
Cabinet okays draft MoU between interior ministry, US investigation bureau for security cooperation
DOHA: Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani has chaired the Cabinet's regular meeting at the Amiri Diwan.
Following the meeting, Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs HE Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi stated the following:
At the outset of the meeting, the Cabinet extended sincere greetings to HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha, asking Allah Almighty to return this blessed occasion for His Highness with the best of health and wellness, and for the State of Qatar and its people further development and prosperity under the wise leadership of HH the Amir, as well as the Arab and Islamic nations with goodness and blessings.
The Cabinet reviewed the topics on its agenda, noting the Shura Council's approval of a draft law extending the concession granted to Mowasalat (Karwa), a Qatari joint stock company, to manage and operate taxis.
The Cabinet approved a draft agreement on mutual administrative assistance for the optimal application of customs law and for the suppression, investigation and combating of customs violations between the governments of the State of Qatar and the Republic of Tunisia.
The Cabinet also approved a draft memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Interior of the State of Qatar and the Federal Bureau of Investigation in the United States of America regarding security cooperation, a draft memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Interior of the State of Qatar and the Department of Homeland Security in the United States of America regarding the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and a draft memorandum of understanding in the field of law enforcement between the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) in the State of Qatar and the US Federal Bureau of Investigation.
The Cabinet approved a draft memorandum of understanding for cooperation in legal fields between the Ministry of Justice in the State of Qatar and the Ministry of Justice in the Republic of Albania, a draft memorandum of understanding on joint cooperation between the Public Prosecution in the State of Qatar and the Public Prosecution in the Arab Republic of Egypt, and a draft memorandum of understanding in the field of cultural heritage preservation between the Qatar Museums in the State of Qatar and the Hong Kong Palace Museum in Hong Kong, People's Republic of China.
The Cabinet's meeting concluded with a review of the reports of the Grievances Committee of the Qatar Financial Markets Authority on grievances that the committee considered from 01/07/2023-31/12/2023, and from 01/01/2024 to 30/6/2024, and a report on the results of the participation of the delegation of the State of Qatar, headed by HE Minister of Social Development and Family, in the 69th session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women in New York in March 2025.

Amir to receive Eid Al Adha well-wishers today
QNA Doha The Amiri Diwan announced that His Highness the Amir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani will receive Eid Al Adha well-wishers at Lusail Palace on the first day of Eid as follows: Immediately after Eid prayer and until 6:00 am: Their Excellencies sheikhs, ministers, Shura Council speaker, ministries' undersecretaries, Shura Council members, and citizens. From 6:00 am to 6:15 am: the officers of the Armed Forces and the Ministry of Interior, as well as directors of departments and national institutions. From 6:15 am to 6:30 am, His Highness will receive Their Excellencies heads of diplomatic missions accredited to the country. HH The Amir will receive immediately after Al Asr prayer until 3:45 pm Their Excellencies sheikhs and citizens. The Amiri Diwan wished that this blessed occasion be full of goodness and blessings for Qatar, and the Arab and Islamic nations.

QC set to accept Udhiyah donations until sunset on day 4 of Eid Al-Adha
Tribune News Network Doha Qatar Charity (QC) continues to receive donations for the Udhiyah project as part of the Dhul-Hijjah Campaign for the 1446 AH—2025 season, which was launched under the theme 'Greatest Days'. Donations can be made through Qatar Charity's website and mobile application, at its branches, or through its collectors across the country until shortly sunset on the fourth day of Eid Al-Adha. Qatar Charity urged benevolent citizens and residents to continue donating to the campaign to provide meat to the needy and the underprivileged and bring joy to them on Eid Al-Adha. Donations are accepted through Qatar Charity's branches and its collectors in malls and commercial centres until midnight of Eid (12:00 AM on the Day of Arafat). Then, collection points of Qatar Charity in shopping malls and its various branches will continue to accept donations from the second day of Eid al-Adha until shortly before sunset on the fourth day of Eid. Qatar Charity invites donations to the campaign. Contributions can be made conveniently through Qatar Charity's website [ Also, a 'Home Collector' can be requested through the app ( in addition to dialling 44920000 for this purpose. Furthermore, benefactors can donate at Qatar Charity's branches, as well as at its collection points in the commercial complexes. Qatar Charity's Adahi project, supported by generous donors, plans to distribute meat from around 45,300 sheep and cattle across 40 countries, including Qatar, reaching over 850,000 people in need. The project will focus on crisis-affected countries and regions such as Syria, Palestine, including Gaza, Sudan, Yemen, and Somalia. In Qatar, Qatar Charity's Adahi project will distribute sacrificial meat from 4,000 sheep to around 30,000 individuals, spreading the joy of Eid. Outside of Qatar, the meat of nearly 41,300 sacrifices is expected to be distributed to approximately 826,000 people in 39 countries across Africa, Asia, and Europe.
