Multiple injuries have been reported at a MARTA subway station after Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter Tour stop in Georgia.
Newsweek reached out to MARTA (Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority) via an online form on Tuesday for comment.
The Context
Beyoncé is currently wrapping up her Cowboy Carter Tour. It began in April in Los Angeles following the release of her record-breaking Cowboy Carter album in 2024.
The "Texas Hold 'Em" singer, 43, announced the news one day after the 2025 Grammy Awards, where Cowboy Carter was named Album of the Year and Best Country Album.
"COWBOY CARTER TOUR 2025," she wrote on social media at the time.
What To Know
Beyoncé had just wrapped her four-day stint in Atlanta on Monday at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium when the incident took place shortly after midnight.
Witnesses recalled crowds rushing to leave the venue, according to Fox 5 Atlanta, and MARTA officials told the outlet that a "stampede" occurred on the escalator at the nearby Vine City Station.
When someone began screaming and running, the escalator sped up before coming to a sudden stop, forcing people to fall into one another. Authorities said that one person had broken their ankle and seven more were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, per FOX 5 Atlanta. People were also seen on stretchers and wheelchairs.

The incident occurred following news of an Atlanta car break-in involving Beyoncé's choreographer, Christopher Grant, and dancer Diandre Blue. While they were eating, two suitcases were stolen from their 2024 Jeep Wagoneer rental car.
The 911 call was released by Atlanta news station WSB-TV.
"Someone broke into my car," Grant told the dispatcher. "I was parked in a garage while I went to a restaurant. But they stole, like my computers and everything, but it has the tracker on it."
"They have my computers, and it's really, really important information in there," he added. "I work with someone who's like of a high status, and I really need the, um, my computer and everything."
The theft was captured on camera, and an arrest warrant was issued, the Associated Press reported.
What People Are Saying
The Atlanta Police Department alerted drivers of car break-ins on Facebook earlier this month: "We know quick stops can turn into costly mistakes. It only takes seconds for a thief to spot valuables and break in. Take your bags, phone, and anything important with you every time you leave your car. Don't give criminals an easy win."
What Happens Next
Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter Tour concludes on July 26 in Las Vegas.

Man Gets Lego Gift After Fighting Brain Cancer—What He Builds Shocks Wife

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. For a couple online, grand romantic gestures take focused mental work—but they are so worth it. In a TikTok video, Alli Young revealed the simple, yet elaborate, act of her husband, Brett, delivering her water bottle via a massive Lego crane—something she said truly defines their relationship. Young told Newsweek about the engineering feat that has gone viral with over 223,000 likes. "Oh, your man likes to go out and party and doesn't text you back for hours on end? That's cool, mine delivers me my water bottle via a Lego crane that he spent all weekend building," Young captioned the video, which shows the large, intricate Lego crane delivering her bottle. The specific crane featured in the video was a Father's Day gift from her. "He spent every spare second over two days building it," Young said. "He works in construction management." While Young herself admitted she has never been into Lego, she said she deeply appreciates Brett's passion: "When he builds something he's proud of, it always makes me happy to see," she added. "It's like he gets transported back to being a little kid, and it's honestly just very fun to watch." The nine-second clip, Young said, offers a glimpse into the couple's unique dynamic. "You get a good idea of who we are, which sounds dumb, but hear me out," she added, describing Brett as "very meticulous and likes things done a certain way," while she is "the more extroverted, 'out there' one." The water-bottle delivery perfectly illustrates their balance of personalities, Young said: "Me asking him to bring me my water bottle and him using the crane to do it is his fun, playful side, but then you watch him at the end looking around the corner to make sure it makes it over the rug—back to his meticulous side showing through." Inspired by the overwhelming positive response to the video, Young said that Brett has now started his own TikTok account to show off more of his Lego collection. The story behind Brett's dedication to Lego, though, goes much deeper than just a hobby. Two years ago, their lives were shaken when they found out that Brett had a brain tumor. During his recovery from a craniotomy to remove the cancer, all of his friends put money together to buy him a huge Lego set to build while he was recovering. Young said she firmly believes that "the combination of doing something he loved and doing something to physically help his brain was what helped him heal." And, today, Brett is fully recovered, cancer-free and starting to teach the couple's 2-year-old daughter how to build small Lego sets. For Young, even though she doesn't fully understand the appeal of Lego, as she concluded: "I can see how much he loves it, which makes me love it just a little bit."

