Robin Propper's exact Twente contract details revealed as Rangers exit fast tracked with final hurdle cleared
Out of favour Robin Propper looks set to finally complete his move back to FC Twente with a bumper four-year deal on the table.
The defender was left out of Rangers ' Champions League win against Panathinaikos during the week and is expected to complete a medical at Enschede, ahead of a £1.5million transfer.
His move from Ibrox after just a year was held up due to a reported stalemate between the player and Rangers about the remaining time of his contract, because he would be on a less lucrative deal in the Netherlands.
But the Eredivisie club now appear to have resolved the issue by offering the 31-year-old a longer deal and he will end his unsuccessful spell at Ibrox.
Propper played 115 matches for Twente between 2021 and 2024 and was the club's captain.
However, he failed to nail down a regular spot at Rangers, despite scoring in an Old Firm win against Celtic in January and he only started 22 league games.
And he will finally seal a departure as Russell Martin continues his rebuilding process at Rangers.

Arsenal are setting in motion the first steps of a productive summer as they look to buck their trend of second-place finishes next term. It was once again a case of close but not close enough for Mikel Arteta 's side in 2024/25. Finishing second fiddle to the Premier League champions for a third successive season, the Gunners endured another trophyless campaign after their Champions League push fell at the hands of eventual winners PSG. A key reason for their failure to achieve was an attacking injury crisis that forced Mikel Merino to take up a role of makeshift number nine, and despite their undeniable quality in the starting XI, Arsenal's depth is far from good enough for a team hopeful of major titles. And with numerous players already on the chopping block, Arteta has promised a 'big' summer of recruitment at the Emirates. With the transfer window having re-opened on 16 June, a striker was top of the club's shopping list, and they've finally got their man after completing a move for Viktor Gyokeres. Elsewhere, deals for midfielders and defenders are being pursued, with Noni Madueke putting pen to paper and Eberechi Eze being considered. New sporting director Andrea Berta is leading the club's transfer dealings, and Arsenal will be hoping he can replicate his Atleti exploits in London as Arteta looks to lead the club back to the Premier League pinnacle for the first time since 2006. Arrivals & areas to improve The obvious priority for Arsenal will be to sign at least one world class striker. Gabriel Jesus is sidelined with a serious injury that could keep him out until midway through next season, and while the returning Kai Havertz remains one of Arteta's favoured players, there is a strong desire to add an out-and-out proven goalscorer to the ranks, hence the arrival of Gyokeres. The Gunners have added a top-class midfielder as they completed a deal for Real Sociedad's Martin Zubimendi, with the 26-year-old Spaniard joining for around £60m a year after apparently rejecting the advances of Liverpool. In addition, Christian Norgaard joins from Brentford as a defensive cover option, while they could yet add Eze as a more attacking choice. Inconsistency on the Gabriel Martinelli front means that a winger has been targeted, with Noni Madueke bringing healthy competition for the Brazilian (if not replacing him entirely). Elsewhere, cover has been secured in defence - with the Gunners having signed Valencia's Cristhian Mosquera – while a backup goalkeeper for David Raya has been acquired with the arrival of Kepa Arrizabalaga. Eze impressed for Palace last season and scored the winner in the Eagles' memorable FA Cup final triumph, with a goal that perfectly illustrated his ability in the final third. Reports suggest the 27-year-old is undeterred by the imminent arrival of Noni Madueke, and Arsenal are said to be hoping to agree a deal below his £68m release clause. Celtic bid for transfer target ‘laughingly rejected'

After seeing his side lose 5-1 to Ajax in a pre-season friendly last week, the Celtic boss called on the board to show ambition in the remainder of the transfer window. But according to reports in the Netherlands, the Parkhead club's starting offer for winger Jakob Breum fell well below the asking price. Voetbal International is reporting that Go Ahead Eagles knocked back a bid of £1.3million for the 21-year-old earlier this summer - with the Hoops' offer described as being "laughingly rejected" by the club. Breum, a Danish under-21 international, has two years remaining on his contract and Go Ahead Eagles are in no rush to sell the wide man. Particularly not when Rangers are rumoured to be interested in their other star winger, Oliver Antman. Liverpool have agreed a £65.5million deal with Bayern Munich to sell Luis Diaz and the winger's departure is expected to fund a bid for Newcastle star Alexander Isak When Luis Diaz arrived at Liverpool in January 2022, his smile lit up the training ground. Then-boss Jurgen Klopp admitted he hadn't seen anyone enjoy training as much as the Colombian did. Having moved sooner than expected to land him from Porto because Tottenham were sniffing, the Reds got a new weapon in a campaign they were fighting for four trophies in. Diaz was a big part in their League and FA Cup successes while they missed out on the Premier League by a point to Manchester City and suffered Champions League heartache against Real Madrid in Paris. But it was how quickly he settled which surprised most. Then captain Jordan Henderson even remarked how soon he found his, quite fast, feet at the club. With 41 goals and 16 assists in 148 games as well as a Premier League title and another League Cup to the previously mentioned trophies, Diaz has undoubtedly been a successful buy for £37.5million. Now he is heading for the exit door, he will need to be replaced. But has he already? Diaz under Arne Slot has been more versatile than the left winger under Klopp. When Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez were unavailable last season, he would be used through the middle. Slot wants a front line that can move about. He often frustrated with end product sometimes a problem but he could be lethal as he showed with a hat-trick against Bayer Leverkusen in November and a brace against Manchester United at Old Trafford in September. Now Liverpool have already agreed a £79m deal to bring in Hugo Ekitike and he is finding his feet on the summer tour out in Asia, which Diaz has just departed. It should be noted that Liverpool believe the France under-21 striker has the ability to play in more places than one in the front three. Ekitike is not Nunez's replacement for when he expectedly departs later this summer. Ekitike is the versatile forward to replace Diaz it seems. That is why Liverpool remain on red alert when it comes to Alexander Isak. Because the Sweden hitman is the man they want as their new No.9 when Nunez leaves. Now should Newcastle fail to budge on their stance that he's not for sale, Liverpool are happy with Ekitike through the middle. Of course, they also have Cody Gakpo on the left and teenage sensation Rio Ngumoha, even at just 16, is starting to push. Yet if they could land Isak in the coming weeks, even if it will take a British transfer record offer and the Magpies relenting, Slot will believe he will have a much more fluid forward line as well as a lethal one. They know Ekitike is a forward of promise while Isak is a striker who has proven himself in the Premier League. Yet interchanging them while having options on the left and right (many believe Jeremie Frimpong is more back-up to Mo Salah than a threat to Conor Bradley at right-back), the Reds are building a new-look front line that is more flexible than the previous one. Why are Liverpool sanctioning Diaz's sale is another question when he too can be flexible in his positioning? Well, it became clear to them 12 months ago that Colombian, although still smiling brightly, was having his head turned. They tried on two occasions to secure him under a new contract but the differences in salary demands and expectations were too much. Liverpool wanted to stand strong this season. Earlier in the summer, their stance was Diaz was not for sale but Bayern Munich have proven that everyone is for sale for the right price with their £65.1m bid being accepted.
