"It's an operation in progress": Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi on Operation Sindoor
Nagpur (Maharashtra) [India], June 13 (ANI): Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi, said that Operation Sindoor is on a pause, but it is an operation in progress.
Speaking to ANI, Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi said, 'The Operation Sindoor is under pause, it is still underway. As a Naval Chief, I will reserve my comments on this. It's an operation in progress.'
On counter-drone systems, he said that non-contact warfare will stay, and this area of weapons and equipment was not catered to 10-12 years ago.
'It is undeniable that non-contact warfare is going to stay. In it, drones and loitering munitions and therefore, defence against them in terms of counter-drone systems, there is a whole series of weapons and equipment that one had probably not catered for 10-12 years ago,' he said on Thursday.
Earlier, Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi, accompanied by Chairman of Solar Industries India Limited, Satyanarayan Nuwal, reviewed the manufacturing processes of various defence products at the firm's headquarters in Nagpur on Thursday.
Speaking to ANI, the Navy Chief lauded the products and progress made by Solar Industries India Ltd. He added that there needs to be synergy between the public and private sectors, as the latter is new in defence production.
'It's really eye-opening to see what progress has been made by Solar (Solar Group) in the last 14-15 years. As far as the synergy between the public and private sectors in the defence ecosystem is concerned, it is a must because some public sector companies have been working in this field for many decades, and private companies are relatively new. So there is a need for them to talk to each other, learn from each other,' Admiral Tripathi told ANI.
Chairman of Solar Industries India Ltd, Satyanarayan Nuwal, said that they showed the Navy Chief their drones and Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS). They also showed the navy officials their Counter-Unmanned Aerial System, Bhargavastra.
Talking to ANI, Satyanarayan Nuwal said, 'Today, we mainly showed our facility with drones and Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS). We showed the composite manufacturing unit of UAS. We also showed Bhargavastra (Counter-Unmanned Aerial System) to them...This counter-drone system is a significant thing...Considering present situations, we learned that the biggest need is for long-range missiles. We have already presented a proposal in this regard...' (ANI)

New Delhi: In a first, the Israel Defense Forces has apologised for posting an incorrect map of India's international boundaries - which wrongly showed Jammu and Kashmir as belonging to Pakistan - on X. The IDF admitted the map "fails to precisely depict borders" but claimed it was only an "illustration of the region". The IDF's post followed tweets by Indian users, many quite furious, pointing out the error and urging the Israeli military to retract the post. India has made it clear that J&K and Ladakh, parts of which have been illegally occupied by Pakistan and China for decades, is and always will be an integral part of the country. That sentiment was repeated again by Prime Minister Modi in May, after the Pahalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor. The map also drew sharp responses from Indian X users, including one person who tagged Mr Netanyahu and demanded Israel "delete it, correct it, repost it". Bombay HC defers Celebi's appeal against Mumbai Airport's contract termination, awaits Delhi HC ruling
The Bombay High Court on Friday (June 13, 2025) has adjourned till July 10, 2025, the hearing of the petition filed by Celebi NAS Airport Services India Pvt Ltd, a Turkish-Indian joint venture providing ground handling services for airlines at various Indian airports, that has challenged the termination of its services by the Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL). The firm that has been providing services at various Indian airports, has faced multiple legal battles in Mumbai, Delhi, Gujarat and Chennai. On Friday, a Division Bench of Justices B. P. Colabawalla and Firdosh Pooniwalla was informed that overall, seven airports in India have cancelled the services of the Turkish airlines services firm and its subsidiaries. Representing the Union government, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta submitted to the Bench that the Turkish aviation firm has already filed similar petitions in the Delhi High Court and the Madras High Court seeking relief. 'The Delhi High Court has reserved its order after hearing extensive arguments from both sides. Thus, the Madras High Court has passed an order stating it will await the judgment of the Delhi High Court, since similarly worded arguments are made before Delhi High Court and its findings will have an impact on the issues in all the petitions,' Mr. Mehta told the judges and requested the Bench to consider passing a similar order and defer its proceedings until the Delhi High Court pronounces its verdict. Appearing for Celebi, senior advocate Chetan Kapadia, agreed with the Solicitor General's submission. The Bench considered the request and noted that it will wait for the Delhi High Court's verdict and adjourned the hearing till July 10, 2025. On May 26, 2025, the Bombay High Court restrained MIAL from finalising bids on May 17, to appoint a new agency and replace Çelebi's subsidiary for ground and bridge handling services at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. The High Court said that its order will operate until the matter is heard by a regular Bench after the vacation. Celebi moved the Bombay High Court after the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), under the Ministry of Civil Aviation, revoked its security clearance on the grounds of national security, amid heightened diplomatic tensions between India and Turkey, particularly over Turkey's stand in support of Pakistan during the Operation Sindoor. Celebi has filed three petitions, challenging the Centre's decision to revoke the security clearance and contract termination by the MIAL, terming the termination 'arbitrary' and 'illegal'.

Developed by a team of young engineers, ALS-50 is loaded with anti-jamming capabilities and several advanced features such as automatic target setting, anti-jamming capabilities and precision strike with an accuracy of less than two metres. The drone can carry a variety of warheads weighing up to 6 kg. This drone offers five flight modes: fully automatic, semi-automatic, surveillance, attack, and autonomous return-to-base. Future updates will incorporate artificial intelligence and swarm functionality.
