'Thank you Malaysia, we have made history together.
'See you in 2026,' Hello Universe captioned their post.
Malaysia is currently the only country in South-east Asia with additional MCR shows.
A brief check online showed that the second-day ticket sale went more smoothly compared to the chaotic first-day sale in early July, which saw tickets snapped up within four hours.
The first-day sale was also marred by website crashes, as well as scalpers mushrooming online and attempting to resell tickets at exorbitant prices.
Some tickets, originally priced at RM499, were seen listed for resale at over RM900, intensifying calls for anti-scalping laws.
However, today, several users on X (previously known as Twitter) were seen complimenting the organiser and ticketing platform for their seamless ticket purchasing experience.
damn this is the most normal concert ticket that i purchase so far sumpah tenang 3 min je dah secured pls do like this la eh semua eo kat malaysia#MCRliveinKL #mcrinkl — シ (@jenhyuflmz) July 31, 2025
Decided to leave ticketing purely to our own fate and luck and they have decided that we should go for day-2 as well....
SEE YOU NEXT YEAR @MCRofficial !
Didn't expect ticketing to be smooth and secured our ideal section without burning our wallets #MCRLiveinKL #MCRinKL pic.twitter.com/rSxYY6IgpV — y e e (@kobrakiddo) July 31, 2025
'This is the most normal concert ticket that I've purchased. It is so seamless, it took me only three minutes to secure the tickets. To other event organisers in Malaysia, please take note,' user jenhyuflmz tweeted.
'Didn't expect ticketing to be smooth and (we managed to) secure our ideal section without burning our wallets,' tweeted user kobrakiddo.
MCR last performed in Malaysia in 2007. Other stops on the band's South-east Asia tour include Thailand, the Philippines, Singapore and Indonesia.

Actress Bella Astillah had to present award to ex-husband's rumoured fling

Bella Astillah (right) presenting an award to Sophia Albarakbah at the Melodi Hottest Awards on Aug 3. Photo: TV3/YouTube There was an awkward moment at Malaysia's Melodi Hottest Awards 2025 on Aug 3. Malaysian singer-actress Bella Astillah was one of the presenters at the event broadcast live on TV3 from Putrajaya International Convention Centre. The 31-year-old was presenting the award for the winner of the Hottest Female Celebrity category with Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman. Bella was visibly uncomfortable after she opened the envelope and saw the name of the winner. 'I know this one... I know her very well. Sophia,' she said, referring to Malaysian actress Sophia Albarakbah. Sophia, 32, went on stage after her name was announced. Bella swiftly passed her the trophy and a bouquet of flowers without making eye contact or acknowledging her. In early 2023, Bella accused Sophia of trying to wreck her marriage with her then husband, Malaysia-based Singaporean actor Aliff Aziz. Aliff and Sophia had both starred in the drama series Ku Akad Kau Dengan Bismillah (2023). Bella and Aliff, 34, first divorced in 2019, but reconciled in 2020. They divorced for the second time in June 2024 after Aliff was caught in khalwat (close proximity) with Malaysian actress Ruhainies, 33. Sophia was asked about the incident with Bella after the ceremony. "I'm OK because we're in the same industry. I never felt as if I was being mocked. Maybe that's just her way of presenting the award," she told entertainment portal Gempak. For the record, Bella and Syed Saddiq won in the Hottest Celebrity Couple Goals category, but she did not speak to the media. – The Straits Times/Asia News Network

Malaysian-born actress Lee Sinje to star in Netflix thriller ‘The Resurrected', marking her debut in a Chinese-language Netflix series

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 5 — Malaysian-born actress Lee Sinje (Angelica Lee) will star in the upcoming Netflix thriller series The Resurrected, co-directed by acclaimed Taiwanese filmmakers Leste Chen and Hsu Chao-jen, marking her debut in a Chinese-language Netflix series. Lee is no stranger to the world of cinema, having starred in acclaimed films such as The Eye (2002) — a role that earned her the prestigious Golden Horse Award for Best Actress — and The Garden of Evening Mists (2019). She also appeared in the political drama series The Election (2014) and served as a producer on the critically acclaimed Malaysian film Abang Adik (2023). In a statement, Lee shared, 'I've never encountered a female-driven story that's so intense, a little wild, and deeply emotional. 'It was such a thrill to be a part of it, and of course, I'm even more excited for the day we get to share it with audiences around the world,' she said. Lee will star alongside acclaimed Hong Kong–Taiwanese actress Shu Qi, who also makes her first appearance in a Chinese-language Netflix production, sharing that she was immediately drawn to the script, which she felt was bold and groundbreaking, not just for her as an actress, but for Chinese-language series as a whole. 'I've already seen some rough cuts during dubbing, but when I saw the teaser, I still went, 'Wow!'' she added. Set in the fictional city of Benkha, The Resurrected centres on two mothers Wang Hui-chun (Shu Qi) and Chao Ching (Sinje Lee) united by hatred, seeking revenge for their daughters caught in a fraud and kidnapping case. As dark secrets unravel, their alliance is tested in a story of vengeance, betrayal, and the limits of justice and morality. The cast also features Alyssa Chia, Fu Meng-Po, Sukollawat Kanarot (Weir), Chung Hsin-ling, Caitlin Fang, Lin Ting-yi, Liu Chu-ping, Vivi Chen, Rexen Cheng, and Patrick Nattawat Finkler. The Resurrected premieres exclusively on Netflix on October 9, 2025.
