The Copa Capana Water Park, in Athens, Greece, has been abandoned since one of the world's worst amusement park horrors in 2014.
11 years ago, a teenage boy died after an accident involving one of the park's key attractions.
The boy, aged 13, along with his younger sister, nine, were swept up by howling gust of wind while playing inside a large inflatable ball.
They were thrown from the surface of a swimming pool into a metal barrier 30 meters away.

The extent of the damage to the children was immediately apparent, and they were rushed to Agia Sofia Children's Hospital in the city.
Tragically, the boy died shortly after, after sustaining major head injuries which he would never recover from.
Doctors failed to resuscitate him.
Thankfully, his sister managed to survive.
However her injuries were critical, and she wad diagnosed with a severe lung contusion.
This is where lung tissue is bruised by a major blow to the chest, which causes bleeding and fluid accumulation.
Horror in Majorca as at least five bodies with hands and feet shackled are plucked from water off Brit holiday island
The incident led to the water park's two managers being arrested in relation to the incident.
Officers also began an investigation into whether safety issues had played a role in the boy's death.
In the end, Greek police decided that the disaster occurred due to a combination of "bad weather conditions and human error."
The park was closed for good shortly after.
Now, 11 years on, a group of explorers took cameras into the abandoned park to catch a glimpse of what remains today.
The 30,000 square meter park now appears to be under the exclusive management of mother nature, with overgrown plants weaving between the slides.
Carpets of moss cover the flumes, with the yellow plastic now sporting a green tinge.
Stagnant pools of water, which once collected those riding the flumes are now full of pond-life, such as tadpoles.
Dozens of sun loungers and outdoor tables have been stored away under one of the slides.
The explorers are YouTube group Urbandoned, who have 138,000 subscribers.
They managed to sneak into the park round the back, and had to fight through thick layers of vegetation to get through.
Eventually, a security guard approaches them, and offers to show them around abandoned areas of the amusement park.
This comes after urban explorer Lukka Bradburn found an abandoned
Western Village theme park near Nikkō, Tochigi, in Japan, shut its doors in 2007.
It originally opened in 1973 and was inspired by classic American and Italian Western movies.
Ultimately, the park later closed as a result of competition from Tokyo Disneyland.
Lukka found an intact replica of Mount Rushmore, as well as a stadium where crowds once watched jousting and other sports.

This may look like an ordinary 'holiday park'... but behind the electric fence is a dark reality

An Aussie filmed the moment he tried to gain access to one of the country's most controversial facilities that house dangerous sex offenders. Max Caruso attempted to enter the heavily guarded compound known as Corella Place, near Ararat, a town in Victoria that has a population of around 12,000 people. Caruso said he was inspired to investigate the site after watching videos about similar facilities in the US, including Florida 's infamous 'Pervert Park.' Corella Place isn't a typical detention centre: it's a purpose-built, high-security complex for offenders who have completed their sentences, but are still considered too dangerous to live freely in the community. Intrigued, Caruso set out to locate Corella Place for himself and documented the journey on his YouTube channel. During his visit to the town, Caruso spoke to several locals, many of whom expressed discomfort about living near the facility. 'They can come out of there, and walk straight out the gate,' one man said, voicing concerns about how freely the residents can move despite being under surveillance. Another local believed he had passed the complex multiple times, but still wasn't entirely sure where it was located. Caruso and a friend eventually drove out of town and followed Warrak Road to the site. The pair were stunned to discover how close the facility was to the Hopkins Correctional Centre, a men's prison. Taking in the view of what he dubbed 'the Pervert Prison', Caruso remarked on how comfortable the facility appeared. 'These people aren't even living that badly,' he said, pointing out the neat, uniform housing. 'This is basically a holiday park for them where they can hang out with their own kind and be protected from the rest of society. 'I thought it would be like a super accessible place, and you'd be able to walk in and see it. That is not the case.' The facility, surrounded by an electric fence, was heavily guarded, and the pair were quickly noticed by security. They were approached by someone in a van who questioned them about what they were filming. Caruso replied they were filming content for his YouTube channel, claiming they were just capturing footage of the surrounding farmland. But the reality of how restricted the area quickly became clear. Caruso said he risked being charged if he moved closer, and the pair left the site. Frustrated by the tight security and lack of access, Caruso vowed to return. 'We drove five hours just to look at a wall,' he said. Operated under Post Sentence Orders (PSOs), Corella Place residents are monitored around the clock, wear GPS ankle bracelets, and have restricted access to phones and the internet. Leaving the premises usually requires an escort. Dubbed the 'Village of the Damned,' the facility was designed to manage high-risk individuals post-release, keeping them isolated under strict conditions until their PSOs expire or are revoked. According to Victoria's Post Sentence Authority, as of June 30 last year, 123 people were under PSO monitoring. Ninety of them are under surveillance for serious sex offences, 20 for violent offences, and 13 for both. Over the years, Corella Place has housed some of Australia's most notorious offenders, including Robin Fletcher, the self-styled 'paedophile witch', who has remained under supervision at the facility since 2006. Among others is Theo Briggs, who raped a woman at knifepoint in 2009 while children were in the home. He escaped in 2016 but was later recaptured. In 2013, high-risk offenders Sean Carmody-Coyle and David Gregory Byrnes escaped the facility and were found 23km away. Carmody-Coyle managed to escape again in 2014, riding off on a mountain bike armed with knives before being caught the following morning. In 2018, child sex offender and inmate Gregory Paul Sedgman died at Ballarat Base Hospital after he overdosed on prescription medication at Corella Place. A review into the incident in 2022 found the death could have been avoided, leading to an overhaul of medication storage in the facility. It was revealed Sedgeman had taken more than he was initially prescribed, after an inmate distracted officers. 'If appropriate oversight of Mr Sedgman's case management occurred … his increased risk of substance abuse may have been dealt with more effectively,' the report said.

