
Northern Ont. police arrest man on firearm, assault charges
A 26-year-old North Bay man has been charged following a weapons-related incident last week, the North Bay Police Service announced in a news release.
Officers responded to a report involving threats and a firearm on July 10. Investigators identified and arrested the suspect, who was found to be in breach of several court-imposed conditions at the time of his arrest.
The accused faces multiple offences, including assault with a weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, pointing a firearm, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm and failing to comply with a probation order along with four other additional firearm-related offences.
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
