Book Influencer Killed in Shocking Stabbing Incident
A popular Brazilian book influencer was tragically killed last week in a horrific stabbing incident.
Tais Bruna de Castro, 36, was stabbed to death while working at the Beco Fino shopping center in Jundiaí, São Paulo on Monday, June 2. According to CNN Brasil, Castro was killed by Cláudio Elizeu, 40, a cleaner at the shopping complex.
Castro was having lunch when she was attacked. Elizeu, who turned himself in to authorities and was arrested, said he killed the social media personality because she was not interested in his romantic advances.
Elizeu reportedly stabbed Castro at least 20 times and also broke into an office area, where he damaged furniture, doors and windows.
After news of Castro's death began circulating, the Instagram account she operated--Leitora Fashion, or "Reader Fashion--released a heartbreaking tribute post.
"This week, our dear Tais Bruna, the owner of this profile, left us in a very sad and even unbelievable way," the caption for the post reads. "Fashion Reader was one of her joys. Talking about literature, suggesting new works and chatting with you guys here made her day happier. We, the family, sincerely appreciate all the messages and prayers dedicated to her. Her smile, her sweetness and all the joy she always spread will stay in our hearts forever.
"Today heaven gained one of the most special people that has ever passed through this world. Tais, we will love you forever! ❤️."

A tourist has sparked outrage after being filmed walking up to a wild bison in Yellowstone National Park and taking a small child with them. The shocking incident was captured on video, with users accusing the person of child endangerment. She told The Independent that she and her husband had been having lunch at the Pebble Creek picnic area, when they heard shouting and saw a few parents with small children making their way towards a bison. 'We also shouted with the others but none of these families responded and kept getting closer,' she said. 'The people next to me were on the phone with park services so I decided to start recording in case of an incident and evidence was needed.' Gunderson and her husband are hunters, and so are familiar with the safe distances needed around larger wildlife. In addition, she said, they had planned their 20th anniversary vacation celebration for Yellowstone and had seen similar videos of tourists approaching bison. 'We have watched and followed the Tourons of Yellowstone Instagram account and shaken our heads at some of the things posted. Never in our wildest dreams would we witness it in person,' she told The Independent. 'I was shocked that people would get that close to a wild animal let alone bring small children with them.' The word 'touron' – combining tourist and moron – refers to someone who ignores the dangers around them while on vacation. According to the National Parks Service a fully grown male bison can weigh up to 2,000 pounds, while a female can weigh up to 1,000 pounds. They can be aggressive, are agile and can run up to 30 miles an hour. Though neither the tourist or the child were hurt, cases of animal attacks are common in Yellowstone. On Tuesday tourist was gored after 'a large group of visitors approached it too closely,' park officials said. The 30-year-old man, from Randolph, New Jersey, sustained minor injuries and received treatment at the scene, according to park officials.

Popular rock band's stolen custom guitar has been found, mandolin still missing
Police in New Jersey have recovered one of 'two irreplaceable instruments' that were stolen from rock band Heart. A custom purple sparkle baritone Telecaster guitar, made for guitarist Nancy Wilson, was returned after a woman bought it from the theft suspect, the Associated Press reported. Surveillance video caught the suspect giving the guitar to a woman who put it in her car before parking a few blocks away from the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, where it had been stolen on the eve of their May 31. Police identified the vehicle by using automated license plate readers, the AP reported. Officers then tracked its location and contacted the owner, who voluntarily surrendered the instrument. The person she allegedly bought the guitar from has been charged with burglary and theft, the AP reported. Heart's other stolen instrument, a vintage 1966 Gibson EM-50 mandolin played by Paul Moak for more than 25 years, is still missing. 'These instruments are more than just tools of our trade — they're extensions of our musical souls,' Wilson previously said in a statement shared to Instagram. 'The baritone Tele was made uniquely for me, and Paul's mandolin has been with him for decades,' she said. 'We're heartbroken, and we're asking for their safe return — no questions asked. Their value to us is immeasurable.' Heart is offering a reward for information leading to the return of the instrument. During testimony on Thursday, an alleged victim detailed how she met metro Atlanta rapper John Michael Gibson, who is also known as Cash Out.
