Crocked Tottenham players spent twice as long on the sidelines than Liverpool's but who topped the Premier League's injury table?
Tottenham Hotspur were among the hardest-hit clubs in the Premier League this season when it came to player availability — but they weren't the worst off.
Spurs lost a staggering 1,553 player-days to injury — more than double Liverpool 's total — in a campaign that saw them slump to 17th, their lowest-ever Premier League finish.
Only Brighton players, with 1,944, missed more days through injury, while Ipswich (1,506 days) and Arsenal (1,297 days) also had serious availability issues.
The Gunners endured 36 separate injury cases. Only Brighton (48), Tottenham (41) and Ipswich (41) had more cases.
The figures, compiled by Premier Injuries, include any injury issue that forced a player to miss at least one competitive match. Illnesses and pre-season knocks do not count.
Manchester United (1,295), Bournemouth (1,185) and Manchester City (1,134) all lost in excess of 1,000 player-days to injury, while West Ham (672), Nottingham Forest (673) and Liverpool (765) fared best in terms of player availability.
Liverpool's fitness record was a key part of their title-winning campaign, with 11 outfield players making 30 or more league appearances.
By contrast, only five Arsenal outfielders hit the 30-game mark.
Meanwhile, several Arsenal stars — including Bukayo Saka and Gabriel — underwent surgery during the season.
Gunners manager Mikel Arteta previously admitted his squad had been left 'super-short', and has stressed the need for greater depth to handle the physical demands of the modern calendar.
Brighton, despite their injury crisis, still managed to finish an impressive eighth. But for others — like Tottenham and relegated Ipswich — the toll was harder to absorb.
Spurs, who had also been battling a packed schedule, won just 11 league games and came embarrassingly close to relegation.
However, their season ended on a high, as Ange Postecoglou's decision to focus on Europe in the second half of the campaign paid off.
Tottenham won the Europa League with a 1–0 victory over Manchester United in the final, salvaging silverware from an otherwise turbulent year.

Hope brought up the Windies' 200 with a towering six off Will Jacks, who two balls later prised out Carty, with the number three batter walking past a straight one to be stumped by Jos Buttler. While he had laid the foundations, it was a tame dismissal and marked the start of England dragging things back, with the recalled Shimron Hetmyer beaten on the inside edge by Rashid and given lbw. Hope made sure they did not capitulate with a typically assured knock but Mahmood snared Matthew Forde and Roston Chase with successive deliveries from the end where he had struggled at the beginning of the innings. Harry Kane greets Lewis Hamilton as England players take in Spanish Grand Prix
Captain Harry Kane, who led a large contingent of players at Barcelona's Circuit de Catalunya, greeted Ferrari's Lewis Hamilton before the race and offered his support for McLaren's Lando Norris. Kane was asked by former world champion Nico Rosberg if he had any advice for Norris, who is embroiled in a title battle with McLaren team-mate Oscar Piastri. 'For him it's all about preparation. I am sure he is prepared to the best of his ability and then it's going out there and being free. Purdy replaces Koppen as Ibrox technical director
Rangers' new American owners are continuing their restructuring of the club by appointing Everton's former head of recruitment Dan Purdy as technical director to replace Nils week, a US-based consortium, including the investment arm of the San Francisco 49ers, completed a multi-million pound takeover of sporting director Kevin Thelwell officially begins his role on Monday, and the club have moved to bring in Purdy to work alongside him, as they did at previously head of scouting for Dutch club PSV Eindhoven, originally joined Rangers as director of football recruitment in January 2024 before the Belgian stepped up to become technical director 10 months later. Now the club's new owners have decided to move in a different direction, though Koppen will assist Thelwell with the transition into his new Ibrox club are expected to appoint a new head coach soon, with Davide Ancelotti and Russell Martin believed to be the two main Cavenagh will be confirmed as the club's new chairman at an annual meeting at the end of June. His vice-chair will be the current chairman of Leeds United, Paraag Marathe. Patrick Stewart will continue as chief executive.
