The incident occurred during Beyoncé's first of two shows in her hometown of HoustonBeyoncé suffered a scary technical malfunction during her first of two Cowboy Carter shows in Houston.
On Saturday, June 28, the "Texas Hold 'Em" singer, 43, was performing her song "16 Carriages' in a car suspended above concertgoers at Houston's NRG Stadium when the prop began to tilt mid-air.
The scary moment was shared in a TikTok video, where Beyoncé is seen sitting on top of a red convertible as it begins to slant at a sharp angle in the air. She appears to be wearing a harness and is holding onto one of the cables attached to the car as it tilts.
'Stop, stop, stop, stop, stop,' the singer then says into the microphone as the music cuts out. Beyoncé remains suspended in the air and looks down at the ground and up again, before smiling at the crowd as they cheer.
After a few seconds while still suspended in the air, the singer is seen in the clip calmly telling the crowd, 'Thank y'all for your patience.' Beyoncé is then finally brought down to the center of the stadium.
As the vehicle gets closer to the ground, it stops tilting and the singer shuffles back to her original seated position on top of the car while smiling at the crowd as the lights are turned off.
'Omg she scared me,' a fan wrote over the clip. 'So glad she's safe and nothing happened!! SOMEBODY GETTING FIRREDDDD,' they added, referring to Beyoncé's iconic line from her I Am World Tour in 2010.

"Of course, you just want a healthy child, and a boy would've been exciting too, but there's something about a girl in this time that I'm just so proud of. I don't want her to be a performer or care if she's a doctor … but she WILL be a feminist." The Bratz star shared the intimate moment she realized she was pregnant, which occurred one day before she and Johnno were scheduled to meet with an IVF [in vitro fertilization] doctor for the first time. 'I realized I was late," Anneliese reflected. "So, I took a test, saw two lines, and canceled our appointment. I put the pregnancy stick on Johnno's pillow and watched him figure it out when he came in to bring me my morning coffee." The Raven's Home costars, who tied the knot in December 2024, also shared that her outlook on having kids has changed since she started dating the comedian. "First of all, we were the couple that said we would never have kids," the expecting mother said.