Dog Waiting in Car Honks to Hurry Owner out of Café—Wins 'Pet of the Week'

From a shelter dog waiting five years to find a forever home to a cat making the owner pay after going on vacation, pets captured our hearts. Another batch of submissions from our readers stood out, making it to this week's edition of Newsweek "Pet of the Week." If you wish to be featured, follow the instructions at the end of this article to get involved and possibly featured. Brenda Sieren This week's winner made us laugh instantly, as the dog's patience was wearing thin and he resorted to pettiness to get his owner back into the car. Owner Brenda Sieren learned that her dog does not possess the virtue of patience. Sieren will run into a local café to pick up a coffee, a relatively quick errand, but sometimes the lines are long and it can take longer than expected. If that happens, she told Newsweek via email, her dog will honk the car horn to get her out of the café. "My boy can't stand for me to have a cup of coffee for more than a minute," she said. The family welcomed home a Labrador retriever mix, Molly, when she was about 1. They quickly learned she's living up to her breed expectations, as she's obsessed with water. Still to this day, at 12 1/2 years old, Molly cannot get enough of the water. Fielder told Newsweek that any time she thinks her family is going out by the water, she'll quickly claim her spot in the kayak. Her adventures have taken her to incredible locations, including Mount Shasta. The photo Fielder submitted shows Molly sporting a water life vest, posing in front of the famous mountain. "A rescue at the age of one, she's without question a member of our family," he said. Alberta Wasden Alberta Wasden's black cat earned a spot as one of our finalists this week after befriending a stuffed toy looking just like her. Even though we're still in the heart of summer, stores are beginning to put out their Halloween decorations. Wasden told Newsweek she recently saw a "Summerween stuffed black cat" on sale and knew she needed it. Not just for her cat, but for decorations when the spooky holiday came around. However, her cat had other plans. When Wasden began taking photos of the decoration, her cat hopped onto the chair and began posing too, she said. These twins claimed the chair as their own to snuggle, and any idea of using it as a Halloween decoration has now been thrown out the window. Deinlein Finally, last but not least, we have a dog who put in effort to find a comfy spot on a wedge pillow, which is a triangle-shaped pillow used to elevate the upper body. K. Deinlein's dog tried to nuzzle her way onto the slanted pillow; however, she told Newsweek, "gravity and exhaustion finally won out." The dog toppled off the wedge pillow and onto the ground, accepting defeat. She stayed on the ground, with her belly and paws up. This was as good a spot as she was going to get for a quick snooze session. Beyoncé fans are paying close attention to her hair color as tour ends: Here's why

Beyoncé Knowles-Carter is about to wrap up her "Cowboy Carter" tour in Las Vegas, and fans are already searching for clues about what's next for the superstar. Their current focus is the hair color of some of Beyoncé's dancers. The Grammy-winning singer kicked off her first concert at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on July 25. The concert marked her first of two shows at the stadium on her Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin' Circuit Tour. She is set to perform again July 26. As she took the stage, Beyoncé donned a floor-length American flag coat with a matching bodysuit and white cowboy hat. However, it was her blond hair color that immediately caught the attention of some fans. Prior to Friday's show, rumors began to swirl when fans noticed some of her dancers appearing to change their hair color to jet black. One account wrote on X, "Beyoncé's dancers are reportedly dyeing their hair black, sparking rumors that it's a visual clue for the third installment of her trilogy: act iii." As fans know, Beyoncé released her eighth studio album "Cowboy Carter" March 29. The country album has already made history on multiple fronts and put a spotlight on Black country artists. In July 2022 Beyoncé released her seventh studio album "Renaissance." The project earned her four Grammys in 2023 including best dance/electronic music album, making her the most decorated artist in the awards' history. She later announced the album was the first part of a three-act project, making "Cowboy Carter" Act 2. After releasing albums in the country and dance categories, there has been growing speculation that the last project in the trilogy could be a rock album. Beyoncé only fueled this idea after she posed as funk-rock diva Betty Davis for Halloween — and yes, she was wearing jet black hair. However, during the July 25 performance, not only was Beyoncé's hair not black, but many of her dancers' hair colors also varied from black to red and more. One fan wrote, "And the black hair theories are dismissed." However, others were reluctant to abandon the idea entirely, noting that there's still one more show to go. Some fans even went so far as to point out that last show date falls on Davis' birthday. There are always fan theories floating around, and fans can expect even more as Beyoncé closes out her tour and the Act 2 era leaving them to eagerly await Act 3. As always, only time will tell.
