Crocked Tottenham players spent twice as long on the sidelines than Liverpool's but who topped the Premier League's injury table?
Tottenham Hotspur were among the hardest-hit clubs in the Premier League this season when it came to player availability — but they weren't the worst off.
Spurs lost a staggering 1,553 player-days to injury — more than double Liverpool 's total — in a campaign that saw them slump to 17th, their lowest-ever Premier League finish.
Only Brighton players, with 1,944, missed more days through injury, while Ipswich (1,506 days) and Arsenal (1,297 days) also had serious availability issues.
The Gunners endured 36 separate injury cases. Only Brighton (48), Tottenham (41) and Ipswich (41) had more cases.
The figures, compiled by Premier Injuries, include any injury issue that forced a player to miss at least one competitive match. Illnesses and pre-season knocks do not count.
Manchester United (1,295), Bournemouth (1,185) and Manchester City (1,134) all lost in excess of 1,000 player-days to injury, while West Ham (672), Nottingham Forest (673) and Liverpool (765) fared best in terms of player availability.
Liverpool's fitness record was a key part of their title-winning campaign, with 11 outfield players making 30 or more league appearances.
By contrast, only five Arsenal outfielders hit the 30-game mark.
Meanwhile, several Arsenal stars — including Bukayo Saka and Gabriel — underwent surgery during the season.
Gunners manager Mikel Arteta previously admitted his squad had been left 'super-short', and has stressed the need for greater depth to handle the physical demands of the modern calendar.
Brighton, despite their injury crisis, still managed to finish an impressive eighth. But for others — like Tottenham and relegated Ipswich — the toll was harder to absorb.
Spurs, who had also been battling a packed schedule, won just 11 league games and came embarrassingly close to relegation.
However, their season ended on a high, as Ange Postecoglou's decision to focus on Europe in the second half of the campaign paid off.
Tottenham won the Europa League with a 1–0 victory over Manchester United in the final, salvaging silverware from an otherwise turbulent year.

Keacy Carty hits hundred as West Indies post 308 in second ODI against England
Carty was put down on one and 41 and also survived a couple of run-out chances to make 103 off 105 balls, but England fought back following his departure as they look to wrap up a first ODI series win since September 2023. Adil Rashid took four for 63 while Saqib Mahmood claimed three for 37 as the Windies were skittled in 47.4 overs at a blustery Cardiff. A post shared by We Are England Cricket (@englandcricket) Captain Shai Hope was last batter out for 78 off 66 deliveries although this was a much-improved batting display from the tourists, who made a paltry 162 to lose by 238 runs at Edgbaston on Thursday. They were put under pressure after losing the toss as Brydon Carse, with the wind at his back, got Jewel Andrew to splice to short point while he also drew the edges of Brandon King and Carty inside six overs, only for Ben Duckett to spill difficult chances. Duckett was overheard telling Carse on the stump mic he should have gone with two hands when diving to Carty and one when leaping to an opportunity over his head when King was on 11 instead of the other way around. The pair stitched together an impressive run-a-ball 141-run stand, albeit helped with Mahmood parrying a head-high gift from Carty, who could have been run-out twice but was allowed to regain his ground as Jacob Bethell threw waywardly before Duckett under-armed to the wrong end. Both batters went to fifty before King departed for 59 after shovelling Rashid to Carse in the deep, but Carty moved to three figures with a caressed cut off Bethell for his 13th four. Hope brought up the Windies' 200 with a towering six off Will Jacks, who two balls later prised out Carty, with the number three batter walking past a straight one to be stumped by Jos Buttler. While he had laid the foundations, it was a tame dismissal and marked the start of England dragging things back, with the recalled Shimron Hetmyer beaten on the inside edge by Rashid and given lbw. Hope made sure they did not capitulate with a typically assured knock but Mahmood snared Matthew Forde and Roston Chase with successive deliveries from the end where he had struggled at the beginning of the innings. Gudakesh Motie slapped four fours in Jacks' last over but offered a catch to Joe Root, who had dropped Hope on 73 the ball before, while Rashid had the second wicket of his last allotment after Alzarri Joseph missed a mow and was bowled. While Hope got the Windies passed 300, he toe-ended Mahmood to Harry Brook in the ring, leaving England needing 309.

Harry Kane greets Lewis Hamilton as England players take in Spanish Grand Prix
Captain Harry Kane, who led a large contingent of players at Barcelona's Circuit de Catalunya, greeted Ferrari's Lewis Hamilton before the race and offered his support for McLaren's Lando Norris. Kane was asked by former world champion Nico Rosberg if he had any advice for Norris, who is embroiled in a title battle with McLaren team-mate Oscar Piastri. 'For him it's all about preparation. I am sure he is prepared to the best of his ability and then it's going out there and being free. He knows he can do it, he's won enough already so hopefully he can go all the way,' Kane told Sky Sports. 'I watch the F1 as much as I can and obviously a few English guys doing well this season, so I'm looking forward to seeing them.' Kane briefly caught up with Ferrari's Lewis Hamilton and George Russell of Mercedes before the ninth race of the 2025 season started at 2pm. England boss Tuchel was also at the track ahead of Saturday's World Cup qualifier with Andorra in Barcelona. Dan Burn was one of several England players shown around McLaren's garage, whilst Chelsea quartet Reece James, Trevoh Chalobah, Levi Colwill and Cole Palmer were in attendance after Wednesday's Europa Conference League success. Arsenal's Myles Lewis-Skelly and Bukayo Saka were also present. John Stones joined the squad too after it was announced earlier on Sunday that he would continue his rehabilitation from injury with the England squad in Spain. Stones has been sidelined since February with a thigh injury and is not fit enough to feature in this month's fixtures with Andorra and Senegal. However, the Manchester City defender has decided to link up with the national team for the first time since Tuchel took over, having last played for England in October and only managed 20 club appearances during another injury-ravaged 2024-25 campaign. Newcastle defender Burn has benefitted from the absence of Stones and made his long-awaited senior debut at the age of 33 against Albania in March. He is eager to catch the eye again in Saturday's Group K fixture with Andorra, which will take place at Espanyol's RCDE Stadium. Burn added: 'I'm hot, actually very hot but I'm excited though. First time I've been at the Formula One.' Asked about upcoming opponents Andorra, Burn insisted: 'I don't know about formality, they're all tough games but excited for another camp and another World Cup qualifier.'
