Martin Boyle again threatens. The Australia winger rises to meet a cross, he's unchallenged and he ought to at least hit the target but instead heads wastefully wide off his shoulder.

Hibs are in attack immediately and Chris Cadden's cross just evades the head of Martin Boyle in the six-yard box and the visitors follow that up by winning a corner as the winger's strike at goal takes a deflection.

Thomas Thomasberg is in his second spell as Midtjylland head coach and has gathered together a young squad with international experience from around the world.
Up front he has Poland's Adam Buksa and Guinea-Bissau's Franculino Dju, who is reportedly of interest to several Premier League clubs.
Denil Castillo, who has just made his Ecuador debut, is on the bench, while another 21-year-old, winger Dario Osorio, plays for Chile and defender Lee Han-beom recently debuted for South Korea.
Although Kevin Mbabu did not make it even to Rangers' bench on loan from Newcastle United in 2015, the 30-year-old right-back has since played for Young Boys, Wolfsburg and Fulham while earning 25 caps for Switzerland.
Midtjylland are captained by former Brentford centre-back Mads Bech Sorensen, while veteran goalkeeper Jonas Lossl also played for the Premier League club, as well as Huddersfield Town in the English top flight.

The main thing is staying the tie, ensuring whatever result we get means we're still in the tie next week.
I think we've got the character. The quality in the squad and the fans that could really get behind the team at Easter Road and overcome a defeat or turn a draw into a win next week.

Looking at Hibs, I think they're stronger than they were last year. You'd expect this type of occasion to bring the best out of these players.
This is the level you want to be playing at. These are the opponents you want to test yourselves against.
I'm really intrigued and excited to see how Hibs are going to look tonight.

Title: Hibs' long wait to beat Danes
Content: Midtjylland v Hibernian (18:30)
Hibs' reward for ending their long wait to lift the Scottish Cup in 2016 was a meeting with Brondby at the same stage of this competition.
The Danes left Easter Road with a 1-0 victory, but present head coach David Gray found an equaliser in Copenhagen to take the second leg to a penalty shootout, with Scotland midfielder John McGinn the only player to miss from the spot.
Previously, Hibs lost to Odense on away goals in Intertoto Cup second round in 2006.
They have to go back to 1962 for a win over Danish opponents - beating Staevnet in 1962 in Fairs Cup, 7-2 on aggregate.

Twelve months ago, Hibs were struggling to get to grips with Kelty Hearts in the group stages of the League Cup.
How times have changed for David Gray and his players as their quest to enter the Europa League proper begins in earnest here in Denmark.
There is a confidence within the squad and why wouldn't there be? The vast majority of the players finished last season in fine style and look like they have added real quality in the summer.
The hosts this evening, though, are no mugs. Midtjylland are regulars in various European competitions and will definitely be a severe test, both this evening and next week at Easter Road.

Title: Thomasberg vows to 'take risks'
Content: Midtjylland v Hibernian (18:30)
Midtjylland head coach Thomas Thomasberg tells BBC Scotland: "We are ready, we are at home, we need to try to get a result.
"We'll try to attack but also have a good idea of how we'll defend. If you want to go to the Europa League, you've got to win three and this is the first of the three.
"I know Hibs are ready, they want to fight, they want to show they are a good team. We are prepared, so we will try to push them back from the beginning.
"We are an attacking team, sometimes the opponent will score, but we will need to score more than them. We are always taking some kind of risk."

Title: 'A difficult task' - Gray
Content: Midtjylland v Hibernian (18:30)
Hibs head coach David Gray tells BBC Scotland: "It's something the fans have been able to look forward to for a long time. They live it and breathe it with us every single week and they need to enjoy these moments. Hopefully now we can put on a performance and send them home happy."
As for his new midfielders, Gray adds: "The two of them [Jamie McGrath and Josh Mulligan] have settled in really well. They've both played in Scotland, they know what it's all about.
"Jamie's played in Europe before, so there's experience that comes with that and Josh gives you loads of legs and energy in the middle of the pitch, which we'll need.
"It's a difficult task, we know that, but what better place to play your first competitive game than trying to qualify for the Europa League."

While Hibs have only played pre-season friendlies, Thomas Thomasberg's home side have already played once in the Danish top flight.
Turkish striker Aral Simsir comes into the side after their 3-3 draw at home to OB Odense in place of midfielder Dani Silva.
Not surprisingly, Franculino Djú, the 21-year-old forward attracting interest from throughout Europe, starts after his two goals at the weekend.

Title: Hibs eye first group stage
Content: Midtjylland v Hibernian (18:30)
While Midtjylland are aiming for a seventh involvement at group level across Uefa's competitions in just 25 years of existence, Hibs have yet to do so as they celebrate their 150th anniversary.
The Leith side have failed in six attempts to progress through the qualifiers in the last 15 years, which explains why the Danes are ranked 166 places above Hibs at 71st in the European rankings.
They came closest two season's ago, when they progressed through two rounds of Conference League qualifying before being thrashed 8-0 on aggregate in the play-off round by Aston Villa.
However, Gray's side will hope to continue last season's form, when they moved from the bottom of the Scottish Premiership in early December to seal third place with a game to spare after equalling a club-record run of 17 league games unbeaten.

