood superstars like Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan are commanding prices ranging from Rs 8,000 to a staggering Rs 15 lakh. These prized animals, raised with care and devotion over years, are more than just livestock — they are symbols of pride, patience, and faith. 'It takes three years for goats to grow up... It feels really good. Here, we raise animals and watch them grow. May the Almighty bless humans with the same reward too,' says an assistant at Zaif Quereshi. This year, sellers are celebrating record profits, with earnings soaring to Rs 15 lakh — nearly four times higher than last year's Rs 4 lakh mark — making this one of the most lucrative seasons in recent memory. Bargaining is as normal here as in the Sarojini market, just with bigger numbers. 'One customer tried to bring a Rs 95,000 goat down to Rs 70,000,' said another seller, Asif. 'They ask what we fed it, where it came from, and then quote their own price — but not all deals close.' For many, negotiating is as much a tradition as the sacrifice itself. This time, 'Gangapari' — white in color and in excellent health — is in the spotlight and high in demand. Breeds varying from Totapuri, Jamnagar Bam Doli, Barbari, Malabar, Mewati, etc., are available in the market, brought in from Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and farther regions. 'At our farm, we feed them grains, cashews, chana, and more. We raise them with care and love. My favourite is Sultan Pahalwan. We have Salman, Shahrukh, Rahamuddin, and many more,' said Jaif, a 13-year-old caretaker. Members of the Muslim community have begun arriving at livestock mandis to purchase goats for Qurbani, the sacred ritual of sacrifice that forms the heart of the festival. In India, Eid-al-Adha will be observed on June 7 this year. The festival is often referred to as the Festival of Sacrifice.

This child sitting with his mother is now a famous name in Bollywood, can you recognise him? His name is...

Flipping through childhood photos is one of the most treasured memories one may have. Looking back, down memory lane and up nostalgia hill, reminiscing about the old days usually puts a smile on our faces. This is a photograph of a famous person. He used to have a close bond with his mother. Let's see who this person is. The Bollywood's King Here we are talking about none other than Shah Rukh Khan, who aspired to be an actor and, with his mother's belief in him, accomplished his dream and became the unstoppable King Khan. Fueled by his desire, he completed school, college, and the National School of Drama before ultimately stepping into the world to seize the reins and govern it. A Close Bond with Mother That Became a Pillar Shah Rukh Khan faced a tragic loss when he lost his father, Meer Taj Mohammed Khan, at just 14 years old. His mother, Lateef Fatima Khan, became his sole guardian and the center of his world, providing unwavering support as he grew up. In an interview with Stardust, SRK shared how his mother's unconditional support helped him move through life's challenges. 'My mother was always incredibly proud of me. In her eyes, I was the best, and I started to believe that. She made me feel that way. But after she passed away, I suddenly realized I wasn't the best after all. I was just a nobody. It was her biggest dream to see me on the big screen. She sacrificed so much for me, and no one else on this earth would have done as much… I was still quite young when my father died, and I didn't shed a tear then. But when my mother passed, that's when I really broke down. It was such a strange and emotional experience… I still can't fully process it… I might start crying just thinking about it…' When Shah Rukh Lost His Strongest Pillar In 1991, Shah Rukh featured on Simi Garewal's popular chat show Rendezvous with Simi Garewal, where he spoke about his mother's demise and how it broke him completely. He said, 'My mother died shortly after the release of my debut serial, Circus. In the ICU, she sat up with a blank expression on her face. She was a gorgeous woman. I told Mummy that you would be fine, and you would be okay for me. I'm going to do films. My serial (Circus) is coming soon. That night, the doctor arrived and said, 'Woh tumhari mummy ko saans chadh rahi hai, humein nahin maloom abhi kya karna hai.' He asked that I have some injections. I traveled throughout Delhi… I could not get them… I had just four and the doctor wanted twenty.'
