J Balvin, Doja Cat and Tems to Headline First-Ever FIFA Club World Cup Halftime Show
J Balvin, Doja Cat and Tems will serve as the headliners for the FIFA Club World Cup's first-ever Halftime Show, the organization announced Monday alongside the nonprofit Global Citizen, which will produce the show. Chris Martin of Coldplay, who's long been affiliated with Global Citizen, is curating the event.
The Halftime Show is set to broadcast on July 13th at MetLife Stadium, and it will air free globally through DAZN.com.

'From Medellín to MetLife — I'm honored to headline the first-ever halftime show of the FIFA Club World Cup final,' J Balvin said in a statement. 'It's a historic moment — for me, for Latin culture, and for every kid who dreams big.'
As Tems said: 'We're going to bring the world together for a beautiful moment — to celebrate football, feel the unity that music brings, and improve the lives of millions of children through the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund. I can't wait — see you at the FIFA Club World Cup final!'
In their announcement, the organizations said the Halftime Show will support previously announced FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which is seeking to raise $100 million for access for education to children around the world. FIFA and Global Citizen said Monday that $1 from each ticket for this summer's Club World Cup will go to the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund.
For the first-ever halftime show in a FIFA competition, we're proud to partner with Global Citizen to bring together a global superstar lineup,' FIFA president Gianni Infantino said in a statement. 'Together we are going to make history on a special occasion where football and music unites the world. FIFA and Global Citizen are partnering to support a powerful cause: giving every child the chance to learn, play, and dream. Not only that, but with every ticket sold, we're investing in their future through the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund. This show will be unforgettable – not just for its spectacle on a landmark night, but also for the lasting impact it will make.'
The Club World Cup will take place in the U.S. this summer from June 14th through July 13th. Aside from the Club World Cup, Global Citizen is also producing the World Cup final next year. The organizations said more information on that show will be announced 'in due course.'
Global Citizen is producing the Club World Cup Halftime Show in partnership with Live Nation, Done+Dusted, and DPS. Hamish Hamilton is directing and executive producing the show. Guy Carrington and Dave Meyers are also listed as executive producers.

Several World Cup host cities in the U.S. monitoring political situation amid President Trump's immigration crackdown
The U.S. host cities for the FIFA World Cup in 2026 admitted on Monday they were 'monitoring closely' the current political situation in the United States amid rising tensions over President Trump's crackdown on immigration — but insisted visitors will be made welcome at the tournament. FIFA's President Gianni Infantino claimed earlier this year that 'America will welcome the world' for next year's tournament, which will be shared across the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Infantino said: 'America will welcome the world. Everyone who wants to come here to enjoy, to have fun and to celebrate the game will be able to do that.' Advertisement Infantino has also claimed that FIFA's tournaments in the U.S., first the Club World Cup in 2025 and then the World Cup next year, will generate almost $50 billion in economic output for the U.S. Foreign travellers are integral to hitting these targets for both FIFA and the host cities. However, this past weekend has seen protests develop against the government, and clashes between protestors and the authorities. During an event in New York City to mark a year out from the 2026 tournament, host city officials were forced to address concerns that the current political environment may dissuade visitors from travelling to the United States. California has been a hotspot for the developments, with President Trump sending in the National Guard to protect immigration agents and the state of California now say they will file a lawsuit against the Trump administration. The administration last week imposed wide-ranging travel bans against over a dozen countries. Speaking in New York City, the Philadelphia host city executive Meg Kane said: 'For us as host cities, we recognize that our charge as host cities is to be prepared to welcome whomever is in our city and to make them feel welcome when they are there. There are certainly things that are happening at the national level, the international level. There are going to be geo-political issues that we don't even know right now that are going to affect the tournament next year. 'So we recognize that we're planning within uncertainty. One of the things that I think we all recognize is that we have to be really good at operating within that uncertainty. For each of our cities, we want to be prepared to make any person that makes the decision to come to the United States for this World Cup, feel that they are welcome. 'We do not play a role necessarily in what is happening in terms of the decisions that are made. What we can say is that the current administration — while there are certain situations that we are watching, that we are certainly monitoring closely — has been extremely supportive of the World Cup.' Advertisement 'It has to be recognized both now in the second term under President Trump — but also in the first term when President Trump was in power when the letters of intent were signed – how important FIFA World Cup is to elevating the nation and how important it is to sporting side. There is that understanding. I think we feel that that has been communicated to us at the federal level. Tyler Adams to miss US-Switzerland friendly because of foot injury
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — U.S. midfielder Tyler Adams will miss Tuesday night's friendly against Switzerland because of a foot injury. 'I hope it's not a big issue,' coach Mauricio Pochettino said Monday. 'I think we can manage in a good way and rest him a few days and then see if he can be ready for the Gold Cup.' Adams played the second half of Saturday's 2-1 loss to Turkey. The Americans open the CONCACAF Gold Cup against Trinidad and Tobago on Sunday. They already are missing are Christian Pulisic, Weston McKennie, Tim Weah, Antonee Robinson, Sergiño Dest, Yunus Musah, Folarin Balogun and Gio Reyna. Some are hurt, some want time off and some will be at the Club World Cup. The U.S. will be trying to avoid its first four-game losing streak since dropping five straight in 2007. Pochettino praised goalkeeper Matt Freese, who made his debut against Turkey in place of Matt Turner, the U.S. starter since 2022. Turner did not play for Crystal Palace after March 1. 'He was very, very good,' Pochettino said. 'Things that he needs to prove? Of course. But he needs to play and needs games with the national team. ... He has amazing potential. 2025 BET Awards will roll Monday night despite protests and unrest in DTLA
The BET Awards are going on Monday in downtown L.A. as planned, despite protests and unrest over the weekend linked to stepped up immigration enforcement by the federal government and the presence of members of the California National Guard. The show, which will air live from the Peacock Theater at L.A. Live for the East Coast and on tape delay here in the west, honors 'the triumphs and successes of artists, entertainers, and athletes in a variety of categories,' according to BET. This year marks the first quarter-century of the annual celebration, which started with the inaugural BET Awards in 2001. That show, held in Las Vegas, was hosted by Cedric the Entertainer and Steve Harvey. Kevin Hart will host this time around, with scheduled performers including Lil Wayne, Teyana Taylor, GloRilla, Playboi Carti and Leon Thomas. 'For over a decade, Kevin Hart has been a beloved part of the BET family, and we couldn't be more excited to have him return to host the 25th anniversary BET Awards,' Scott Mills, BET president and chief executive, said in a statement. 'His unparalleled talent, infectious energy, and deep connection to our audience make him the perfect host for this historic celebration.' 'We're setting the tone for a night that celebrates 25 years of impact, creativity, and Black culture,' said Connie Orlando, an executive vice president at BET, in a statement. Bow Wow, Amerie, B2K, Jim Jones, Mya, T.I. and more will perform as part of the tribute, 'bringing back the culture-defining energy, music, and moments of the history-making franchise,' BET said in a news release. Audiences can tune in to BET at 8 p.m. or show up early for the preshow, which begins at 6 p.m.
