DigiCert and Panasonic Industry Europe Join Forces to Simplify and Accelerate Adoption of Matter Smart Home Device Certification

Business Upturn15-05-2025

Lehi, Utah, May 15, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — DigiCert, a leading global provider of digital trust, today announced it has partnered with Panasonic Industry Europe to integrate DigiCert® Device Trust Manager with Panasonic's PAN-MaX intelligent manufacturing service for seamless Matter certification of interoperable smart home devices. The integration provides manufacturers with a faster, more efficient process for delivering secure, standards-compliant devices to market.
The partnership comes at a critical time as smart home device manufacturers face rising pressure to meet security, compliance, and interoperability demands amid rapid market growth. With the global smart home market projected to grow from $147.52 billion in 2025 to $633.20 billion by 2032 (CAGR of 23.1%, per Fortune Business Insights), the integration of DigiCert Device Trust Manager with Panasonic's PAN-MaX service streamlines Matter certification and accelerates delivery of secure, standards-compliant devices.
'DigiCert is a key contributor to Matter and one of the few trusted authorities that can issue Matter device attestation certificates,' said Kevin Hilscher, Senior Director, Product Management at DigiCert. 'Through our partnership with Panasonic Industry Europe, customers can now request certificates instantly through a fully automated system, eliminating extra steps and streamlining security. The process helps manufacturers focus on innovation, ensuring that security and Matter certification accelerate business rather than slow it down.'
'The smart home revolution requires a foundation of trust to thrive,' said Chetan Joshi, Lead Product Manager at Panasonic Industry Europe. 'Panasonic Industry Europe and DigiCert are setting a new standard for trust, where smart home devices aren't just connected, but secure and certified from the moment they're built. By combining Panasonic's innovative PAN-MaX certification service with DigiCert's industry-leading attestation services, we're making sure manufacturers have an effortless path to Matter certification without trading speed for security.'
For years, manufacturers have struggled with integrating security and certification into production. Too often, they're treated as an afterthought, leading to costly delays and compliance challenges. By integrating DigiCert Device Trust Manager with PAN-MaX, manufacturers receive: Automatic device attestation certificate (DAC) issuance: Certificates are requested and applied in real-time, without manual intervention and DAC provide encryption, identity, and authentication to devices. Built-in security and compliance: Wireless modules are Matter-ready, with authentication built in from day one. Faster time-to-market: No more waiting for manual certificate approvals. Security happens on the production line.
About Matter
Matter is the interoperability standard launched by the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA) and developed by the biggest names in smart home technology, including CSA members DigiCert and Panasonic. Matter aims to create a universal language that allows smart devices to communicate across ecosystems like Apple Home, Google Home, and Amazon Alexa.
For manufacturers, Matter compliance isn't just a feature —it's a requirement. Every Matter device must have a Device Attestation Certificate (DAC), a digital proof of compliance issued by a CSA-approved Product Attestation Authority (PAA). DigiCert is a PAA with many Matter certification customers. Without a DAC, a device simply won't function within a Matter ecosystem, creating delays, challenges and missed opportunities in an ultra-competitive market.

