Daily Record15-05-2025

An air ambulance took the 15-year-old to hospital but he sadly died soon after
A schoolboy who was rushed to hospital after complaining of feeling unwell has "unexpectedly" died. On Tuesday, emergency crews including road and air ambulances, and officers from the Met Police, raced to Coopers School in Chislehurst, south east London, reports the Mirror.
Around five minutes after the alarm, paramedics had arrived at the secondary school and a 15-year-old boy was raced to hospital. He was pronounced dead shortly after he arrived.

The Met Police said that his tragic death was "unexpected" but confirmed that is not being treated as suspicious. His family is being supported by specially trained officers.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police confirmed: "On Tuesday, 13 May at 1.25pm police were called by the London Ambulance Service to a school in Bromley, where a 15-year-old boy was suffering a medical emergency.
"London's Air Ambulance transported the boy to hospital where he has sadly now died.
"The boy's death is being treated as unexpected but not suspicious at this time. His family and the school are being supported by officers."
A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service added: "We were called at 1.20pm on Tuesday, May 13, to reports of a person unwell in Hawkwood Lane, Chislehurst.
"We sent two ambulance crews, a paramedic in a fast response car, and an incident response officer to the scene. We also dispatched London's Air Ambulance.

"The first paramedic arrived in less than five minutes. We treated a teenager at the scene and took him to hospital by road as a priority."
The school has been contacted for comment.

On Friday, in a separate incident, we reported that a 12-year-old boy was fighting for his life following a horror crash in the Borders on a major Scots road. Three others, including another child, were also taken to hospital.
The crash occurred on the A1 on the evening of Thursday, May 8, at around 8.40pm near to Penmanshiel between Cockburnspath and Grantshouse. It involved a white Ford Transit Luton van and a black Peugeot 5008.
Emergency services arrived at the scene and a 12-year-old male passenger of the Peugeot was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, where his condition was described as critical.

The 50-year-old driver of the car and a 10-year-old male passenger were also taken to hospital in the capital. The 44-year-old male driver of the van was taken to Borders General Hospital.
The road was closed for over 10 hours to allow investigations to be carried out and re-opened around 6.30am on Friday morning.

Sergeant Dominic Doyle said: 'Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of this crash and I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash and hasn't already spoken to officers to get in touch.
'I would also appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and who may have dash-cam footage which could assist to contact us.'

Tourist restrains influencer after ‘cruel' Apple Pay prank plagues Londoners

To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Tiktokers who think they are funny are pranking London commuters with fake Apple Pay payments, but victims are quite literally fighting back. The viral trend sees Tiktokers play the Apple Pay 'ding' sound next to a stranger's phone, saying 'thank you' and walking away. This leaves the victim of the prank thinking they have had money taken from them. One influencer, F Boogie, walked up to a tourist on the River Thames and pretended to take £1,000 from them. But the tourist, enraged at the thought he had so much money taken from him, physically restrained the Tiktoker. A plainclothed police officer then arrived at the scene, and handcuffed F Boogie who shouts: 'Oh my hand bruv, my hand, you've f***ed up my hand.' The prank does not cause any financial or physical harm, but it can leave victim's distressed and confused. Users who are choosing to pull the prank on someone, pretend to make a contactless payment with their phone against someone else's. The prank is complete with the classic Apple Pay 'ding' and a a graphic on the user's phone signifying payment has been complete. Pranksters tend to say 'thank you' at the end to really ham home the act and get a reaction out of their victim. Some commenters beneath the videos have said it is cruel, and is only being done for Tiktok hits. Londoners will be pleased to know that money can never be taken from them from someone else's phone. Apple Pay requires authorization and a payment terminal. So phones are unable to transfer funds just by touching. Metro has contacted the Met Police for comment. Princess Kate quietly returns to work following Windsor Castle security scare

The Princess of Wales has been back at work at Windsor Castle after a short break from her children's half-term holidays and days after a security scare at Windsor Castle The Princess of Wales has quietly returned work just days after a dramatic security scare at Windsor Castle. Both Prince William and Kate had time away from duties last week as their children were on their half-term school holidays. On Sunday, a security scare was sparked at the castle after an intruder was said to have climbed over the wall of the castle grounds. The man was quickly detained by officers from the Metropolitan Police, which is responsible for security at the royal residence. At the time the intruder was allegedly attempting to gain access to the castle, it was reported that the Prince and Princess of Wales were at their Adelaide Cottage home on the Windsor estate at the time with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. However, just days after the security scare, it appears Kate held an Early Years Meeting at Windsor Castle on Wednesday, according to the Court Circular. The private meeting was not attended by the press and the appointment was believed to have been focused on her Early Years initiative. This was established by the princess through the Centre for Early Childhood in 2021, which she founded as a cause close to her heart. The foundation aims to create awareness of the everlasting impact the early years of someone's life can have on the rest of their lives. It also aims to take actions which can help to transform society for the better in the future. Following the security scare last weekend, a man in his 30s was handed over to the local police force, Thames Valley, before being arrested on suspicion of trespass and possession of a Class A drug. The intruder was some distance away from where the royals were residing, as the man was said to have entered the grounds near Town Gate. A spokesperson for the Met Police said: 'A man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of trespass on a protected site and possession of Class A drugs after entering restricted grounds at Windsor Castle.' 'Officers in the grounds spotted the man just after 13:00hrs on Sunday June 1st and quickly arrested him. He was then passed into the custody of Thames Valley Police.' The Prince and Princess of Wales suffered another terrifying security breach just last year after masked intruders allegedly smashed down a barrier and scaled a six-foot fence to get access to the Windsor Castle estate. The two men allegedly broke into the estate during the night to steal farm vehicles before driving off in a pick-up truck and on a quad bike that had been stored in a barn on October 13. King Charles and Queen Camilla were not at the residence at the time, but William and Kate were believed to be sleeping at nearby Adelaide Cottage with their three children.
