Nine arrests at TRNSMT Sunday as suspects detained over sex assault and cop attacks

It takes the total number of arrests in the Glasgow Green festival at the weekend to 19.
A TRNSMT reveller was arrested over an alleged sex assault yesterday as Police Scotland detained nine festival-goers on the final day of the Glasgow Green bash.
Music lovers descended on Glasgow city centre to see Snow Patrol bringing the curtain down on the third day of the festival on Sunday July 13.

But officers policing the event made nine arrests for offences ranging from sexual assault and police assault to possession of weapons.

Police added revellers at the festival - also headlined by 50 Cent and Biffy Clyro on Friday and Saturday - were detained over common assault.
Suspects were also apprehended over alleged hate crimes and culpable and reckless behaviour.

It takes the total number of arrests in Glasgow Green to 19.
Seven people were arrested on day one, when 50 Cent and The Script topped the bill.

Four others were detained on day two, when Biffy and Fontaines D.C. were playing.
One man had been arrested and charged after allegedly leafleting near the festival while wearing a T-shirt showing support for the proscribed group Palestine Action.
A statement released by Police Scotland on Monday said: "Nine people have been arrested and charged in connection with various offences in and around the area where TRNSMT festival was held at Glasgow Green on Sunday, 13 July, 2025.
"The offences included police assault, assault, sexual assault, culpable and reckless behaviour, hate crime and possession of weapons. Reports will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."

Following the arrests, Met Police officers secured a warrant to search two properties in Chiswick and say "significant evidence" was recovered. A third man was arrested on Monday on suspicion of assisting an offender. He is currently being held in custody. Detective Chief Superintendent Christina Jessah, who leads policing in Central West London, said: 'These arrests mark a significant milestone in this complex and unfolding murder investigation. 'We continue to progress at pace. While we retain an open mind around motive, one line of enquiry is now that this may have been a targeted attack. Larissa Johnston - also known as Lara - was last seen on Sunday evening, July 13. Police are searching for a teenage girl who vanished from the Pollock area of Glasgow. Larissa Johnston, also known as Lara, was last seen at around 6.10pm on Sunday, July 13 in Glenmill Crescent. ‌ She is described as 5ft 5ins, of slim build with brown hair. ‌ When last seen she was believed to be wearing a black knee length jacket, black lace up knee high boots, stone colooured trousers and a red/orange jumper. Inspector Alyssa Fullelove-McCann said: 'Our enquiries to trace Lara are ongoing, and I am appealing to anyone who has seen Lara or has any information about her whereabouts to contact us. It comes as a frantic search was launched in an effort to trace a Scots pensioner who went missing three days ago. ‌ Henry Nicol was last seen on Friday night, July 11, at around 7:15pm in Dee Avenue, Renfrewshire. Cops have described Henry as 5ft 9inches, of medium build. He is also clean shaven or may have light stubble with grey/white hair. Inspector Derek Scrimgour said: 'As time goes on, we are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of Henry. 'I would again ask residents who live in the local area to check any outbuildings, sheds or covered areas in case Henry has sought shelter there. 'Footage captured on private CCTV or doorbell cameras is crucial. "I would ask local householders and businesses to review it and please let us know if there is anything that can assist our enquiries.
