Trump's Bizarre Mail-In Voting Claim Sparks Reactions

President Donald Trump attacked mail-in voting on Monday with an anecdote about one of his own trips to the ballot box that included a very unlikely detail. 'They asked me for my license plate,' he insisted. 'I said, 'I don't know if I have it.' They said, 'Sir, you have to have it.' I was very impressed, actually.' MSNBC Trump didn't mention where this happened, but he has cast his most recent ballots in his adopted home state of Florida, which requires voters to present a photo ID, as well as proof of signature if it's not on the photo ID. MSNBC A license plate doesn't contain a photo or a signature. MSNBC A Florida driver's license has both, and may be what the president was referring to. MSNBC But given his attacks on former President Joe Biden's gaffes, Trump's critics weren't gonna cut him any slack. They fired back on X: If Biden said this it would be on the evening news for days. — Mark Elliott (markmobility@ (@markmobility) August 18, 2025 @markmobility / MSNBC / Via So a couple things…just like Trump I'm a registered voter in here in Florida. As a resident of 20 years. I've voted in more elections than he has within this state. I've never been asked for my license plate to vote. This is both total bullshit and batshit crazy. — The Uncultured Black AristoCAT (@camarawilliams) August 18, 2025 @camarawilliams / MSNBC / Via I honestly can say, I never had to show anyone my license plate to vote. — Machine Pun Kelly 🇺🇦 (@KellyScaletta) August 18, 2025 @KellyScaletta / Via Trump: "When you go to a voting booth... they asked me for my license plate, right? I said, I don't know if I have. And they said, sure, you have to have it. Oh, it's a very impressive actually." Made-up nonsense from Dementia Don, as usual. — Republicans against Trump (@RpsAgainstTrump) August 18, 2025 @RpsAgainstTrump / MSNBC / Via LOL. Heck, even an impeachment countdown clock. But when Donald Trump says something resembling what a nursing home patient would say? The president clearly had a lot to brain-dump before bedtime.

Donald Trump fired off a dizzying barrage of Truth Social posts on Sunday evening, raging at criticism over his summit with Vladimir Putin, calling a Democrat senator 'unattractive,' and boasting about his beloved White House flags. Trump had been active on Truth Social for most of Sunday, raging against criticism of his summit flop alongside Putin and taking aim at MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace. His outrage continued into Sunday night with a flurry of posts, defending himself against criticism of the Friday meeting with the Russian president in Alaska while adding a pointed message to Volodymyr Zelensky ahead of his meeting with the Ukrainian president on Monday.

Wallace claimed a top spot on Trump's hit list Sunday.

MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace used her show on Monday to fire back at Trump after becoming his newest media target, highlighting his biggest 'delusion' and questioning his basic grip on reality. While discussing Trump's meeting with Vladimir Putin on her show Deadline: White House, Wallace declared the president 'is furious at anyone that covers the truth about this story and any others.' Referencing Trump's Sunday morning meltdown about her, in which he'd called her a 'loser, with bad ratings, who was already thrown off of The View,' Wallace added, 'I witnessed that firsthand myself.' The 79-year-old president was in the midst of one of his bizarre social media rampages when his ire turned to Wallace Sunday. 'She will be fired soon! MSNBC IS DEAD!' he also wrote to Truth Social, as supporters jeered at the TV host in the comments below the post, calling her 'Typhoid Mary Nicole Wallace,' and her show 'Clown news.' Wrote one user, 'Nicole Wallace is afraid of losing her job. Get her a Waaambulance.' The posts were apparently retaliation for Wallace's coverage of his failure to secure a ceasefire after meeting with Putin. Solve the daily Crossword
