Instead, the royals have focused on "tackling homelessness and rural mental health through their Royal Foundation and spotlighting innovative solutions to climate change through the Earthshot Prize, an environmental award founded by William in 2020."
In addition to Prince William and Kate Middleton, others in the Innovators category included , , , Tony Hawkand many others.
Not included in any category of the Time100 Philanthropy 2025 list, however, were the Duke and Duchess of Sussex—despite their history of charity work through the Archewell Foundation and the Invictus Games.

'However, over the last few years while they have lived at Adelaide Cottage there have been some really difficult times.' 'Moving gives them an opportunity for a fresh start and a new chapter; an opportunity to leave some of the more unhappy memories behind,' the source added. Unlike Adelaide Cottage, William and Kate are said to see the move to Forest Lodge as a 'long-term' move into their 'forever home.' 10 The entrance hall of Forest Lodge. William and Kate were living at Adelaide Cottage, which is not far from Windsor Castle, when the princess was diagnosed with cancer last year. 'In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London and at the time, it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous. The surgery was successful,' Kate announced in March 2024. 'The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family,' Kate said Sept. 9. 'You put on a sort of brave face, stoicism through treatment. Treatment's done, then it's like, 'I can crack on, get back to normal,' but actually, the phase afterwards is really, really difficult,' she said in July. 'You're not necessarily under the clinical team any longer, but you're not able to function normally at home as you perhaps once used to,' William's wife added last month.

Prince William and Kate Middleton to start 'new beginnings' in new home
The Prince and Princess of Wales are to move into a new home in Windsor. William and Kate are moving to an eight-bedroom home in Windsor Great Park, with their children, George, Charlotte, and Louis. A Kensington Palace spokesperson said: 'The Wales family will move house later this year.' According to The Sun, the royal couple are paying for the property and renovations themselves, avoiding any extra cost to the taxpayer. The paper reported that work has already started on a minor renovation at the Grade II-listed property. The move will be a short one from their current main home at Adelaide Cottage in Windsor, and the children attend nearby Lambrook School. They also have homes at Anmer Hall in Norfolk and Apartment 1A in Kensington Palace in London. As heir to the throne, William inherited the Duchy of Cornwall estate, a portfolio of land, property and investments valued at more than £1 billion, when his father became King. According to The Sun, Forest Lodge would be worth about £16 million on the open market. The King owns the freehold.
