The exhibition is the largest of its kind in the UAE and the region, organised by Expo Centre Sharjah with support from the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It features over 500 exhibitors and more than 1,800 top designers, manufacturers, and specialists representing major global companies in watches, gold, gemstones, and rare jewelry.
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem Al Qasimi toured the exhibition, viewing the displays and designs, and listened to detailed explanations from exhibitors about their products and innovative techniques in crafting and design, as well as the latest trends in the gold and jewelry sector.
The Deputy Ruler also visited local and international exhibition platforms, including Emirati designers showcasing contemporary interpretations of Emirati heritage in gold and unique designs.
Spanning a total area of 30,000 square meters, the exhibition serves as an ideal platform for deals, partnerships, and insights into design trends in the gold and jewelry markets.
This edition sees participation from exhibitors from Russia, Mexico, Tanzania, and Egypt, alongside leading companies from the UAE, India, Italy, the UK, the US, Singapore, China, Japan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Lebanon, showcasing exclusive designs for 2025.
This year, the exhibition also set a new Guinness World Record for the longest diamond necklace, measuring 108 meters, made from over 600 lab-created diamonds and 18-carat rose gold.
A series of specialised programs and workshops will be held alongside the exhibition, offering participants the opportunity to enhance their skills and knowledge about recent developments in the global jewelry industry.
Accompanying the Deputy Ruler during the opening were several officials, including Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and other prominent figures.

20 Aug 2025 12:14 ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)The Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development (KFED) has successfully completed the first edition of its Future Entrepreneur programme, aiming to foster entrepreneurial skills among youth aged 6 to 18 years. The programme aimed at fostering innovation, empowering young people with financial management skills, and building a new generation of Emirati entrepreneurs using tools for excellence in a practical environment under the guidance of a committee of Future Entrepreneur Programme attracted applications from more than 1,000 individuals, with 948 invited to take part in a training focused on financial literacy and the fundamentals of entrepreneurship. Following the training, participants joined an interactive workshop aimed at identifying the most promising ideas. Out of the invited applicants in the training, 134 youth were selected to a final three-day the bootcamp, participants developed their business ideas across three main pathways. These included 25 projects involving 70 students in the food and beverage sector, 16 projects with 33 students focusing on goods and merchandise, and 13 projects featuring 30 students in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). The 54 projects also participated in a marketplace where they had the chance to live a real-world experience and sell their products and services to more than 350 attendees. The programme concluded with a marketplace showcase, where participants presented their products and services before a judging panel that evaluated each project based on creativity and commercial Obaid Al Nasri, CEO of Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development, said: 'The Future Entrepreneur programme is a key pillar in supporting Abu Dhabi's vision to promote entrepreneurship among young people. Our goal is to establish a culture of innovation among youth and equip them to start ventures that support the diversification and sustainability of the national economy." She added: "The programme's results demonstrate the strong enthusiasm of the younger generation to turn their ideas into impactful projects, and also affirm the success of our approach, which combines theoretical knowledge and practical application.'The programme took place in Nabdh Al Falah Community Hub in Al Falah City, offering participants an opportunity to register and select their preferred pathway under the Inventor or Trader categories. The training camp implemented a comprehensive framework for identifying promising talent, using criteria such as innovation and problem-solving skills. Participants received expert guidance across different phases of the programme. The camp emphasised practical learning by allowing youth to apply their skills in real-world scenarios such as operating food kiosks and marketing STEM-based products, giving them the opportunity to test their ideas in a simulated market environment. At the conclusion of the camp, the most outstanding projects were selected to join the Future Builders Launchpad. This phase provides both financial and technical support to help turn their ideas into business ventures. Graduates will also receive guidance through the ongoing mentorship programmes, ensuring their long-term success in the broader entrepreneurial ecosystem. The initiative embodies the vision of the UAE's leadership to empower Emirati youth to actively contribute to the nation's comprehensive and sustainable pioneering national initiative translates the country's agenda into tangible action by preparing a generation of capable, forward-thinking leaders ready to advance the future economy. Targeting high-achieving Emirati students in Grades 11 and 12, the initiative aligns with the strategic objectives of Education Interface, FAB, and the MoE in the areas of community empowerment, corporate social responsibility, national talent development, and enhancing the economic and professional readiness of the next initiative's framework combined academic enrichment, leadership, professional evaluation, and hands-on experience within a real banking environment. It was built on a rigorous and data-driven selection and assessment process, beginning with a pre-nominated list of more than 600 of the nation's top-performing students, referred by the MoE based on academic then progressed through several qualitative evaluation stages, including an initial academic filter for students achieving averages above 95 per cent, producing a shortlist of 400 candidates; the NYFP Leadership and Sectoral Alignment Assessment, designed to identify students with a specific interest in the financial and banking sectors; a comprehensive review of prior training experience, extracurricular achievements, and demonstrated maturity; a strategic essay-based evaluation for the most committed and exceptional participants; leadership capacity and professional vision these stages, only 30 students, representing the nation's most prepared and capable future leaders, were selected. Their performance reflected an exceptional combination of academic intelligence, leadership presence, and professional participants received official certificates recognising their success in completing the initiative. In addition, they were granted access to a flexible training programme across FAB's branches, tailored to their locations. The NYFP aims to cultivate the next generation of Emirati leaders in the financial sector, setting a benchmark for institutional collaboration between public and private entities, and strengthening youth participation in shaping a competitive, knowledge-based NYFP is a national platform for developing high-calibre leaders capable of driving transformation and influencing the future of the financial landscape. By investing in young talent, enhancing analytical skills, and bridging education with the realities of the job market, the programme advances the UAE's long-term vision of empowering its youth as a driving force for sustainable Mouza Saeed Al Badi, Chief Executive Officer of the Education Interface, affirmed that this initiative is a direct outcome of the platform's mandate under the patronage and support of His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan. 19 Aug 2025 23:45 SARA ALZAABI (ABU DHABI)UAE retail investors are showing strong confidence in domestic stock markets, according to the latest UAE Retail Investor Beat by impressive 85% of investors are currently holding UAE-listed stocks: split across Abu Dhabi (39%), Dubai (28%), and both markets (18%).This growing preference is underpinned by widespread optimism. A total of 63% of investors are very confident in the UAE's current economic performance, the report noted.A total of 59% of respondents said they are 'very confident' in the long-term performance of UAE stocks, and 48% are expecting significant gains over the next 58% believe the Middle East will offer the best returns over the next five years, just ahead of the US at 50%.The most promising UAE sectors, according to the investors surveyed, include real estate (55%), technology (48%), financial services (37%), as well as energy (37%).Most are leaning deeper into UAE equities (53%) or shifting towards commodities (51%) like gold, which 49% cite as the most resilient remains a strong player too, with 54% already 65% have increased their portfolio contributions recently, and 76% expect to continue doing so in the coming quarter. George Naddaf, Managing Director of eToro MENA, spoke to Aletihad about how these trends align with eToro's latest move: the launch of 24/5 trading for UAE investors.
