PLAY TEAMSHEET: Can YOU name the Liverpool side that thrashed Arsenal 4-1 in March 2007? Or pick YOUR team and guess their starting XI

Daily Mail12-05-2025

Welcome back to Teamsheet... Mail Sport's original football memory game with a twist that gives you the chance to test your football knowledge against your mates.
In light of Liverpool and Arsenal 's dramatic 2-2 draw on Sunday, we thought we'd take you back to March 2007 when the Reds hammered the Gunners 4-1 at Anfield.
That day, one man returned from a broken nose lay-off to score his first club hat-trick, while another Reds giant glanced home a header. But do you have ANY clue who lined up for Liverpool?
It's just for fun, so see how you fare and share your Teamsheet score... full instructions on how to play are at the bottom of the article and in the game itself. And you can also pick any team you like and guess their starting XI.
Best of luck!
HOW TO PLAY
The aim of the game is to score as few points as possible!
If you guess a player at the first attempt you score one point - so the lowest score for guessing every player at the first attempt is 11.
Guess a correct letter in the right position, and it'll turn green. Guess a correct letter but in the wrong position, and it'll turn yellow.
You have six guesses for each player - and if you fail, we'll reveal their identity for 11 points! You can also ask for a free letter, but it costs you a point.
So play on to see if you'll score the best possible total of 11 - or fail on every player and score 121.

Germany v Portugal: Nations League semi-final

Update: Date: 2025-06-04T17:45:45.000Z Title: Preamble Content: If you can't wait for the Club World Cup and Euro 2025 to fill your days, there's another major tournament finale squeezed into football's almost non-existent summer break. The men's Nations League finals kick off in Germany, with the hosts seeking a trophy to somewhat atone for falling short at last year's home Euros. They face Portugal in the semi-final in Munich, with France and Spain contesting the other semi in Stuttgart. It's been an exciting run to the final four for both these teams; in the new two-legged quarter-finals, Germany squeezed past Italy 5-4 on aggregate, while Portugal were minutes from defeat to Denmark before winning 5-3 on aggregate in extra time. This is Germany's first run to the final four; Portugal won the first finals back in 2019. Still, Julian Nagelsmann's side start as favourites at the Allianz Arena tonight. Liverpool fans may be hoping to get a glimpse of Florian Wirtz in action tonight, with the hosts likely to field a strong line-up despite injuries to Jamal Musiala, Kai Havertz and others. The Portugal coach, Roberto Martínez, must decide whether to call on PSG heroes Vitinha, Nuno Mendes and João Neves, who lit up this very stadium four night ago. And will he start Cristiano Ronaldo, 40, up front? Readers, he probably will. Kick-off is at 8pm BST; team news and buildup to come.

Finland accidentally call up 51-year-old retiree for international duty

Finland women's national team manager has apologised for mistakenly calling up a long-retired 51-year-old for this week's game against Serbia. When submitting the lineup, manager Outi Saarinen mistakenly entered former player Stina Ruuskanen instead of 23-year-old Djurgarden defender Nanne Ruuskanen. The error was not discovered until past deadline. Ruuskanen, who received her call-up 29 years after playing two senior internationals for Finland, took the mix-up in good humour. "I'm definitely ready if the call comes! Just yesterday I was playing in a hobby league match... so my game feel is good," she told the Finnish newspaper Ilta-Sanomat. The younger Ruuskanen, who is no relation, was unable to take part in the Nations League match, a 1-1 draw in Helsinki on Tuesday. "Nanne was, of course, disappointed but took the news very well considering the circumstances," Saarinen said in a statement from the Finnish Football Association. "I am very sorry for the mistake."