Vile Scots dentist snared by paedo hunters caught enjoying luxury Costa getaway before sentencing

A DENTIST who bombarded a girl of 13 with sexual messages is enjoying golfing holidays to Spain while awaiting sentencing, we can reveal. Steven MacMillan, 53, was tracked down by paedophile hunters after he had sexual conversations with the child on social media. 5 5 5 5 The beast admitted his sickening crimes, which included him urging the teenager to perform a sex act, despite the youngster revealing her age beforehand. MacMillan appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court earlier this month, where he pleaded guilty to communicating indecently with the girl between February and March 2023. But there were no bail restrictions placed on him travelling, which means the paedophile dentist has been brazenly jetting out to the sunny Costa Blanca where he has been golfing, relaxing and socialising, despite being on the sex offenders register. A source told The Scottish Sun: 'Locals are up in arms at the fact that he's been so brazen in coming over and cockily carrying on as though nothing has happened. 'He's been the talk of the community ever since the initial sting. We can't believe he's been allowed to come out here and mix freely with kids in bars and swimming pools. 'While others' lives have been shattered thanks to his depraved actions, MacMillan appears to be brazenly sticking two fingers up to the Scottish legal system. 'It's winding people up the way he's swanning round without a care in the world. It really is disgraceful.' It is understood he has been banned from visiting the communal pool in the laid-back expat community where his mum and dad stay. But last week, shameless MacMillan, of Dalkeith, Midlothian, was spotted enjoying a round of golf at the luxury Campoamor Resort in Orihuela Costa where his name was listed as a tournament player. He was also seen loitering topless on his balcony before smiling and chatting with his buddies on the sun-drenched fairways. Disgraced paedo lawyer rubs shoulders with MPs at key legal meeting - after being exposed as sick pervert It is also understood that the sicko has been learning Spanish and has plans to move to the country in the future. But MacMillan faces potentially being jailed when he returns to Scotland for sentencing. The court previously heard MacMillan and the girl, of Newcastle, chatted before she sent him an image of herself performing a sex act. He then began sending her a string of sickening voice notes. In one message, MacMillan told her: 'When daddy asks you to do something you better do it or there will be trouble.' The disturbing messages were discovered by the child's horrified mother. Members of a vigilante group then confronted him at his former home in Strathaven, Lanarkshire, and cops were alerted. After pleading guilty he was put on the sex offenders register and bailed. He has been suspended from working in dentistry by regulators since March 2023. MacMillan will be sentenced next month.