Hibs injury news pre-Dundee: Three players out + three major doubts for Scottish Premiership curtain-raiser

Hibs will kickstart their 2025/26 Scottish Premiership campaign when they travel to take on Dundee at Dens Park on Sunday - but there are injury concerns for both managers. David Gray's side will head to Tayside this weekend after being eliminated from the Europa League second qualifying round against Danish side FC Midtjylland on Thursday night. And the Easter Road boss will have to assess his squad closely ahead of kick-off in the hope his players are none the worse for their European excursions, which saw them play 120 minutes. The Dark Blues head into the game following back-to-back victories to end a disappointing Premier Sports Cup campaign, with the pressure already on new boss Steven Pressley to try to win over large sections of the fanbase. Nicky Cadden (Hibs) - DOUBT Felt his hamstring tighten up late on against FC Midtjylland and came off at half-time in extra-time as a precaution | SNS Group Photo Sales 2 . That was the message coming out of the Hibs camp less than an hour after a painful European defeat by Midtjylland. As well as Hibs did in competing with an accomplished and seasoned European opponent before succumbing to a Junior Brumado bicycle kick in the last minute of extra time in their Europa League qualifier, it is back to the bread and butter for David Gray's men. The domestic season kicks off on Sunday for the Hibees with a trip to Dens Park to face Dundee. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Hibs finished third in the Premiership last season, which permitted them to enjoy a night like Thursday against Midtjylland. While Hibs were defeated 3-2 on aggregate by the Danes, they remain in Europe and have a Conference League third qualifying round match against Partizan Belgrade to navigate next week. The matches come thick and fast. Hibs' Warren O'Hora looks on after the defeat by Midtjylland. | SNS Group For Hibs' Irish defender Warren O'Hora, the past two weeks have been a huge learning curve. The 25-year-old is experiencing European football for the first time in his career and wants more. Performing well in the league opens the door to that once more. 'Devastated is probably the word for it,' O'Hora said to sum up the feeling in the Hibs dressing-room after Thursday night. 'We gave it our all over two legs. The goals that they scored over two legs are of very, very high quality. A free-kick, a 20-yard strike and an overhead kick, which is very, very hard to take. 'Did they cut us open much? Did they have chances? Not as much. It didn't really feel like it on the pitch. I felt like we had chances as well, but to lose a game with two goals like that tonight is a very hard one to take.' Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad From Dens Park to the Balkans Belgrade may be looming but O'Hora is looking closer to home first. 'That's next week,' he said. 'The league starts on Sunday, we regroup right now. We can come out of this game with two legs with our heads held high. We went toe-to-toe 200 odd minutes with a team at a very, very high level. I don't think we have anything to be ashamed of. 'We have a lot of positives to take into Sunday. It's definitely going to be a tough game. It's the first game of the season, we want to start well. We have no time to let our heads hang. We'll come in, we'll recover, and we'll go through everything. 'We'll definitely look at things we could have done better. I'm not saying we'll just go away from the game, but we'll definitely look at things where we can improve, because that's what we've been doing through the whole start. Midtjylland celebrate their winning goal at Easter Road. | SNS Group 'Since I've come to the club, that's the way it works. After every performance, we look at what we can do better, what we did well. But like I said, we can't let it linger. The changing room we have, us boys won't let anybody feel sorry for themselves or anything like that, because it's in the past now, we can't control it. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad 'We still have another opportunity next week [in Europe], but at the end of this season, you want to be able to do something here in Europe again. That is obviously a goal that we'll set, no doubt about it. But we need to start taking it game by game, and we'll start this Sunday.' Hibs started last season poorly, losing 3-0 to St Mirren. It set the tone for a miserable first three months of the league campaign in which they won just one match before turning things around spectacularly from December onwards and finishing third. There is no doubt the squad that Gray has assembled has character. Hibs did not feel overawed O'Hora listed the attributes that were on show against Midtjylland. 'Discipline, work-rate,' he said. 'I think we always knew that we'd probably have to give up some possession, that we'll get into areas. I think we worked our socks off. I thought we started at both legs really, really well. We got a disallowed goal today as well, and the first leg started really well. 'We can play against that level, we believed. We knew for ourselves, we believed that we can get something from this game, and we did, we brought a draw back to Easter Road, which is exactly what we needed. Obviously you want to win, but you want to bring something back, you don't want to lose the tie. I think today's performance showed that we can play against opposition at this level.' Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad There was a special moment against the Danes in extra time when Rocky Bushiri levelled. Easter Road celebrated wildly. It ultimately didn't give Hibs what they wanted - but it was a goal to relish. O'Hora wants more of that. Easter Road was left delighted by Rocky Bushiri's strike. | SNS Group 'That's why you play football, isn't it?' he added. 'It's for moments like that. It's so nice. Rocky scored so many important goals for us last year, and he's just scored another one for us this year. That's a credit to him. He's a real goal threat in the box. 'You can see the reaction from the fans, singing his name. You see everybody celebrating, the whole bench celebrates. There's boys that didn't play, didn't start, didn't come on, whatever. 'But it's all forgotten about, that's how together this group has been since we've first come in. And we showed that today, and we're going to need that tenfold for the whole season, which no doubt we will.'
