
Police investigating incident at Portage Ave. and St. James St.
The Winnipeg Police Service said officers were called to Portage Avenue and St. James Street at 7:50 p.m. They said the call initially came in as a motor vehicle collision. They were unable to provide further details about the incident.

As of 10 p.m., more than half a dozen police cruisers, a forensics vehicle, and officers were still at the scene.
Police said they expected forensics to remain at the scene for several more hours. Southbound St. James St. between Portage Ave. and Ness Ave. remained closed.
Officers are continuing to investigate.
