Coin collector issues £2 alert as he says value of one will 'blow your mind'
Brits have been urged to check their pocket money for three rare coins - and one could 'blow your mind'. The rarest of these collectible pieces might bring in a £1,000, an expert says.
However, you need to look out for specific years, and in one case, a sought-after error. In a video shared on TikTok, an expert called the Coin Collecting Wizard showed what to hunt for.
He explained the three valuable coins to his more than 250,000 followers, reports Lancs Live. "Have you got any £2 coins?" he asked.
"Check out these worth big money - the last one will blow your mind." First, he told viewers to look for a coin called the Commonwealth Northern Ireland.
Because of an extremely limited mintage, this can be worth up to £65 in excellent condition. He explained: "This £2 coin known as the Commonwealth Northern Ireland is the rarest £2 coin you can find in your change.
"With only 485,000 minted it is worth around £35 in uncirculated condition and £65 if brand new." This 2002 coin is one of four different designs, each showing a different flag for the four UK nations.
The Northern Ireland variant displays the Northern Irish flag on the reverse (tails side), alongside a moving figure holding a banner. Next, he discussed the 2011 King James Bible coin.
This coin features the opening words from the Book of John on its tails side. In the golden edge of the coin it reads "King James Bible" and "1611-2011". The expert continued: "Only 975,000 King James Bible £2 coins are out there in your change. Released in 2011 this is becoming scarcer to find but if you are lucky enough to find it then it is worth around £4 in circulated condition and £20 if brand new."
Topping his list was the Lord Kitchener coin with a specific error. "£1,000 for this £2 coin," he exclaimed. "Yes, I told you this one will blow your mind.
"This is the Lord Kitchener £2 from 2014 but you need to find a rare error version known as a mule error, which makes it worth a grand. If yours doesn't have the words 'two pounds' on the Queen's side then you have found the rare error."
This coin marks 100 years since the start of the First World War. In February last year, an example of this coin fetched £1,000 at auction.

This one had sugar, fat, and the courage to be both milk and white chocolate. The white chocolate was soft and the milk chocolate was delicious. I bit in and god help me, it was good. B&M shoppers 'run' to stores for viral £35 'gorgeous' mirror
B&M shoppers have been searching stores for the "gorgeous" mirror that's gone viral on TikTok B&M shoppers are heaping praise on a "gorgeous" floor length mirror that's left them impressed. The budget retailer is well known for stocking on-trend and affordable homeware - and a new favourite may have hit the shelves. B&M is stocking the Full Length Mirror with Stand, priced at £35. It comes in black or gold and has proven hugely popular online. TikTok user @sadaaloves shared a clip of the mirror, alongside the caption: "£35 obsessed guys it's a NEED!!!!" The video racked up more than 5,000 views, and a number of likes and comments. Among them, one person said: "I'm hunting for this but my local doesn't have it." A second wrote: "I can't find it anywhere" and a third added: "I CAN'T FIND IT." A different person said: "RUN." Another wrote: "Literally going to a different one today! NEED this for my new flat." Another TikTok user, @sammibrooksx, also shared a clip of the mirror. The caption read: "Run, don't walk to B&M. I'm obsessed!!!" The video racked up 196.8k views, more than 9,000 likes and many comments from excited shoppers. One person wrote: "Love it" and a second said: "Been to literally 10 B&Ms not one sold this - so annoying." A third added: "How nice is that and the price is insaneee." A fourth shopper said: "Such a bargain!!"A fifth wrote: "I got mine in gold and I'm obsessed." The praise continued, with one shopper writing: "Oh wow! Flight attendant reveals little-known spot where cabin crew sleep on planes
A flight attendant has shared the little-known resting place for cabin crew on long-haul plane journeys - and social media users have been left seriously impressed. Charlie Silver, who works as cabin crew for TUI, gave viewers a closer look at the cozy sleeping quarters in a TikTok video recently uploaded to her account, @silvercharlie. In the clip, captioned 'Sleeping at 40,000ft in the sky,' the UK-based flight attendant revealed cabin crew are able to doze off in specifically formulated bunk beds located above the main cabin. The hidden beds, often referred to as crew rest compartments, provide a dedicated space for rest during long-haul flights, ensuring crew members are refreshed and energised for their duties. They're usually designed with multiple bunks, stacked vertically, to accommodate several crew members and pilots simultaneously, though they normally take turns rotating. While some compartments are basic, others may offer a range of features, such as privacy curtains, reading lights, storage space, in-flight entertainment systems and even climate control. In the clip, Charlie can seen climbing into the bunk and demonstrating how she gets ready for a much-needed snooze. She starts by fitting a freshly washed and ironed sheet onto the mattress, before placing down three small pillows. The flight attendant then unfolds a blue fleece blanket, unties her neckerchief and hair tie and settles under the covers before fastening a seatbelt over the lower half of her body. Over 300 viewers flocked to the comments to share their thoughts, with many calling for the space to be offered to passengers. One person wrote: 'I'd pay good money to have one of these instead of a normal seat,' while another exclaimed, 'This is so cool!!!' Marcus Daniels, 35, left the aviation industry in 2019 after five years of working on countless domestic and international flights. Over 300 viewers flocked to the comments to share their thoughts, with many calling for the space to be offered to passengers Although his cabin crew days are behind him, Mr Daniels still enjoys travelling and has mastered his approach to long-haul flights. His number one piece of advice: 'Be very mindful of what you're bringing onboard'. 'There's nothing worse than being the last passenger onboard, opening up all the lockers and realising there's no space to put your bag,' he said. 'Overpacking just adds more stress to you, staff and other passengers. It's too much drama and chaos. When I travel I have my small roller bag and a little side bag I can put under the seat in front of me. That's it. No pillow, no big jacket.'