Earn up to 110,000 bonus miles with a new Delta SkyMiles credit card

American Express and Delta are out with all-new welcome bonus offers across three personal credit cards within the Delta SkyMiles suite: Delta SkyMiles® Gold American Express Card: Earn 80,000 bonus miles after spending $3,000 on eligible purchases in your first six months of card membership. Delta SkyMiles® Platinum American Express Card: Earn 90,000 bonus miles after spending $4,000 on eligible purchases in your first six months of card membership. Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card: Earn 100,000 bonus miles after spending $6,000 on eligible purchases in your first six months of card membership. There are also new offers on Delta business cards: Delta SkyMiles® Gold Business American Express Card: Earn 90,000 bonus miles after spending $6,000 on eligible purchases in your first six months of card membership. Delta SkyMiles® Platinum Business American Express Card: Earn 100,000 bonus miles after spending $8,000 on eligible purchases in your first six months of card membership. Delta SkyMiles® Reserve Business American Express Card: Earn 110,000 bonus miles after spending $12,000 on eligible purchases in your first six months of card membership. With over 290 destinations across six continents and more than 200 million customers served in 2024, Delta is one of the most well-known airlines worldwide. And you could reduce much of the upfront cost of flying to one of Delta's global destinations if you're able to take advantage of these generous sign-up bonuses. It depends on how you redeem the miles, but we value Delta SkyMiles at an average of 1.18 cents each. That means 100,000 miles equals about $1,180. However, as with many airline credit cards, the exact value of your miles depends on how you use them. Since Delta uses dynamic pricing, you can see different values with each redemption. You can find plenty of value with 100,000 (give or take, depending on the welcome offer) Delta SkyMiles. This is especially true when accounting for the TakeOff 15 benefit, which provides an automatic 15% discount on eligible award flights for Delta SkyMiles cardholders. Let's take a look at some possible redemptions. You can fly from Los Angeles (LAX) to Auckland (AKL) for 38,200 miles. The cash price for the same flight is $1,341, giving you a redemption value of about 3.5 cents per mile ($1,341 / 38,200 = 0.035104). You'll still have plenty of miles left to figure out your return flight, which could mean including a stop in Australia after visiting Hobbiton (and while you're in the area). This flight from Salt Lake City (SLC) to Mexico City (MEX) will only set you back 26,300 miles. The redemption value for this flight is about 1.5 cents per mile, which is better than our average valuation. And with miles to spare, you can bring some friends or work on covering the return leg home. You don't have to get fancy with your redemptions; a short flight will do just fine if it saves you money, especially if it's a route you frequently take. Consider this example: A flight between Atlanta (ATL) and Miami (MIA) that costs 8,300 miles or $117. With 100,000 miles, you could take this flight 12 times, giving you plenty of opportunities for vacations or visiting friends and family. This particular flight has a redemption value of about 1.4 cents per mile. See which flavor — Gold, Platinum, or Reserve — of Delta SkyMiles card is the best fit for you. Consider which Delta SkyMiles business card is right for you if you run a small best Delta SkyMiles credit card for you depends on your goals and spending habits. If you only fly occasionally, maybe a few times per year, we recommend the Delta SkyMiles Gold Amex Card. This card has the lowest annual fee but still provides one of the best benefits: a free checked bag. With only a few roundtrip flights, you can offset the annual fee in saved baggage charges. If you travel a lot, a card like the Delta SkyMiles Platinum Amex Card or Delta SkyMiles Reserve Amex Card may make more sense. These cards have higher annual fees, but they also provide more benefits. For example, the Delta Reserve Amex Card offers Delta Sky Club Access (at least 15 visits each Medallion year), which could come in handy the more you find yourself in airports. Business owners can apply for the personal or business versions of the Delta SkyMiles credit cards. The business credit cards are largely the same as their personal variants, but their welcome offers require increased spending, so keep that in mind when making your decision. All the Delta SkyMiles credit cards associated with these new welcome offers have annual fees. If you want to avoid an annual fee at all costs, consider no-annual-fee credit Disclosure: The information in this article has not been reviewed or approved by any advertiser. Nasdaq 100 Index Today: QQQ Jumps on U.S.-China Trade Developments, Tesla Turnaround

The Nasdaq 100 (NDX) is in green territory on Friday after falling by 0.80% on Thursday. The technology index is rising following positive signs in the U.S.-China trade relationship and a better-than-expected jobs report. Confident Investing Starts Here: This morning, nonfarm payroll job additions for May tallied in at 139,000, well above the 126,000 forecasted by economists. However, May's reading was still below the 147,000 jobs added in April and the monthly average within the past year of 149,000 jobs. Furthermore, the May unemployment rate was 4.2%, which remained unchanged from April and in line with the rate between 4.0% and 4.2% over the past year. In a sign of easing tensions between the U.S. and China, Beijing has granted suppliers of three top U.S. automakers with temporary rare earth export licenses. Rare earth elements are critical in the production of semiconductors, cars, and planes, providing China with leverage in negotiating trade terms given its near-monopoly on them. On top of that, Boeing (BA) has resumed the shipment of commercial jets to China. This morning, a Boeing 737 Max aircraft began its journey to Hawaii, a stop on its way to Zhoushan, China, where the delivery will be finalized. The Nasdaq 100 is up by 1.20% at the time of writing.
